I LOVE this site! It's a great resource and pretty much THE go-to place for information on Zimmer and co. People need to stop destroying the integrity of this site by posting unofficial and unchecked tracklists, and requesting EVERY SINGLE SCORE in existence just because they found the track titles on ASCAP. I know Hybrid works very hard to get this information, and we should be happy with what we've got.
If you want bootlegs, do a little detective work and figure it out yourselves. Count on Hybrid to post what's real; the man does his homework.
Why is there no release for The Dilemma when these are on ASCAP?

Congrats H-Z.com for becoming the "almost" official website! Now, please, can you do some housecleaning and remove all the bootleg discussions around this place?

Actually, I'm not far from thinking that it'd be a very good idea...

You know, "Anynonymous", if I get the order, just a few clicks and the "secondary market" stuff listed on all this site is gone forever ! ;)
Your call, Antas & Nico ! ;)

well do it Hybrid do it, you have the power, don't you, what kind of arrogance. What maintain this site as number one for over the years was definitely the information of many of the unreleased scores. But, like you say, just a few clicks and the secondary market in gone forever, it's your page.

You present a valid point Anonymous. Sure, some of the discussions of recent have gotten out of hand and are a mess, but there are many useful pieces of information around this site. I'd think it would be sad to lose all that information, especially since this place is about the only place you can find it.
It may be a drastic analogy (just because I couldn't think of anything on a smaller scale) but it'd almost be like the burning of the Library of Alexandria. So much information was stored there, and then it got burned down losing countless priceless documents for all eternity. What great writings could have been there that we never even knew existed? If you choose to delete whatever you want to, you could be destroying information that could have been of value for many years to come.
Perhaps, I don't entirely understand what all Hybrid was thinking about deleting, but I'd just like you to consider these sort of things before making a regrettable decision.

Don't you think bootleg discussion would continue either way? I mean, let's be real here, most of the crap discussions about fake complete scores actually take place on the topic boards for official albums (like recent Inception, Sherlock Holmes, ect). Deleting the secondary market pages wouldn't stop these discussions. In all honesty, it would probably just make the problem even worse, due to the scramble and lack of information. I think if we could just revert back to merely a few months or so ago, when the bootleg discussion was minimal yet consolidated and helpful, then we would see the balance.
I don't know if Hybrid was just making a veiled threat there, but going through with the decision in question just seems like it would be counterproductive, unnecessary, and, above all, regrettable. I second everything the others said, and affirm the usefulness of the information you're threatening to delete. Anon has a point; the secondary market pages are what make this site so unique.

Thank you Mr. Fate!!!!, finally someone understand my point of view.
I just bought the album Kettle Whistle by Jane's Addiction and to my surprise I saw Harry Gregson-Williams produced a couple of tracks on it. Some of these tracks were also mixed/recorded at Zimmer's old studio, Media Ventures. As a fan of both Jane's and HG-W, I was pretty excited about this. Anybody here know more about this unusual collaboration?
Awesome ... Awesome Music...awesome soundtracks ... in every movie...i love your tracks!!! ...unbelieveble ...!!! THANKS FOR THIS EMOTIONS AT WATCHING FILMS WITH YOUR MUSIC TRACKS!!!!!!
HELP - fans like you may be able to help me :0) In the big battle scene from "On stranger tides" the score "lends" a little bit from a big classical score. I just can't remember which classical piece. Can you help me? I'm going slightly mad here. Best wishes Louise - Denmark

It doesn't.
Go to IMDB and check the soundtrack / source cue listing if you don't believe me.
Ich würde mir wüschen wenn eine mischung zwischen, (0,34s,2,12s THE LAST SAMURAI THEME SONG UND TEARS OF THE SUN THEME SONG 3,28s,5,47s.
I really like the music Hans Zimmer and the people he works with create and I became curious about his work and his career. So I visited some websites and found the following information on imdb.com :
"He told in an interview that he would retire for some years after The Dark Knight, saying he has been exhausted in the past years. He also said that he wants to help young composers and would produce their scores..."
That impressed me and earned my appreciation. But then I checked whether it's a valid information or not because I thought it would mean that he wants to try to help and support young composers, that he would try to encourage and promote young talents. Anyways I must have got that wrong because when I came to this site one of the first things I read was " Hans Zimmer and other composers from Remote Control do not accept demos or unsolicited audio/video material. Please, don't ask us how to contact them either. " But then if I didn't get it wrong, and I must say I hope so, how will he be able to discover talents? If there was somebody who is really a great composer/musician, how could he get to know it when it says that he doesn't want to be contacted? I'm just curious about that and I hope I can get some answers, thank you (:

You said you were curious - here are the answers
1. Start composing ; get a degree ; compose for anything you can get paid for.
2. Get representation - Zimmer/Rifkin Remote Control Productions can't solicit material from you or Joe Compose without an (accredited) agent or manager.
3. In terms of contacting - these (awesome) dudes can't because they run a FAN SITE.
4. Networking - everyone knows someone. And some people might know a guy who's an RCP dude. Being nice and a book of faces are your film friends are key here.
5. GET OUT THERE AND DO IT. Because procrastination gets you nowhere.
Congrats to Henry Jackman for being nominated in the WSA Discovery of the Year category..... let's hope he wins as he will then perform the following year in Ghent. Bravo and good luck Mr Jackman!
Does anyone know where I can find a copy of a song called "Price"? I understand it was either composed or remixed by Ryland Allison while working with Hans Zimmer. Any leads?
Saw new Steve Mcqueen film "Shame"at Venice Film Festival last week. The opening & closing music is very similar to The Thin Red Line score. Does anyone know if this is intentional? Is it a variation on the original theme? HZ is not credited...
Is it ok for a man to cry while listing to Hans Zimmer soundtracks...where does he get inspirations to produce such beaultifull music...are you in touch with the supreme power...may God bless you and keep you halthy and happy and alive for years and years to come...so you can bring more majestic beautifull soul touching music to the rest of us...thank you Rico.
@Antas, Nicolas and possibly Damien The 5-star rating system: It kind of gives a much more vague/inaccurate idea of a score's real rating than the old 10/10 system since it apparently can't display half stars or fractions of stars.
Is this a capability you're planing to add to the 5-star system? If not, well, I like the 5-star idea, but the 10/10 system was really more useful...

I think displaying half star (or even quarter but perhaps less readable) could be done, but you will not be able to rate it with such a detail (you will be able only to give whole star note).

Right, I think that would be fine. You could still get a better idea of the aggregate fan rating, or if the HZimmer.com rating really is a 4.5 instead of a 4, etc.
Hallo! Leave no man behind ist mein absoluter favourite. Immernoch.

Hello Mr. Zimmer, thank you so very much for your great, great soundtrack of 'pirates of the caribbean 4'! As soon ist was available at amazon I bought it and now it runs in 'infinite loop'.
But - alas - I do not understand the textes of the choir-parts, for example in 'mermaids' or 'on stranger tides'. My english ist not so good (as you can read ;-]). Is there a possibility to get the textes, can we read them anywhere in the internet?
Well, if there ist no chance - thank you despite for your great music! Sabrina

I hate to break this out but....
The Green Lantern OSt really sucks....Its like He's trying too hard to be like Zimmer. Which is exactly what Doyle did with Thor...Tried too hard. but Doyle's score was way more coherent than this one...
