Heitor Pereira, Satnam Ramgotra and Richard Harvey are credited musiciansSounds like a Zimmer version of the Top Gun Anthem to me. Whoever did it, it works!me who seldom watch any of these superhero movies and remakes went and saw the new aladdin last weekend.<br><br>based on my own experience of that remake i have come to the conclusion that maybe some of the reviewers are stuck-up and not open-minded? i did enjoy the new takes on some of the songs. the new movie felt like that. a new different movie to me. <br><br>i decided that i will go and watch these movies for myself now. and i would not watch (or listen to original scores) in advance to build up expectation. i will go and enjoy my time and the songs.<br><br>that's all &#175;\_(&#12484;)_/&#175; you can't please everyone.To be honest. It would be nice to have composers credits
@DT<br>Disney definitely tries to put quality into their projects, which is why I admire them. As youve said, WDAS and Pixar are both churning out some excellent and original films. Even Marvel, despite its formula and flaws, tries new things with the films and stick closely to the source material. <br><br>The problem with the remakes is that they seem to be nothing more than cash-grabs that prey on nostalgia. If you are going to retell a beloved story at least try something different and exciting, instead of trying to copy/paste what everyone has seen.This is where I wish we could edit our comments.<br><br>Not only do you have WDAS doing mostly-new movies (I hesitate to say 'original') but you have Pixar doing them as well. Toy Story 4 was their last sequel for the foreseeable future, with them even eschewing the popular option of doing an Inside Out sequel for original projects.I feel like people are overreacting in a way that suggests these remakes have far more power than they actually do. The studio that makes them is separate from every other studio. WDAS is still creating new content and will be for many, many years to come, long after the remakes have had their heyday.<br><br>If anything, the proliferation of superhero films is far more likely to drown out originality on that front: there are multiple studios doing it.Order I went with for the album<br><br>Everything I Need (Film Version)<br>Arthur <br>Home Invasion (Bonus Track)<br>It Wasn't Meant To Be<br>Permission To Come Aboard<br>Ask the&#8239;Sea (Bonus Track)<br>Atlantean Soldiers<br>Ahab Waves (Bonus Track)<br>Saving Pops (Bonus Track)	Soundtrack	0	1<br>Swimming Lessons	<br>Kingdom of Atlantis<br>The Legend of Atlan	<br>The Ring of Fire	<br>What Does That Even Mean?Soundtrack	0	<br>Obligation (Bonus Track)	<br>Dunes (Bonus Track)	<br>Map In a Bottle<br>Mera&#8239;Montage	<br>The Black Manta	<br>Trench Engaged (From Kingdom of the Trench)	Soundtrack	0	<br>Reunited <br>What Could Be Greater Than a King?<br>Suited and Booted <br>Between Land and Sea <br>He Commands the Sea	<br>Ocean To Ocean (feat. @Edmund<br>I cant agree enough. These remakes suffer from the issue of being inferior to the original source material, mainly because they rely so heavily on copying the originals so heavily. Im not necessarily against Disney updating their classics if they are willing to do new takes on the material. Take Jungle Book for example; they were able to do something fresh with the concept while keeping elements of the animated film. Even Maleficent, which Im not crazy about, tried something new. <br><br>Another BIG issue Ive noticed is the fact that they lean towards hiring actors who cannot sing, or at least cannot sing on the level required. Emma Watson, Will Smith, Chiwetel Ejiofor, etc.Best shot <br>It wasnt meant to be<br>Home invasion<br>Ahab waves (0:39-end)<br>Permission to come aboard?<br>Ask the sea<br>Ahab waves (0:00-0:38)<br>Saving pops<br>Swimming lessons<br>Kingdom of atlantis<br>Legend of atlan<br>Ring of fire<br>What does that even mean?<br>Ocean to ocean<br>Obligation<br>Dunes<br>Map in a bottle<br>Black manta<br>Mera montage<br>Between land and sea<br>Trench engaged<br>What could be greater than a king?<br>Suited and booted<br>He commands the sea<br>Reunited<br>Everything i need<br><br>"Arthur" and "Atlantean Soldiers" are probably suitesJust want shrike death cue!I feel as though Menken did a bit more to differentiate his 2017 Beauty and the Beast from the 1991 one. The major pieces like "Prologue" and "Transformation" were left relatively intact but otherwise the rewrite was a bit more substantial than what Zimmer and crew did here. Compare the final battle music from the original (which consists to a large degree of upbeat instrumental versions of "Be Our Guest") to the remake (which is largely serious, straightforward orchestral action music). I haven't heard his new Aladdin so I'm not sure what the old:new ratio was there.<br><br>I'm not necessarily complaining, this is basically what I expected the score would be from the moment it was announced. The problem lies deeper, with the entire premise of these pointless remakes that allow very little wiggle room for freshness or creativity. Of course, I have no doubt this movie will make north of a billion dollars and give the Disney execs further license to print money. Maybe by the time they've remade every single film in their vault enough time will have passed that they can just start from the beginning again and nobody need ever be subject to the indignity of an original story ever again.It's a variation of the theme Anthem from the first Top Gun film by Harold Faltermeyer.

