You know this score can be quite good sometimes. i find myself getting really into the new themes and ideas and thinking this score really had potential.. but then the track awkwardly switches to a painfully obvious temp from AWE that doesn't make any sense any way you think about it and my eyes roll so hard it hurts.<br><br>Fantastic score, very much in the vein of Chicken Run and his other animated scores at that timeOne of the few Powell scores I still haven't heard. I remember the music working well in the movie, but I really need to listen to the whole thing separately. Any opinions on it from Powell fans?I agree. Though the album selection is pretty solid, those tracks you mentioned are definitely missing! It's criminal that Mr Charles, Strategy, and It's a Trap weren't included on the OST. I guess we did get It's a Trap as a bonus track, but it wasn't the film version.
Well with that score we got pretty lucky in term of theme suites being released, with 5 of them. I don't know for sure if there's more but I think we have it covered.Hybrid, do you know if any suites were written besides the ones that they released?“Our World” is a pretty amazing track, the “Murph” suite is also incredible just in how it gradually builds to that finale...Dust, Who's They, and Our World are other favorites, for sure. Our World is some fantastic ambient music. Before the film was released, I expected most of the score to sound like "Our World."Mountains too... The Tick Tock suite.<br><br>"Our World" is a fav' of mine too, how could they not release it ?
Coward is amazing. Ntfc is overratedDon’t forget Coward! :DI don't think Cornfield Chase is underappreciated because that is the cue everyone is talking about besides No Time for Caution and Mountains. The most underappreciated cue to me is Dust. The amount of mystery, wonder, and curiosity from that cue is amazing. The development of the music in season 2 is great.<br>Love the Westworld suite, a lot of Person of Interest in this cue :)<br>Listening With A Million Ears In the West :)
Mike, I definitely agree with you. I think that Cornfield Chase is an excellent example of Zimmer's diversity in music. It shows that He can compose themes that are adventurous and light-hearted rather than being so dark, which is quite different from a lot of his works including his other collaborations with Nolan. So everybody talks about No Time for Caution, and that is a great cue, but I think an underappreciated track from this score is Cornfield Chase. It sounds so whimsical and uplifting. It captures the wonder and fun of childhood really well. The fact that it's so driven by the pipe organ makes it even better. I love how Hans incorporated the organ into most of the tracks.Does Paul Mounsey secretly compose everything??? He seems to be involved in so many scores.Hi guys. Do you know who will compose the score of wonder woman 1984 ? Rupert again ? Or hans ?General Kenobi!

Hi, I think that the music is awesome ! I make my personal diving movies ( not for sale and just for me and my friends ) and I think that the music of Zimmer fit 100% the scenes but I don't want to break the copyrights...so how can I do it ?

Thanks

HI Hans and gang,

You are exactly the kind of hero I like - an unsung hero !

Your music is brilliant. Gladiator, Last Samurai, and my all time favourite Black Rain. The closing theme is just unforgettable, where did you get the inspiration ?

Though I would much prefer to ask the composer himself, that option seems to be unavailable, so I shall ask the community of fans instead. In the song "Deliver Us" from The Prince of Egypt, around 5 minutes in, is a solo. The instrument that plays that solo sounds like a flute crossed with a recorder, and I would like to know what that instrument is. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Hello Mr. Zimmer, I am a very big fan of you .
I am just curious to know if you are aware of music maestro Mr. Ilayaraja , the master composer from India. Have you heard his compositions (both songs and BGMs) ? .
I am really curious to know if you have heard about him and that's because I consider him as my GOD of music.
I'll be really shocked if the answer is NO. Thanks .

I enjoy listening to music and instrumentals. My comment to Hans Zimmer and his team is that I really enjoyed listening your music, especially from the soundtrack of Regarding Henry and Green Card. I really enjoy it. Thank you.

Hello Mr.Zimmer, I really love your music.
I know you hear it all the time,it is so difficult to describe in words. Power, tears and all the time goose bumps. How music can wake up so many feelings is your magic. Thanks first for this.
I'd like to hear you live in concert. I see there is a concert in Poland, are you personally there? I'll be the happiest man on earth to see you playing TIME on the piano.
I'm from Germany, are there plans to give concerts in Germany with you?

Hi, I am interested in creating a short film. Would it be possible to get permission to use music from the Interstellar soundtrack in the video?

Thank you

I see a loooooooooooot of people requesting music... Well, you guys have to ask music publishers !

In the case of Hans, go to ASCAP, request THEM !

Hi Mr Zimmer and team,
I'm a big fan of your music, you bring an extra dimension to each film you work with. One of the best works I' ve seen (or listened to, actually) is "Inception", the 2010 Chris Nolan's motion picture. An outstanding job you did here, really. Along with the film there was an iphone app released. Something awesome. I use it a lot. Whenever I travel, or try to sleep, or having a "siesta", or when I need to be focused at work, or when I ride my bike, or walking home.... However, since I upgraded to iphone 6, the app doesn't work as it should. I was shocked there is no way to contact support to report the problem, other than the app store where no problem is ever solved. I was wondering if you could assist on this. Maybe you can get me in touch with the developers team to report the bug, or escalate the issue. It would be great and I'll be more than grateful.
Thanks in any case.
Cheers
Javier

Dear Mr. Zimmer,
There is a bollywood movie that is about to be released named 'Bajirao Mastani'and they have copied your music from the movie,Man of Steel(Arcade soundtrack). I am a big Man of Steel fan and and this is just ridiculous as firstly they copied your music and have the audacity to modify and use it in the mainstream. Here is the link to the trailer

What happened with Harry scoring Southpaw?

Edmund Meinerts2015-06-03 11:32:56
Don't know, but James Horner was announced on it quite a while ago, so I think people were only assuming Harry would be on it because of his previous Fuqua collaboration The Equalizer. I don't think he was ever officially attached, was he?

Hybrid Soldier2015-06-03 11:35:23
No Edmund, Harry stated in an interview like 2 weeks before Horner's interview, that he was going to start it... Don't know what happened.

Edmund Meinerts2015-06-03 12:01:08
Hm, weird indeed. James Horner seems like the last guy you'd expect to see scoring an Antoine Fuqua movie, that's for sure!

Dear Mr. Zimmer

I am currently studying in my Final year at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, majoring in film composition. For my mini-dissertation I am analysing the developmental characteristics of your film scores. It would benefit my research immensely if I could email you a short questionnaire regarding my work.

Kind Regards

Josh

Wow, I can't think of anyone the best of the best other
than Mr. Hans Zimmer! Luckily I stood next to him, if
recalled correctly, at a film showing for the Italian
Film Festival a few years ago. To experience Mr. Zimmer
and his music in so many films keeps getting better.
Music is "a universa language" and it makes all alright,
alright. Bravo, and wishes for a long, healthy life to
you (Mr Hans Zimmer).
