Why would a studio allow a vinyl release but no CD or digital release? That's utter nonsense. Almost like they're refusing to make money.Any clue on where to find this Complete Score?.. and people wonder why there's "bootlegs" out there...Next time, we can expect a wax cylinder release... :(@Jerry<br><br>At the Film Score Monthly message board, MV said that La La Land has been trying to release this one for years but got shot down by the studio. So sadly, a CD release won't happen for now
No.Any chance of a CD or Digital release?Yes, is coming this Friday, confirmed by TomI really like this score performed by tom holkenborg of the netflix series "White Lines" and my favorite track is "Infinity" which it was awsome and great dance music i ever heard.<br><br>Btw are any news from the Scoob! Original score by tom holkenborg coming out this friday, right?Time to buy a record player guys!<br><br>Honestly couldn't be more happy about this.
yes yes yes!!! the best MI Score :) can't wait!If I saw that cover art without the title text, the MI franchise would have been about the last thing that'd cross my mind. >_<Thanks to the way certain cues have to correspond to their album titles instead, it's hard to tell currently if this actually has everything from the film. Doesn't help that certain album suites are most certainly not here, and there's likely alt mixes that could've been included. We'll just have to see.<br><br>I get the feeling the reason this is LP only for now is due to Disney (who own Hollywood Records) being allowed to fully oversee this specific release. Any digital and CD re-releases are probably in legal lingo with Paramount, hence why the OST isn't available for streaming currently. Why only expanded?<br><br>The product page says:<br>"Mondo Music, in conjunction with Hollywood Records, are proud to present the premiere vinyl pressing of Hans Zimmer’s complete score to MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2."<br><br>So, it's the complete score... isn't it?So useless really, yeah... :(
Cool release but... Vinyl only ! :/I don't think originally Hans planned it that way. <br><br>Wonder Woman 1984 was supposed to come out November 2019. That didn't happen. No Time to Die wasn't on the radar originally and was originally supposed to come November 2019 as well. He was probably on track to finish Top Gun: Maverick early this year if it wasn't for No Time to Die. <br><br>If you take out WW84 and No Time to Die, he would only have 4 major projects this year (Spongebob, Dune, Hillbilly, and Top Gun).Hybrid why is Hans taking on so many projects this year? Any insights into that? Why remove them?Because there was no time for him to do WW 1.<br><br>He was on tour for months... Had 2 tours in early 2016/17 + Dunkirk to handle. Wouldn't have worked at all.

Hybrid, usally Zimmer write everhing on his CD, who composes what, and usually he's going to write less. For example, I remember the Additional Composers in POTC3 and there were a lots of names, then, on Sherlock Holmes, The Dark Knight, there were 2, or max 3 names. In Inception there is just Balfe.

The dilemma is that lots of people don't trust Zimmer because they don't know who compose what in the whole CD. The final solution was to compare for example, RCP composer's CD, with Zimmer's CD and listen the difference, that is enormus!!!

When Zimmer is THE composer, you can hear a very specific music, for example, when he worked on POTC1 he had a very few time to work and he (with a lots of other composers that I don't like) did bad sound, and just beautiful themes. On POTC2 he worked more time and he got a better work, then, on POTC3 he worked completly on that project and did a FANTASTIC work of sound, new themes, and orchestration.

When you hear a Jablonsky CD for example, you listen that he can't absolutely use the orchestra like Zimmer and so on for a lots of other "composer" (better, musicans) of the RCM.

I TRUST ZIMMER BECAUSE HIS QUALITY CAN BE HEARD ON EVERY CD THAT HE DOES, WHEN HE DOES THE CD WITH PASSION OF COURSE.

But, I really like to know what is the role of these additional composers, that seems to remain a ghost secret outside the RCP, because also your words don't give me a real explanation.

On the Inception premiere, Zimmer told: "There is no disguise on my work, I'm not John Williams that can write beautiful themes with fantastic orchestration, I'm just Hans Zimmer".

I think that he wanted to say right what he said!!! THERE'S NO DISGUISE!

OKay so Hans writes the theme suites. But I'm sure he writes a lot of cues himself as well? Not just write the themes and supervise for the rest?

@Enrico There was an interview with Rupert Gregson-Williams, long time ago. He said additional music is composed without Hans' direct intervensions. His suites (which includes themes (of course) and orchestration) are a kind of a musical dictionary which "words" the additional composer uses. So when a scene is given to let's say Lorne Balfe to score it, I think he's responsible then. That's my guess at least ;)

Hybrid, what is the WEIGHT of these additional composers?!
Zimmer told that the additional composers just make very little things on the album, not so much. Must we trust him?
