This album is the best!! I Love the movie and the music makes it.Does anyone know about the live performance of Fallout ?That makes perfect sense and I fully agree with you :pScience & Religion on the OST is comprised of 4m25a Black Tongue part A and 6m38 God Save Us. Hope this helps!I was never extremely gung ho about any of the films, but I do agree that there feels like a bit of charm was missing from this one. Especially in the tidy way everything wrapped up. I also found the villain to be extremely forgettable, basically a lesser version of Drago. But hey, at least the visuals were great.<br><br>And I do partially agree on the score, although I think it is hard to give a fair opinion until the music has actually been released. But while HTTYD1 has all of the best highlights and HTTYD2 (my personal favorite) has the best narrative development, I feel like this one works as a solid score on it’s own. The weakest of the three but still a pretty good score, if that makes sense.
Can someone please tell me which parts make Science & Religion and the rest of the Original Soundtrack release?I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed, movie wise and score wise. Although it's a very good score, it seems like all the highlights are when old themes come back. I'll definitely have to check it on album to see if this impression holds up, maybe it's only because I'm overly familiar with those themes, and new ones still have to grow on me (like with litterally every Powell release).<br><br>As for the movie, it felt like the charm and beautiful story of #1 have partly been replaced by poor jokes and loads of explosive action. There are moving moments here and there, but overall it left me quite cold.Assuming McQ changing up the crew for newer installments applies to the composers too, I'd certainly like to see someone else take the mantle. Would be interesting to see David Arnold tackle a different sort of spy film, or John Ottman taking a stab at it.<br><br>Though if anyone were to return, it'll likely be Balfe, just from all the buzz Fallout got. Would love to see Kraemer again, but the supposed BTS issues make that unlikely. You seriously mean to tell me "Light The Fuse" isn't fun or creative in the slightest? Probably is my favorite rendition of theme regarding just the films. III was certainly dull, but GP proved Gia had a voice for the series.<br><br>Balfe does do some cool things with The Plot, but I fail to see how his renditions of the main theme add anything new. Even the epic choir gets mostly dialed out in the final film. They're perfectly solid, but nothing that I'd say is great.I don't know if it's just me but the music doesn't sound as amazing to me like it did for HTTYD 1 & 2, granted i've only listened to the previews but i did the same for 1 & 2 and it got me hyped. I hope I'm wrong
So having seen the film I can say that this is tonally the most mature score of the series. The old themes all get their moment to shine, but surprisingly are used far less than the previous 2. There also seem to be some temped moments, with one scene using portions of “Battle of the Bewilderbeast” and so on. It will be interesting to see what is missing from the album.<br><br>In terms of new stuff, both “The Hidden World” cue and the “Fury Love Theme” are obviously the standouts. Especially in the way they develop throughout. And without spoiling anything, there are some beautiful choral moments in the last 15 minutes. As for the villain material, there wasn’t really anything distinctive that I picked up, which might change with a few listens. As everyone has said for the billionth time, NO. These are all unofficial fan-made edits or rips.Is this cd of the complete score available for purchase somewhere?I loved it a lot like you and was searching and searching with no result for a long time.... and know what? Did not forget about it UNTIL NOW!!! It was in a change room at my fitness studio when I heard a very faint sound and was tunderstruck!!! The melody I was looking for for so long!!! And Shazam helped me out: it is a song from the christians from 1995 or so, called: Words! You‘re welcome :-)))and tracklist<br><br>Pictures. Visit the official movie website for more information.<br><br>Here’s the album track list:<br><br><br> <br>1. Serenity<br>2. The Beast<br>3. Suit<br>4. Karen<br>5. Baker Dill<br>6. Patrick<br>7. Memory<br>8. Deliver Me From Temptation<br>9. He Wants Justice<br>10. Girl at the Bridge<br>11. I Am the Rules<br>12. Plymouth Island<br>13. I Remember You<br>14. Catch That Fish<br>15. How We See It<br>16. Creator<br>17. Justice<br>18. Alternate Reality<br>19. It’s Dad<br><br>
Saying Balfe has no imagination is beyond stupid. Take a listen at some of his work on animated movies (Home, or his work on KFP2-3), it's definitely not to work of someone without imagination.<br><br>On Fallout in particular, I honestly think he makes the best use of the classic themes in the series. That's maybe not "imaginative", as these themes aren't his, but it's definitely clever and not something every composer can do. Even an experienced guy like Michael Giacchino had 2 stabs at this franchise, and yet failed not only to give a memorable score, but also failed in using these classic themes in such a fun way.JohnWilliams Started out or rather got more into the realm of composing being doing Tv SHowsMeistermind - what’s wrong with being a TV composer ?<br><br>You sound like those idiots on Film music forum that think they know so much .The keyboard comment is exactly the nonsense said.<br><br>Fallout is one of the best action films ever in my opinion with a brilliant soundtrack.<br><br>Balfe is what in the 80s you might have called a TV composer. He has skills to get the job done but no imagination on anything. There'll be a few live bongos in the next film, a lot of supposedly live brass that sounds exactly like my keyboard, and no imagination. <br><br>That's the seemingly Chris Nolan way they want to go here. But if McQuarrie and Cruise are sticking to their mandate on making every film different, well how about (they are not going to go full Lathimos whatever), trying the Jeremy Dyson way, and go for Frank Ilfman. How about being more creative, Mansell has burned his bridges but still does excellent music but how about Richter, he can do anything, or even a Murray Gold. If you hire a pointless HZ flunkie, we'll get someone good, This used to be fine, but now with these dingdongs it is increasingly difficult<br>Balfe did produce both !!!!!!!!!!so ofcause they would sound related <br>Fallout was an excellent film and great soundtrack

