Sounds like a Zimmer version of the Top Gun Anthem to me. Whoever did it, it works!me who seldom watch any of these superhero movies and remakes went and saw the new aladdin last weekend.

based on my own experience of that remake i have come to the conclusion that maybe some of the reviewers are stuck-up and not open-minded? i did enjoy the new takes on some of the songs. the new movie felt like that. a new different movie to me.

i decided that i will go and watch these movies for myself now. and i would not watch (or listen to original scores) in advance to build up expectation. i will go and enjoy my time and the songs.

that's all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ you can't please everyone. To be honest. I love the bonus score tracks, nut those remixes are a wazte of disc soace in my opinion. I would've rather have 20 extra minutes of score.

Let the Complete Score come! For everyone that's heard it, is the Deluxe Edition worth a double dip?@Hybrid is this the combination of FYC promotional score + official release by LLL?
Use your hybrid skills to unravel the mysteries of the score.Cuesheet is blank.oh yes please, including Balfe - dont start yelling, Im just really curious who did whatFinally! It would be nice to have composers credits@DT
Disney definitely tries to put quality into their projects, which is why I admire them. As youve said, WDAS and Pixar are both churning out some excellent and original films. Even Marvel, despite its formula and flaws, tries new things with the films and stick closely to the source material.

The problem with the remakes is that they seem to be nothing more than cash-grabs that prey on nostalgia. If you are going to retell a beloved story at least try something different and exciting, instead of trying to copy/paste what everyone has seen.
This is where I wish we could edit our comments.

Not only do you have WDAS doing mostly-new movies (I hesitate to say 'original') but you have Pixar doing them as well. Toy Story 4 was their last sequel for the foreseeable future, with them even eschewing the popular option of doing an Inside Out sequel for original projects.I feel like people are overreacting in a way that suggests these remakes have far more power than they actually do. The studio that makes them is separate from every other studio. WDAS is still creating new content and will be for many, many years to come, long after the remakes have had their heyday.

If anything, the proliferation of superhero films is far more likely to drown out originality on that front: there are multiple studios doing it.Order I went with for the album

Everything I Need (Film Version)
Arthur
Home Invasion (Bonus Track)
It Wasn't Meant To Be
Permission To Come Aboard
Ask the Sea (Bonus Track)
Atlantean Soldiers
Ahab Waves (Bonus Track)
Saving Pops (Bonus Track)	Soundtrack	0	1
Swimming Lessons
Kingdom of Atlantis
The Legend of Atlan
The Ring of Fire
What Does That Even Mean?Soundtrack	0
Obligation (Bonus Track)
Dunes (Bonus Track)
Map In a Bottle
Mera Montage
The Black Manta
Trench Engaged (From Kingdom of the Trench)	Soundtrack	0
Reunited
What Could Be Greater Than a King?
Suited and Booted
Between Land and Sea
He Commands the Sea
Ocean To Ocean (feat. The cue I want the most is We Strike First.@Edmund
I cant agree enough. These remakes suffer from the issue of being inferior to the original source material, mainly because they rely so heavily on copying the originals so heavily. Im not necessarily against Disney updating their classics if they are willing to do new takes on the material. Take Jungle Book for example; they were able to do something fresh with the concept while keeping elements of the animated film. Even Maleficent, which Im not crazy about, tried something new.

Another BIG issue Ive noticed is the fact that they lean towards hiring actors who cannot sing, or at least cannot sing on the level required. Emma Watson, Will Smith, Chiwetel Ejiofor, etc.
Best shot
It wasnt meant to be
Home invasion
Ahab waves (0:39-end)
Permission to come aboard?
Ask the sea
Ahab waves (0:00-0:38)
Saving pops
Swimming lessons
Kingdom of atlantis
Legend of atlan
Ring of fire
What does that even mean?
Ocean to ocean
Obligation
Dunes
Map in a bottle
Black manta
Mera montage
Between land and sea
Trench engaged
What could be greater than a king?
Suited and booted
He commands the sea
Reunited
Everything i need

"Arthur" and "Atlantean Soldiers" are probably suitesJust want shrike death cue!I feel as though Menken did a bit more to differentiate his 2017 Beauty and the Beast from the 1991 one. The major pieces like "Prologue" and "Transformation" were left relatively intact but otherwise the rewrite was a bit more substantial than what Zimmer and crew did here. Compare the final battle music from the original (which consists to a large degree of upbeat instrumental versions of "Be Our Guest") to the remake (which is largely serious, straightforward orchestral action music). I haven't heard his new Aladdin so I'm not sure what the old:new ratio was there.

I'm not necessarily complaining, this is basically what I expected the score would be from the moment it was announced. The problem lies deeper, with the entire premise of these pointless remakes that allow very little wiggle room for freshness or creativity. Of course, I have no doubt this movie will make north of a billion dollars and give the Disney execs further license to print money. Maybe by the time they've remade every single film in their vault enough time will have passed that they can just start from the beginning again and nobody need ever be subject to the indignity of an original story ever again. It's a variation of the theme Anthem from the first Top Gun film by Harold Faltermeyer.whats the name of the song being played in this trailer?
is it available online

If you want to upgrade the listening experience, I suggest you add "Real in Rio" in the first track place, "Pretty Bird" before "Chained Chase" and "Sapo Cai" after "Birdnapped".
Its the chronogichal order, like on the movie. I didn't care too much for the other songs from the song soundtrack.

Well, i think Powell has returned to its root, making a high quality animation score. I must admit that Mars Needs Moms score was such a disappointment to me, but a bit. Well, he returns anyway.

-Morning routine: Great theme, i mean a great original theme( not that recycled theme from ICEAGE3 that Powell used in MNM.)
-Locked up, Chained chase: a great fast-paced theme( not that recycled style from PAYCHECK that Powell used in MNM)
-Umbrellas rio: had a Brazillian-kind-of-theme, relaxing.
-Motorbike: great, loud, A full brazilian action theme.
-Bird fight: funny fight theme.
-Rio airport: a usual great Powell-ly final-battle theme. I like this kind of theme, so, this is my best track.
-Flying: joyfull track.

I think Powell is great when he deals with a local music instrument. Like in HTTYD, etc. Powell, you're still the masterpiece.

I think you can't compare these composers however Powell has proven to be one of the greatest animation composers in history of cinema.

Maybe, but honestly i see John Powell like the legendary Jerry Goldsmith. Giacchino is the successor of Williams.
Only is my opinion :__:
