It's nothing short of a masterpiece, a modern opera. The choir is beautiful, and the choice of gospel for the first track gives it a unique identity, though I'm not sure how well it meshes with the orchestra. It feels a bit off, but will hopefully improve for me on further listens.

The composition, has to me, elevated Powell to the status of the second best living composer (Williams is still first for now). Rogue One is a bit of an odd one. From what I'd heard, Desplat had joined on the condition he'd be allowed to do his own thing and not ape Williams. But once they decided to overhaul the film, they pressured him to go that exact direction. Things stayed still for a while (in which he still got paid) before he was finally let go very late into production. So the idea he sorta just left is interesting, so I'm curious to hear what that was about.

For BW, it seems very likely to me that Marvel simply were unsure about Alexandre's music, so I'm guessing they hired Balfe to do some demos and decided from there. Who knows what the exact timeline is, but I'd wager it'd have to at least be this year if he's been on it a bit. Especially with AD's name having stayed on the posters during it.Hybrid, Desplat left Rogue One just for his own idea? I know he left that movie beacuse schedule conflict for the reshoots.
But for Black Widow seems that the replacement was since months ago with Lorne writing and recording the score at the same timeht tp:// filmmusicreporter. com/2020/04/01/ track-list-for-disneys-live-action-mulan -soundtrack-album-revealed/

Why release a tracklist for an album that won't be released for another 6 months at least. That's just a punch in the gut, in my opinionSo it won't be a last minute and hasty job?No idea but he was on it for a bit, I think.
Hybrid, do you know how long Lorne had to score?Score is recorded already.Yup, which makes me wonder if they had to wait before announcing it, considering Desplat was still being listed in posters prior to the delay.I think Lorne teased this some time ago by sending a picture of researching Russian music on insta (maybe)Hello,

I'm looking for the translation of the song God Yu Tekkem Laef Blong Mi in English of French.

Could anyone help me ?

Thank you !

Mr. Zimmer,

I'm sure you've heard enough people tell you what an amazing job you've done composing music that is both uplifting and inspiring. I just wanted to say as a young filmmaker, your music from Dark Knight and Inception has inspired me to write both screenplay and music.

There is something in your music that expresses some of the deepest of human emotion and every time I listen to it, it touches my soul. I think "Old Souls" from Inception is your best piece yet followed closely by "Lasiurus" from Batman Begins.

My hope is that one day, when I'm in Hollywood, I will get to work with you. Setting your music to one of my films would be an honor, sir.

I know you're a very busy guy, but I would love to send you a copy of my screenplay for my short film. My email is treeoflifeproductions@gmail.com. Even if I don't hear back from you, please continue to bring inspiration to the world with your music.

Hans, I'm using a translator to write, please excuse if there are grammatical errors. I have 15 years and when I saw the film Spirit was fascinated with your music. I started searching all your discography, and further, that film (with music) made me feel new things: love of horses (now I practice riding), passion for music (I play the piano) and a taste for film music.
Frankly, I consider you a genius, and thank you for what you do, because otherwise I would have loved your music would never be doing so many things that I'm happy.
I want you know, sure I'm not the only person that improve lives, and wanted you to know, because as an artist, you might like to see than people changed with your work.
I send a big welcome, and sincerely I would contact you by e-mail, but I know that is impossible with the artists.
I hope you keep writing more, delighting your audience.
Mailén.

Hello Mr. Zimmer,

I am a graduate student studying Music Technology with an emphasis in Electronic Composition. I want to become a composer for films and video games. I have been a huge fan of your music ever since The Lion King, when I was growing old enough to appreciate film music =) You are incredibly talented! Your music makes each film so much more powerful. It would be an honor to have a chance to intern or work with you. I am also interested in any general advice you have about getting started in the music business. I would be more than happy to send you a résumé and/or some samples of my music. My email address is lnhuddleston@gmail.com. I know you are extremely busy, but I would be ecstatic to hear from you!

Thank you,
Lindsay

Mr. Zimmer,
I promised my sister named Jessica Jimenez I wouldn't but she is a fourteen year old girl who is striving to be more like you. She is constanally trying to go to one of your concerts, but fails to do so. At the moment she is learning to play the guitar, and has picked up the flute, piano and is very good at making her own notes. I want to say thank you very much because without you as her rolemodel she'd be lost. Her words to me are that one day she'll meet and train with you...the best! Thank you and have a wonderful day! :) Becca

Mr. Zimmer,
Just wanted to tell you that you are an extremely talented guy. The movies I've seen that you have done the score for are amazing. They help push the movie from something good/ok/great into something fantastic. The music complements the mood and setting and pretty much whatever is going on in the movie so well. I am a particular fan of the action movies you have done like Broken Arrow, The Rock, Dark Knight, the Gladiator score was absolutely beautiful. Big fan, keep doing what you are doing.

Dear Mr. Zimmer,
My name is Diego Aldonza Crespo and I am a percussionist from Spain, really passionate about your music, specially one of your later releases "Batman - The Dark Knight". I have always wished to play soundtracks music, because I think it's the next natural step of classical music, and it talks about modern life.
I finished my Bachelor studies in Zaragoza (Spain), and I have a percussion duo with wich I have performed a lot of concerts including Bach music, tango pieces, Zivkovic duos... but it was always too tipical. So listening to your music I had a great idea that would allow me to achieve one of my dreams!! And it is to make some arrangements of your music for duo and electronics, including Midi sounds and tape. I'm writting because I would like to know what you think about it and because counting with your support would be great. I know it sounds very crazy and probably you will never read this, but I hope you understand that I had to try!!
If you want I can send you my resume so you can see that I'm serious about music.

Thank you very much in advance!
Sincerely,
Diego

Dear Mr.Zimmer,
My name is Torsten Gran-Ruaz. First and foremost I just wanted to say that I really love your work, and it has inspired me to want to do film composing. I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada and I play mostly guitar and piano. I know that the road to a musical career is a difficult one but I am willing to work as hard as I possibly can to make it happen. I am currently in grade 11 at high school, but I am planning on going to Humber College/University in Toronto for a bachelor's degree in contemporary music. I was inspired to contact you when I heard about Ramin Djawadi, because he seems to have been in a similar situation (guitar player, written for bands, etc) and I heard that he was helped greatly by you to achieve his goals. I was wondering if you could recommend maybe some schools or paths I could take to one day perhaps be taken under your wing, or if you're too busy, if maybe there's someone else who could help me out that you could recommend. Again I love your work and thank you for helping to inspire me! I understand that you're a very busy man, and it would be a treat to hear from you.

Thanks and have a great summer!

Torsten

Love Hanz Zimmer, I think his best stuff for me personally was the Broken Arrow OST.

certain parts are so chilling, I know a big part of it is the choir, but the way it goes from calm to chaos is really engaging.

Germany should be so proud.