Hello team, i would just like to add to the thank-you's, throughout the years you've been roxxin the world.
anyways i particularly enjoyed "time" but not for the movie instead it was used as an AMV on youtube for the japanese anime Zetsuen No Tempest. the story is epic suffice to say that it + time blew my heart away then and there.
So thank you very much :D

Dear Mr. Zimmer,

I went to tonights concert (January 13th, 2019) of your music in the Admiralspalast in Berlin and was thoroughly disappointed. Bad acoustics, weak sound. On the screen behind the orchestra they showed perhaps 10% original pictures from the movie soundtrack they played, most of it what they showed were unrelated cartoons. Many tracks of your music like Inception were hardly recognizable, none of your other tracks were played in a professional fashion. Why do you allow them to use your name for such a rip-off?

Best regards

Ralf Mathiesen

Goldenthal would be ideal - absolutely, but is there anything in Villeneuve's ouvre to merit such a grandiose score? If Balfe gets his dirty mittens on this, it will sound like any-other-thing. At the same time. Junkie's Mortal Engines is a huge orchestral fantasy score, precisely the kind that this film may deem old fashioned (I dare compare Junk XL to Krull with this score - they are as good!). It will probably just be Andrew Kaczxynski (under the Hans Zimmer label) farting into a tube and Barfe blasting out the same old string figure, but now, IMPORTANTLY, with Moroccan bowls (as his silly percussion for MI: Fallout seemed to be so impressive as it used bongo drums - JUST LIKE SCHIFRIN!! Yeah).

Mr. Zimmer sir you have to do a concert in Nashville Tennessee in 2019. I as many others have hoped for years you would come here, I think you could easily fill up the Nissan Stadium it holds about 70 thousand or maybe you would like Bridgestone Arena capacity about 20 thousand, it is said by many to have the best acoustics of any arena in the U.S. We also have the Nashville Symphony in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. We would LOVE to have you, Sir. God bless.

Hello. My english is not as good as it should be, so i will tell you, what i have to say, in german.
Sehr geehrter Herr Zimmer,

Man of Steel OST bewegt mich in jeder Faser meines Körpers.

Maestro Zimmer, like so many others, I am entranced by your choral piece "Aurora: Tribute to the Victims" first recorded in 2012. There must be a way that I can buy that recording. There are many versions floating around in the electronic sphere, but none with the clarity and beauty of your original. How can this be made available for purchase once again?

I was wondering that is there a Hans Zimmer library you need to license from Remote Control.

I kinda saw a composer's Cubase setup and he labeled one of his folders, HZ STR, HZ BRS, and HZ Choir.

Does Zimmer have a brass and choir sample library you need to have a license for?

Dear Mr. Zimmer (or those interested),

Over the years I have always enjoyed some of the higher-intensity compositions you have produced and made a point of putting my money where my mouth is and actually buying the soundtracks - money well spent. I've used specific songs of your's to get through moments of fatigue at work and also to prepare (silly as it may sound) for sporting events, even working out or running. I found them better than any rock or even electronic-type energetic music, until such a point, naturally, that I'd listened to them too many times and the magic wore off. Some of your songs rise to a crescendo that sometimes are powerful but perhaps lost on those who are unfamiliar with the corresponding movie scene ("Flight" from Man of Steel, it rises gradually but the concept you capture is magnificent, "Time" from Inception as well comes to mind). Some are obviously and undeniably potent like "A Dog Chasing Cars" or, going way back to when I learned of your work, "The Battle" from Gladiator which reminded me of "Mars, the Bringer of War", -- or even the latest "Sea Wall".

