Gal and Ben also announced their support for the Snyder Cut!Something is coming, Junkie XL aka Tom just posted this
https://twitter.com/Junkie_XL/status/1196111682398867456
#ReleaseTheSnyderCutI want that film version of John's theme. heard in the arcade scene and airport scene at the end of the film.Nope. They were recreated using film stems.I found a version of this soundtrack online that contained several alternate versions of "No Time For Caution", as well as two additional suites, supposedly titled "Endurance Suite 1" and "Endurance Suite 2". I've listened to both and they both seem legit, but are they a part of this complete score?
truly amazing score! zanelli shows here that he mastered the DNA of the pirates music. would love to see him talk about this series, what makes its music so unique & recognizable, etc.

i think what's happening is that there are far too many characters, each with their own themes, to focus & develop any one in particular. salazar is the exception, in both the movie and the music. his intriguing character is the reason i watched the movie. and his theme kept coming into my head months after the movie.

but yea there are too many stories being unpacked onto the viewer in just a few hours in the latest pirates. but zanelli did a great job all the same.Balfe is the best composer since Powell from the Zimmer training
After hearing what Lorne Balfe did for Mission Impossible it would be great to hear what he would do with the James Bond theme.
Ok.But still it would be awesome if Djawadi is composing The EternalsWell, unless you have a source, or can point to a credible publication reporting Romer is not scoring it, I think it is safe to assume (for now) that the composer announced and still listed on the official website as the composer for the film is in-fact the composer for the film..

He wouldn't be my personal choice for the job, but I am not going to ignorantly pretend that he isn't currently the hired composer.
I was at the concert yesterday in Denmark, words can't describe what i felt, it's something that has to be experienced in person, truly amazing.

Music is one thing, but the lights and video along the show was awsome, that can't be described, you have to be there.

I hope for a bluray version of a concert, I will gladly be the first to buy it.Jackman has always been my favorite of his "generation" of RC composers (in which I also include Balfe, Djawadi, Örvarsson, Margeson and Streitenfeld - the ones who broke out about a decade ago). I think he's the best orchestral writer other than Powell and I always appreciate the clean, organic sound of his scores - like with Powell's scores, Jackman's orchestra always sounds real and clearly distinct from the electronics, unlike Balfe and Zimmer himself who use samples a lot more and blur things in the middle. That's true even of scores of his I don't like, such as Winter Soldier.

I do wish he'd stop stripping the electronics off of tracks for his album releases though. That seems like a strange way to address the criticisms he got for Winter Soldier - kind of missing the point.Any plans for a concert in Denmark (Boxen, Herning) ?I like this score!!!

Henry is very good in my opinion. I always liked his scores even when others didn't.

And I'm really excited for Jumanji: The Next Level!!!Neither Romer or Balfe are scoring Bond 25
I want to say that test screening version of Ghost in the Shell deleted one geisha character who was under orders of Cutter to follow the Major and in the original third act, she fought Aramaki when he stormed into Cutter's Holo room after killing his guards. Aramaki survives and the scene continues as shown. Because of the poor reception of what I call "The Philosophical Cut", the geisha character was removed and there were quick reshoots of all of the conversations between Cutter and Aramaki minus the geisha character involvement.The report about Romer leaving wasn't even confirmed, so I think it's just people wanting the expected to happen at this point.lol no he’s notLast week, the IMDb page said Joseph Trapanese is scoring it and next week some other composer will probably be listed there. Amazing that some people still think of IMDb as a reliable source for this kind of info.More Cannons!, 2:14 - Jack Sparrow theme from PotC?

lengths for cues on disc 3 have been changed ????

Poe2012-06-23 06:19:24
Surely this has to be a mistake. Hybrid??

TK2012-06-23 17:43:52
Joker suite should be 9:27 (full fade out ending, as opposed to the album cut that runs into I'm Not A hero) Harvey dent suite should remain 6:16, same as album, and new batman theme should be 'dark knight suite', 16:15. 103BPM action ice theme is the new batman theme and should remain at 5:02 exactly like the album.

thats how it is on my version of this.

dewdd2012-06-26 04:47:15
why do they change the names?

I'm really excited to hear what his new ideas are. I think it's great that he's taken so much time to do this score, it will most likely be epic!

Mr. Charles2012-02-25 06:49:46
Maybe this is why On Stranger Tides & A Game of Shadows sucked. If he's really putting everything he's got into TDKR, I will put Pirates & Sherlock in the past. I'm hoping he pulls out all the stops this time

MGDrone2012-02-25 23:30:09
Well, in all fairness, On Stranger Tides and A Game of Shadows didn't suck, they just weren't as good as their predecessors. They both had their highs and lows. But anyway, yeah, if he's been working for a year on this already, it better be good. I hope we'll get a long album like TDK

I'm no Dark Knight fan, but when I compare your track list, Samir Aziz, to the track list that this page is dedicated to, I see no difference.

The only difference I could guess there might be is that, like you said, some of the suites are missing from the list you posted. Tell me: what makes your version different/better?

I guess this is as much a fan edit as Broken Arrow, huh? After all, all Hybrid did was add some OST tracks to the bootleg! :P

Jones2011-06-24 20:34:55
Far from it. This is the REAL thing. No DVD rip could even come close to the quality this has to offer.

Dakota2011-06-24 21:18:27
Jones is right, this is the real deal. I know ppl who know this is real

Ramon2011-08-14 18:12:58
Are you guys dealing drugs or something? lol

Anonymous2011-08-14 19:56:13
Well yeah its real but adding OST tracks makes it another fan edit -- like those Broken Arrow sessions hybrid pored scorn on.

