Heitor Pereira, Satnam Ramgotra and Richard Harvey are credited musiciansSounds like a Zimmer version of the Top Gun Anthem to me. Whoever did it, it works!me who seldom watch any of these superhero movies and remakes went and saw the new aladdin last weekend.<br><br>based on my own experience of that remake i have come to the conclusion that maybe some of the reviewers are stuck-up and not open-minded? i did enjoy the new takes on some of the songs. the new movie felt like that. a new different movie to me. <br><br>i decided that i will go and watch these movies for myself now. and i would not watch (or listen to original scores) in advance to build up expectation. i will go and enjoy my time and the songs.<br><br>that's all &#175;\_(&#12484;)_/&#175; you can't please everyone.To be honest. @DT<br>Disney definitely tries to put quality into their projects, which is why I admire them. As youve said, WDAS and Pixar are both churning out some excellent and original films. Even Marvel, despite its formula and flaws, tries new things with the films and stick closely to the source material. <br><br>The problem with the remakes is that they seem to be nothing more than cash-grabs that prey on nostalgia. If you are going to retell a beloved story at least try something different and exciting, instead of trying to copy/paste what everyone has seen.This is where I wish we could edit our comments.<br><br>Not only do you have WDAS doing mostly-new movies (I hesitate to say 'original') but you have Pixar doing them as well. Toy Story 4 was their last sequel for the foreseeable future, with them even eschewing the popular option of doing an Inside Out sequel for original projects.I feel like people are overreacting in a way that suggests these remakes have far more power than they actually do. The studio that makes them is separate from every other studio. WDAS is still creating new content and will be for many, many years to come, long after the remakes have had their heyday.<br><br>If anything, the proliferation of superhero films is far more likely to drown out originality on that front: there are multiple studios doing it.Order I went with for the album<br><br>Everything I Need (Film Version)<br>Arthur <br>Home Invasion (Bonus Track)<br>It Wasn't Meant To Be<br>Permission To Come Aboard<br>Ask the&#8239;Sea (Bonus Track)<br>Atlantean Soldiers<br>Ahab Waves (Bonus Track)<br>Saving Pops (Bonus Track)	Soundtrack	0	1<br>Swimming Lessons	<br>Kingdom of Atlantis<br>The Legend of Atlan	<br>The Ring of Fire	<br>What Does That Even Mean?Soundtrack	0	<br>Obligation (Bonus Track)	<br>Dunes (Bonus Track)	<br>Map In a Bottle<br>Mera&#8239;Montage	<br>The Black Manta	<br>Trench Engaged (From Kingdom of the Trench)	Soundtrack	0	<br>Reunited <br>What Could Be Greater Than a King?<br>Suited and Booted <br>Between Land and Sea <br>He Commands the Sea	<br>Ocean To Ocean (feat. @Edmund<br>I cant agree enough. These remakes suffer from the issue of being inferior to the original source material, mainly because they rely so heavily on copying the originals so heavily. Im not necessarily against Disney updating their classics if they are willing to do new takes on the material. Take Jungle Book for example; they were able to do something fresh with the concept while keeping elements of the animated film. Even Maleficent, which Im not crazy about, tried something new. <br><br>Another BIG issue Ive noticed is the fact that they lean towards hiring actors who cannot sing, or at least cannot sing on the level required. Emma Watson, Will Smith, Chiwetel Ejiofor, etc.Best shot <br>It wasnt meant to be<br>Home invasion<br>Ahab waves (0:39-end)<br>Permission to come aboard?<br>Ask the sea<br>Ahab waves (0:00-0:38)<br>Saving pops<br>Swimming lessons<br>Kingdom of atlantis<br>Legend of atlan<br>Ring of fire<br>What does that even mean?<br>Ocean to ocean<br>Obligation<br>Dunes<br>Map in a bottle<br>Black manta<br>Mera montage<br>Between land and sea<br>Trench engaged<br>What could be greater than a king?<br>Suited and booted<br>He commands the sea<br>Reunited<br>Everything i need<br><br>"Arthur" and "Atlantean Soldiers" are probably suitesJust want shrike death cue!I feel as though Menken did a bit more to differentiate his 2017 Beauty and the Beast from the 1991 one. The major pieces like "Prologue" and "Transformation" were left relatively intact but otherwise the rewrite was a bit more substantial than what Zimmer and crew did here. Compare the final battle music from the original (which consists to a large degree of upbeat instrumental versions of "Be Our Guest") to the remake (which is largely serious, straightforward orchestral action music). I haven't heard his new Aladdin so I'm not sure what the old:new ratio was there.<br><br>I'm not necessarily complaining, this is basically what I expected the score would be from the moment it was announced. The problem lies deeper, with the entire premise of these pointless remakes that allow very little wiggle room for freshness or creativity. Of course, I have no doubt this movie will make north of a billion dollars and give the Disney execs further license to print money. Maybe by the time they've remade every single film in their vault enough time will have passed that they can just start from the beginning again and nobody need ever be subject to the indignity of an original story ever again.It's a variation of the theme Anthem from the first Top Gun film by Harold Faltermeyer.

The 46 track version that Dakota mentioned was fan made and not the one posted above

John reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-20 00:00:00
Then where is the link for the one posted here?