Admittedly this is odd but I can't help but wonder if despite all the solicitations you must receive it seemed to me I might as well send the following two-fold feedback: in the same way I was pleased to learn that Daft Punk was handling the soundtrack for the modern remake of TRON (and what a fine job they did) I was also heartened to find that you were handling the soundtrack for Blade Runner 2049. It seemed a good sign to me at the time and I knew I would buy a ticket at that point. That was a movie (BR2049) I was worried they would BOTCH much in the same way they completely did whatever it was they did with remake of Total Recall (in which they completely stripped it of its cerebral essence and made it a very long chase-scene).

All of this is to express some appreciation and also plug an obscure pianist from Montreal who has been on the CBC and all that, who, when I spoke to him after a show and compared some of his energetic imaginative work (Nostos comes to mind, and damn he hit 99% of those complex piano notes) to your's he admitted it was a dream of his to work with you under any capacity. Of course I suspect nothing will come of this but either way I think it harmless to tip my hat your way as a long-time fan who has utilized your music for motivation many, many, many times and also note that on my esoteric playlists five or six came from you and one or two came from him (Nostos, Il, Hypoctite)

Lastly, it should be noted for the historians that one time Jean-Michel Blais saved us Canadians (if you do the collective math based on viewership) a great deal of time and intellectual agony. Chevy was running commercials during the NHL playoffs (last year, not the the latest Washington Capitals win) in which an irritating scenario of "real people" were supposed to judge cars/trucks that popped out from behind sliding doors or lifted from basements (aircraft-carrier-style), and the poor fools/actors/allegedly "real people" had to say something nice about it all. It was such garbage. How splendid, how refreshing, then, that they ran a good commercial with someone just winding corners and enjoying driving the damn car to the music, which I recognized as JMB's "Hypocrite". He saved the society a good 10k hours of perniciousness.

Whew! That's all from me. Love the music, keep it up. Please give JMB a shot I think you'll find his attitude/ethic/skills refreshing. Regardless of that at least it was worthwhile of me to express my appreciation for ten years of masterful original music on your part anyway.

I'm all for banning trolls, but the Balfe guy honestly didn't say anything that bad this time. He just seemed like he was expressing an opinion not spouting the same "Hans Zimmer's music sucks now wah, wah, wah" argument. Granted he was kind of being a dick about it, but not sure if it was worth a ban.

Olive2018-04-28 02:26:03
I disagree. The guy uses several different "screen names", including some already-known screen names, to make provocative comments. Do you want to be accepted? Use a single name and discuss what you get without being a coward.

superultramegaa2018-04-28 02:45:54
Okay, I'll be devil's advocate here for once.

1. He uses screen names now because Hybrid was banning him, though there is no reason why he used different people's names other than to be a dick so I'll agree with that.

2. If he ever wants to discuss things seriously he can't because he'll get banned. I think it's possible that he might've wanted to discuss more on John Powell's Solo.

However I'll agree that it is cowardly to constantly change his name. If he does want to peacefully discuss, he should stick to one name every time he comes back. Plus he was shitting on Kawczynski and Balfe, but part of me thinks it might be interesting to hear his opinions instead of him just shouting about people he hates.

His comment on the Transformers score of his admiration of Jablonsky's use of choir for the Decepticon theme was interesting, and hearing some of his criticisms of Balfe was insightful as I didn't know Balfe consistently used samples and had a cheaper aesthetic as I've never gotten invested in a Balfe score.

His problem is his aggressive presentation. I just think he would be an interesting cynic to hear from regarding RCP. Then again we have Meta for that and he's not nearly as much of a dick about it.

Hybrid Soldier2018-04-28 07:35:52
I don't care what he wants to say. He went too far, he's a no go.

No matter what his "name" on the site is.

superultramegaa2018-04-28 15:06:33
Fair enough. I agree it's his fault anyway if he did want to actually discuss anything.

Olive2018-04-29 03:29:55
Yeah, it's a question of ID. But for us, who are mere readers, the "name" is important.
Well, after all, I was not always "Olive" (bullshit name xD / it's my surname).