I'm glad I got this complete score, but certain tracks are too loud and some are too quiet. I have to edit the volume on iTunes. But other than that, I'm glad I got this finally. Those fan edits can now be thrown away.

Iceboy reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-10 00:00:00
I think you will find thats good dynamic range! Most modern OST CDs are compressed to keep everything at a similar volume. This 2CD edition makes you appreciate every nuance of the music when played at a good volume. And iTunes will not fix it - it will make it too loud and clip it, which is also very very bad.

I hope we see a batman begins leak in the near future

Look how you are... Just got TDK, already begging for Begins...

You just can't be happy, can you ? :P

Hey we need the pair to make it a good set! :P

I already know two people who have it, so you should just post the info for us :) I'll make you the coverart in return.

Oh yeah what a good idea, I send you the complete score and in return you offer me your homemade coverart... That's such an honest trade... hahahaha

Takehiro reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-10 00:00:00
No I said post the info, i.e. the tracklisting :)

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-09 00:00:00
So it's out ! Well I guess after nearly 8 months undercovered, it was supposed to leak one way or another...

Is the world better ? The food tastes better ? The future brighter ??

Haha

You know, this bootleg just adds 30 min of unreleased music (and some very repetitive Joker variations)... It's not SUCH a big deal, considering we had a 2 CD set already (even though poorly edited :P)...

And Iceboy, you clearly look like you're trying to imitate my edit of Why So Serious ? Pay attention : at the end of Why So Serious?, faded with I'm Not A Hero on OST, I added between 0:28 & 0:44 of Bank Robbery to fit ! And then cut it violently to add some more "anarchy" to the cue ! xD I had not really other options left... :P

And I changed the tracklist here slightly...

"Is the world better ? The food tastes better ? The future brighter ??"

For some of us - yes. Yes it is, yes it does. Is that so bad?

Score music is part of my very essence. So to hear more of it, just makes my life that little better.

Iceboy reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-09 00:00:00
30 mins or not, I dont care!!! :D

Now all we need is Hybrid to list Batman Begins 2CD and others. They must exist!
Why wont you add secret stuff for us? Why not give fans information on whats out there? Why is that bad?

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-09 00:00:00
BATMAN BEGINS!!!

please and thanks ;)

but i think there will be high demand (amongst us) for a batman begins complete score if dark knight rises gets a complete score release.

Cloud reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-09 00:00:00
So uhh, could anyone remind me why this is so amazing? I mean, the official 2-CD edition already had all the major stuff on it so what great unreleased cues are still to be discovered on this bootleg?

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-09 00:00:00
Iceboy, I just can't, cause it turns people on, they'll start to ask questions etc...

And I'm mainly thinking about people who don't want to be bothered with those question...

So keep cool, and enjoy what you have so far !! :P

Prott reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-09 00:00:00
In the end everything has it`s complete release stored somewhere in RCP... I think there`s no point in adding it to H-Z.com discography when there`s nobody outside "the trusted circle" who has it. :-)

If people ask questions, so what? People just like to know. I think if you have stuff, you should post it, even if its just every now and then.

And you know, once something is leaked, more people have it than you think. And it always gets out so you might as well just post the tracklist here and be done.

Hybrid, how come your Joker Suite is 15secs or so longer than Why So Serious? And why include The Dark Knight suite from the OST when it contains music already on the bootleg?

Soooooo :

1m4 Dirty Cash is in OST's "Always A Catch" (from 0:46 to the end), should have been used when the camera's entering the robbed bank near the beginning, with Gordon inside checking the $$$ and Batman joins him.

2m13 Halfway To Hong Kong is in OST's "Halfway To Hong Kong" (from 2:26 to the end), should have been when Gordon, the Bat & Dent are discussing on the roof about what to do with Lau.

But both scenes have no music (so the bootleg hasn't them either). I've watched both scenes with music and it worked very well... I guess they just decided to go without it. :)

On the sheet music, Action Ice Theme & New Batman Theme are very similar, starting the exact same way... But as I know nothing about reading music, I can't confirm totally haha ! But Like A Dog Chasing Cars definitely is a Theme Suite for Batman... :)

And for Who Appointed The Batman, well on the sheet music there's something written by JNH for the alt, like it just has an instrument added or removed... Nothing special missing... That cue just sounds like it's from Blood Diamond... :)

Takehiro reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-08 00:00:00
I second the request for the source of Dirty Cash and Who Appointed Batman Alternate. Are they on the soundtrack?

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-08 00:00:00
I just edited the end of Why So Serious with another cue to make it "cut" properly, as on the OST it's faded with "Find The Batman" (I'm Not A Hero's beginning)...

And TDK suite is truly a SUITE, not a MONTAGE, it has many things not in the film score (rearranged stuff) ! :)

Yes, this is the version I have. I cut some of the silence from the start and ends of some cues as some of them had long pauses, so my running time is ever so slightly shorter.

Iceboy reply Replies: 0 || 2011-04-08 00:00:00
Did you take it from the start or end of the cue?
