@mephariel<br>Even better, Iím hoping for a hybrid type score. <br><br>And Tina Guo did post a vid of her recording the WW theme a while back, not sure if it was specifically for this project but if it was it sounds badass!I assume more concerts will be scheduled... looking forward to seeing BARCELONA in the list, please! :)It'd be awesome if Hans and co. went the Thor: Ragnarok route and created some kickass psychedelic synth ballads. I'm interested to hear how they interpret their WW theme for this setting. Is there a date for Lisbon, Portugal?<br>Thank youthis is never hans :D
I just finished the movie last week and the score was the best thing about the film. The scene using the cue "Simba is Alive!" is perfect. Not all synths. Mazzaro and Fleming posted pictures of them recording the score at Air Studios early in November so there will be some orchestral or instrumental music. As the trailer posts, soundtrack coming from WaterTower Music. No, it's just a slight rework of Blue Monday by New Order. Admittedly, it's quite catchy. Nothing from Hans tho, not even the WW-theme at the end which they did for the first movies trailers. Guess we have to wait till the movie comes out.The only thing that matters to me about the movie is Hans, so I wonder, has the trailer musicalized Hans?
Synth Hans Iím guessing ;-)Yeah, it's a nice little mini HTTYD score. It's a bit frustrating that he's seemingly never allowed to develop an idea for very long before moving on to the next thing and the next (probably because of the pacing of the short), but I like the way he plays around with Powell's themes. It makes me think that if they ever decide to make a fourth HTTYD movie and Powell decides he's said all he has to say in the series, Willis would be a good choice to continue it (Zanelli/Pirates style). He's also credited on one short cue from Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, but other than that, nothing that I know of...Just saw the movie. Seemed like the score is enjoyable enough, but I didn't hear much that would distinguish it from the first one really except some kind of standard villain material.Because those have nothing to do with Hans Zimmer or associated composers....
How come the Pixar franchise albums like "Toy Story," "Monsters, Inc.," "Finding Nemo" and "Cars" didn't make it in this website?Anthony Willis (additional composer on HTTYD 2 & 3) just wrote a nice score for HTTYD Homecoming, a "christmas special" short. The score is based on Powell's themes and style, which is a nice addition to the trilogy.<br><br>You can listen to excerpts here :<br>https://www.animationmagazine.net/tv/exclusive-music-clips-h ow-to-train-your-dragon-homecoming-holiday-special/Michael John Mollo - I've never seen that name before. Has he done any other RCP work?Does anyone know where this can be located or purchased? I would buy this complete score from a legal source if it were available."Might not have happened with Poltergeist, but it did with 300 ROAE !"<br><br>Yes, I can accept that, as I don't know much about that production, and I apologize for hijacking the "300" discussion, but:<br><br>"https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news / poltergeist-steven-spielberg-director-conspiracy-theory-conf irmed-tobe-hooper-a7846651. html"<br><br>I'll trust at least two actors, whom working with is literally a director's job description, over a very green AC on a production with numerous moving parts always working at once.

No word if Djawadi is scoring another Espinosa's film, "Child 44"?

Amusing comments.

The score was very restrained.

The end credits song was the highlight, but sounded like Sting.

Most of the djawadi scores (specially horror & thriller) are restrained.

Great, more mindless, boring droning from one of the worst of Zimmer's minions

Great, more mindless, boring droning from one of this site's worst posters

Thanks for the compliment, my friend :-)

If only I could become one of Zimmer's minions....
Guys please, help me! I want to become a new Trevor Rabin, a new Harry Gregson-Williams, a new Mark Mancina, a new Hans Zimmer, a new Klaus Badelt, a new Nick Glennie-Smith, a new Ramin Djawadi....

What exactly does some need in order to become an apprentice, a follower, a minion, a disciple, a protege, an acolyte,a gillie, an attendant of the afore-mentioned individuals??????????
I implore/beseech you to help me!!!! I am desperate....

"Areozz"
Great, more mindless, boring droning from one of the members of this "Almost Official Zimmer Site" who in the beggining defended the bootleg scores and now is one of the minions who betrayed that position to turn his site in "Almost Official".

Areozz2012-02-13 23:40:14
Oh wow, did you do a whole lot hunting around this website gathering every post I've ever made and then compiling them and putting them into some kind of machine that would give you a result like that?

Congratulations, sir, on commenting on a post I made two weeks ago. Damn, you either have a shit translator or you're trying to tell me something about myself but are making an absolutely atrocious job of it. I first defended bootleg scores? But now I'm a minion who betrayed the site? WHAT DOES IT MEAN??

You think I have control over this site's "Almost Official" status? Well, thank you very much! I would like to believe so, but you are sadly mistaken. At least I have a name, coward! You might as well be anyone, but by establishing a name to myself people can recognize me--oh! Like you must have in order to have gathered the nonsensical [wrong] assumption you've made about me.

Aggelos2012-02-14 13:52:58
If only I could become a mixture of Mark Mancina, Hans Zimmer, Leonidas Leonardi, Rene Leibowitz, Hermann Boessenroth, Ivan Boutnikoff and Fabien Sevitzky.....

Mr. Fate2012-02-14 17:34:14
Aggelos, I don't know that anyone here will be able to help you much. I seem to recall some kind of contact information being posted on one of information or main pages, though.

And to everyone else in this topic: haters gonna hate.

Aggelos2012-02-14 23:05:19
Mr. Fate, I don't wanna contact the folks... What I suggest is that we have to figure out a way to steal their winning attitude.
We need to become the masters of the synthesizers, to usher a new epoch in our personal lives.

Mr. Fate2012-02-17 16:59:09
How curious!! I had just come to that same realization--although maybe for slightly different reasons than the ones you are after.

Aggelos2012-02-19 19:54:27
Mr. Fate, we need to surpass them, we need to destroy them!!!! That's why we need to stay together... They have colossal power/authority. But if we stay together and become more and more as time goes by, we shall be able to "dethrone" them. Every one last of them........

Ooooooo....I didn't know Ramin Djawadi was doing this! I'm excited =)

Jen's Lůpez2012-01-31 18:40:52
I was waiting for Harry Gregson-Williams :(

Mr. Charles2012-02-11 06:43:38
Just saw it, both the film and the score are good. A few twists....

Al bundy2012-02-11 22:14:14
The score get me tired... sry.

Mr. Charles2012-02-14 01:23:37
So far I've only had a chance to listen to "I'll Take it from Here", but it's good
