Hi. Just wanted to say that I have been a fan of Han Zimmers for a long time. The site loks great-good job. I was just wondering if it was at all possible to be able to get in contact with Hans Zimmer himself? Ive included my email in the same... Also wanted to say that the Batman Begins soundtrack is my favourite
Hey i just wanted to say that i have been a huge fan of Hans ever since i was a kid.
I saw Rain man....then many years later heard the soundtrack from the Lion King. I noticed a trend of some really great stuff. I have kept up with a lot of the movies Hans has done.
The Davinci Code soundtrack is fenominal.....must say....little known. My favorite is the "Spirit: Stallion of the Chimiron" Soundtrack....."Run Free kicks ass.
fun site, but too much confused. The menu is not so clear when I search "Hans Zimmer" I prefer to find Zimmer music first, not Zimmer productions and more.
I want to say to Zimmer that his music is absolutely amazing!I like so much Gladiator, The Rock theme and also Da Vinci Code (Cavaliers du Sangreal the best one!). Wonderful music...
I just wanted to pass along how much I enjoy Hans' music, as well as the website. It's a wealth of information for his fans, and it's also nice that there are profiles on some of the key musicians who Hans collaborates with as well.
One artist in particular, guitar virtuoso PETE HAYCOCK, has always been a favorite player of mine, and I applaud Mr. Zimmer for his great taste and judgment in choosing Mr. Haycock to add his considerable guitar talents to the several soundtracks they've worked on together. It was also great to hear many of these artists perform LIVE with Hans for the "Wings of a Film" concert; a lovely sampling of his great soundtrack work.
I was fortunate and blessed to have Pete Haycock provide all of the music for a documentary featurette I made recently about the Hollister Independence Rally, an annual motorcycle rally that has attracted more than 120,000 people to this small central California town for a 3-day celebration of "The Birthplace of the American Biker". The DVD is entitled "HOLLISTER 2005 -- THE OFFICIAL RALLY DVD", and Pete's music really raised the bar for the visuals to aspire to match. The DVD helps raise donations for a local Hollister-based shelter for abused women and children, and we were indeed grateful to Pete for his kind involvement.
Equally cool was the fact that this DVD project inspired Pete to go back to the studio and extend some tracks -- and add some others -- which resulted in his amazing recently-released 13-track CD entitled "BIKERS' DOZEN"!
For those of you who have enjoyed Hans' scores for "Drop Zone", "K-2", and "Thelma & Louise", among others, you'll likely recognize the sounds of Pete Haycock's magic fingers working the fretboards on several tracks. If you like that (and who doesn't?), then you should check out "BIKERS' DOZEN" -- it's a dynamic collection of some of the best guitar-driven compositions out there, and a must for any fan!
For more information about the Hollister Rally DVD, you can go to the Pelicam website at: http://www.PelicamProductions.com
And, for more information or to order Pete's "BIKERS' DOZEN" CD, you can go to his official website at: http://www.PeteHaycock.com
Thanks again, Hans, for all of the amazing soundtracks you've produced -- and that we've enjoyed -- over the years! Keep up the stellar work!
People don't waste your time on buying the Da Vinci Soundtrack. It is terrible. One of Hans worst. Very boring and had no theme to it. The only good song was #14 which wasn't by Hans. I will wait for the pirates soundtrack to come out before i give up hope on Hans.
May I ask a question? Could a man have no self-respectful heart? Why? Thank for answering me. Could a man has no self-respectful heart when he was born?
Is e-mail for new information out of use ? I could not find it in your site. So, I wrote here.
I found interviews.
Mark Mancina interview ( Japanese ) http://anime.excite.co.jp/blood/iv/iv_mark.html
He came to Japan for promotion ( Blood+ soundtrack ). This soundtrack have a good reputation in Japan. CD shops often pick up this CD by composer's name ( Hans Zimmer and Mark Mancina ). It is rare in Japan. I wish many Japanese know RC's music by this CD. Regrettably many Japanese people don't care almost about soundtracks. They don't even know composer's name.
Klaus Badelt interview ( By M-AUDIO.com ) http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=artists.interview&ID=a5d0f97525f4fb6ab32b1d5db48a0f16
People, you will not believe what horrific foundings came to me. I heard this song by Gustav Holst called Mars. A part of it sounds exactly like the battle theme in gladiator. Say it isn't so Hans. I had so much respect for you. Somebody please listen and tell me im wrong cuz i really liked Hans. Here is the link, listen to it all and you will be shocked! http://www.aquarianage.org/lore/files/mars.mid
we should create this page in german too, because Hans Zimmer is german nationality! I'm from Switzerland and can speak and write german, french and english. Maybe I could help you; creating Hans Zimmer Page(s) in german/french.