Takehiro2011-08-14 21:27:37
Go away, Anonymous. These are real cues, the third disc is simply unreleased/alternate material from the OST to make it more complete.

Agnt007dman2011-08-14 22:48:18
Well The Joker Suite, Harvey Dent Suite & Dark Knight Suite are all on the OST, but it's nice that they included it on the complete score as well. The Dark Knight Suite is fantastic. It's nicely edited and fades into all the themes quite nicely

... I don`t think that HZ`s theme suites fail in presenting the best (or probably the most consistent) things from the movie (but even 60 minutes of great suites can`t compensate for the complete 2-3 hours long score - especially in theme progression, overall mood, etc. ). :-)

Sorry for the misinformation about Batman & fees. :)

jack2011-05-23 10:19:11
I personally hate Hans Zimmer cd's with suites like At world's end, why they just cant make up 80 mins from the recording sessions because who cares about a listening experience, I mean do people actually sit there and listen to a whole cd. Hah when I get a score I just look for my favorite bits.

T-Mann036 reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-21 00:00:00
Apologies accepted, Prott.

Agent Smith reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-19 00:00:00
may i know, why the composers don't release all the music that was in the music? but always just a short part of it? and than making it like it's something political and secret?

why can't we enjoy the music from the beginning, completed, like we heard it in the movie?
i hate all those games, there are those recording sessions. someone has it, feels like he is the greatest (hybrid) and others don't have it.

why do act like that? music is not politics. music is beautiful that everyone should have the chance to enjoy it. i'm not speaking to download it, but make it available for purchasing it. even as an mp3 version.

i hate all those games with the "secret" music.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-19 00:00:00
... And HZ regularly fail in presenting the best things on a soundtrack... :S

And the fees rule doesn't apply in the Batmans case... They are part british films... ;)

Prott reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-19 00:00:00
Agent Smith: Because of recording fees (you have to pay more if you exceed certain length of the score). .-)
Company which releases the OST simply calculate which score can earn enough to justify the expanded (longer) release.

Composers themselves usually make suites to present movie`s longer score in it`s shorter form as good as possible (or to present their original theme suites - without need to hit different cuts/events/etc.) :)

I have posted links here before, but that was before I read the "rules". As in rules, I mean what is stated right above the comment box: "This zone is only to post comment, not to ask for CD downloading, copying or trading! Each comment can be possibly edited or deleted to ensure it is suitable for public presentation". When I first discovered this board, I was careless and negligent to read that, and I would just post whatever I wanted. But now I know what I can and can't post, and Damien I did not/have not posted any link(s) since I was told not to ever since I came to the HZ board close to a year ago. I assume someone posted a link, because you said "as someone begins to post link I will have no other choice but to close this topic", or something along those lines. I swear on my life I did not post any links. Like I said, I own up to any wrong-doing I have done in the past, which I do. But that was not me. I ALWAYS leave my name, I'm not someone who hides behind not posting my name. I do not want to cause/start any trouble, nor be blamed for something that I did not do. I would hate for this topic to be cloased like Clash of the Titans was. That was a disappointment. I love having a place to come and talk about this wonderful music with others, so I would not do anything to cause this topic to be closed. I just want to be on the same page as you, that's all.

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-14 00:00:00
I'm having trouble understanding some of your comment by the way it's typed. I think you and I live in seperate countries perhaps? Hybrid wasn't happy that I left my Email address for someone to Email me about a totally different topic. (see? I'm going off topic right now) People do that all the time, and I get blamed. I apologized and said I would not do it again, and have not since. I always apologize and own up to any wrong doing I have done. But aside from the post about Google, what else do you think was posted by me? I always leave my name, I have never been one to not do that. I do not hide who I am. "I did remove two of your posts in two days (and I know they were posted by you and only you)" I swear I only posted about Google. I'm not playing the innocent guy who did nothing wrong, it's just that you guys can be harsh. It's always "I begin to fed up with you" - and I understand if I did something wrong. You also said "The second one about google was perhaps not as bad as the first one, but I did not check the search result and as I thought it was too closely related to first post, I did not let it." Please tell me what this "first post" is that you're talking about. I'm not looking for any trouble, Damien. I just want to understand, that's all. And, I apologize.

Was it *possibly* the one where I said how when I went to Google "The Dark Knight Rises" and the first thing that came up was "the dark knight complete score no sfx" I have no idea why that post needed to be removed, I was just commenting about how this has completely blown up. And what post from today? I didn't post anything today, I have been at work all day. Unless there is some other Darkota out there, then it was not me. I feel like you're attacking me, I did nothing wrong. I already got a hold of it days ago, anyway - I'm not looking for anything. I am not asking for anything, looking to download anything, or even asking for Hybrid Soldier to add all these scores that will "give people heart attacks". It is I who begins to bed fed up with YOU. There are people who come here and post some things that shock me, and the posts stay up. Yet I post 1 thing yesterday and you remove it? I don't understand..........

My wish has been FINALLY fulfilled. The complete film score of The Dark Knight is ultimately one of the BEST film scores that Hans & James (including Lorne "Modern Warfare 2" Balfe and Henry "Kick-Ass" Jackman) have ever composed.

If you're not into any of the Batman pictures, you're missing out on everything. This is a definite MUST!!!!

Overall: 100.5 out of 100!!!!!