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-20 00:00:00
Sorry, guys. Let me make myself clear. MY version, which everyone has been bugging me for since I posted the tracklist over at the standard release, is the one I have uploaded. 46 tracks. Yes, it is in order all the way through which is a treat. Yes, the editing is moderate. Some tracks are excellent, others you can tell were edited. Nobody has found this 3-Disc version yet. If you guys noticed the posts between Hybrid and myself over at Gladiator, he said that he adds almost everything, nothing of which is fake. Hence, this 3-Disc is REAL. I can assure once I find it, I will let everyone know.

Brad, did you find it ok? I know we aren't allowed to list sites or anything like that, and I like to abide by the rules. How did you like the album artwork arrangement?

Brad reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-20 00:00:00
@Dakota: Yeah I found it fine, just had to do some digging, but it's there in the open if any of you are really looking for it. I loved the artwork too, especially the cover with the Joker as the focal point. I am actually in the middle of an artwork project with that exact same background. But dang, I wish I could find this 3-CD version, I am yearning for the complete soundtrack to one of the best movies ever made! C'mon Hybrid, I know you can make that happen ; )
/sarcasm

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-20 00:00:00
Alright cool, glad you liked it. My OCD gets the best of me though when it comes to that, because if you notice on Joker's cover it says "Complete Motion Picture Score (w/ sfx)" and then on the Batpod cover it sayd "Expanded Motion Picture Score". Bugs the crap out of me lol. #########

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-20 00:00:00
No one knows. I mean we got a tracklisting for an Iron Man complete score with no sfx and leaked, but so far there has been nothing for this one. Even Sherlock Holmes has a complete score listing on the forums, but nothing still.

Joe reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-20 00:00:00
Am I not searching well enough? I can't find all I keep seeing is the bootlegs.

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-20 00:00:00
Well, brad didn't have a mega hard time finding it :)

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-19 00:00:00
@Yondaime,

Some of us just have a great love for his music, and a lot of people love The Dark Knight score, myself included. And it looks like there are a few pieces on here no one has....at least not right now. The 2-Disc Special Edition is missing a ton of music. Keep in mind, it's a 2 & 1/2 hour movie. This one is listed as 170 minutes. That's 2 hours & 50 minutes - 20 additional minutes of music.

John reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-19 00:00:00
The 2-Disc Special Edition is NO where as close to a complete score. This IS the complete score. I think the score was awesome and grand scale, I would like to listen to the complete score.

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-19 00:00:00
The 46-track version people keep hounding me for has just been uploaded. Now stop asking me, and enjoy it once you find it!

Brad reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-19 00:00:00
First of all, thanks Dakota for finally uploading this. It is a great listen and it's nice to listen to the complete in film order. However, can either yourself, Dakota, or Hybrid answer this: is this a true complete soundtrack or just a clever fan-edit? I can't tell in some spots. Some tracks are really well mixed and have a good flow and then others are poorly mixed. I can't seem to tell if this is legit or not. Also, the score I downloaded has a completely different tracklist than what is posted. Is there another 46-track complete score floating around or is this the wrong list? Thanks.

Anon reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-18 00:00:00
@ Hybrid
I just want to clarify...is the complete score leaked somewhere? No use for exact locations to be posted here, but I'm just curious if it's even out there somewhere?

Levente reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-18 00:00:00
@Anon
There are rumors on the web (blogs, forums) that few people have it, but afraid to release it. Another thing is, as I see some people calls this album a fake. Probably causes some misinformation, but I think it is only about courage to give it out.
As I remember, Hybrid said that the Iron Man complete score was out there almost a year earlier than it showed up here on this webpage.

Bador reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-18 00:00:00
it has to be out there. where has hybrid his version? I mean he have put here three 30sec samples. so he HAS it. I'm just not understanding why RC doesn't release it with their expanded one. Why another uncompleted score? why do all release only a bit of the score? why don't the release their recordings as a complete at first?

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-18 00:00:00
Bador, because it's not as simple as that... If the score is american, you have to pay reuse fees each 15 min of music... Legal issues are different in many countries, so it can easily become one big mess !

And second, it costs money... So basically, for a score to be released in complete form, you would need :

Music rights owner (Studio, composer...) who WANTS it to be released.
Label who CAN afford to release it.

And when you know HZ's point of view about complete releases... :S

As for this bootleg, it hasn't leaked YET (meaning : MASS leaking), or you wouldn't be here... But I have no doubt it will... Sooner or later... Eventually, it always does...

yondaime reply Replies: 0 || 2011-01-18 00:00:00
I really dont understand why people crave it so much, the majority of the music is released, all the highlights, lowlights, everything is out, i will of course get it when i find it but im not craving about it that much because my batmania was fulfilled with the 2 disc edition.

I found mine over the summer on some blog, I can't remember where. And I'm not in the Music Industry like Hybrid Soldier is. I think he is, I don't know. He has his connections...

i do think that this complete score is the real deal, i remember a while ago there was a "for your consideration oscar promo" cd floating around on ebay and some of the cue names matched up with the ones on this cd...like i remember "eye for an eye" for instance was on there along with a couple others

I have it and it's not the complete score. Mostly poor editing of previously released songs. Forget about it !
