This sounds wonderful:<br><br>"Super Extra Deluxe End Credits Suite."I really hooe it will come out at the beginning of november and not the end!Where can I purchase this soundtrack? In a year with so few released, inject this STRAIGHT into my veinsMore than Zimmer?
I honestly commend what Steve Jablonsky composed for the 2nd movie but I really have to say that Brian Tyler's theme was more heroic for me and I'm a big fan of orchestral music that's why I wanted to hear Tyler's Ninja turtles theme again.Maulís Call, Empire Recruitment, End Credits Suite, etc. <br><br>This release looks amazing! :Othis is awesome!!!!Pemberton is probably the most obvious choice right now. I would definitely love to see Pemberton score this oneYep, I received the news too.<br>Antwerp Sportpaleis is now scheduled on 23rd February 2022, a Wednesday !<br>
Tour postponed to 2022 :'(Asides, Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy, dosen't sound like the two Jumanji written by Jackman, by anymeans, and in prefer those two scores over his Uncharted material, altough i like both.If you want a Silvestrian-type of action... Edmonson's action writting in the three Uncharted are terrific, specially Among the Thieves and Drake's Deception.i think Uncharted 4 and 2 have the best score. U2 is amazing in all regards but I hope Henry does the movie cause he's better at writing action musicIf is Paramount, expect a digital release, but this people is certainly very difficult to guess...
A exclusive clip from the film where some of Zimmer's score can be heard<br><br>Loving the short synth part at the very startIt sounds a JP theme. But also sounds like HZ did arrangements of it. The beginning of "shifu's end" kind of sounds like one. The HZ/Jackman cues for the "splits" and "battle for the scroll" which use it are good, fun cues - but they're kind of awkward and stop/start compared to JP's smoother, more confident arrangements. And they notably don't use the whole theme only fragmented bits where as the JP/Smith cues "prison", "the bridge", "shifu's end" make use of the entire theme and sound more comfortable with the frenetic orchestra material. Just my opinion though.<br>Jungleland is getting released in cinemas and on streaming Nov. 6 and 10 respectively. I hope Lorne's score gets a release alongside it, as the film sounds like it has some good scoring potential.Well, the two scores by Jackman are good, neither as good as Edmonson's previous work in the franchise, if Naughty Dog have to choose a composer, Edmonson is my choice.<br><br>As for comparations with Tom's Tomb Raider, remember, this franchise is a more classical adventure than a survival action. If he's one of Jackman's best,I hope naughty dog &#8203;&#8203;will hire him again. I just hope that the film does not present a score as loose as Tom's tomb raider

Oops! Although it's only 30 seconds, I very much like "The Art of War". It sounds good!

Bar2012-04-10 21:53:34
"We have a battleship" is transformers style and this is what I'm hoping that the rest of the album will be sound like...

Everan2012-04-10 23:28:56
Just what I wanted to hear, liking these samples.

I am really looking forward to this soundtrack by Steve Jablonsky. I'm not sure if the film will be very good though.

Wow 77min very good! Great! Fantastic!

Ds2012-04-03 20:47:35
Absolutely great! can we expect a digital download next week?

Phil2012-04-03 22:37:05
I'm very excited how it will sound!

Mr. Charles2012-04-04 03:31:16
Guys, I wouldn't expect it to be 76 minutes long. Jablonsky's scores are always rather short. Remember when that tracklist for DotM surfaced a few weeks before it opened? It had a 9-minute track called "Ospreys", which never made it to the OST. For all we know, that was a fake track.

Also, just because it opens in Europe on April 11th doesn't mean jack! The way I see it, it's an American film. Here in the states it opens May 18th. So if anything, the score will be released some time in May, not April!

@Ds: This is the official tracklist from It's always correct.

Score release date: may 8th, okay, but that's for the physical album. In many cases, there was a digital release and 2 weeks later a physical release... But we'll see. I'm gonna check the movie with full open ears to catch every piece of music :)

Given the associations with Transformers made by the ad campaign, I'm expecting something that sounds similar to Jablonsky's work on those films. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though--if that sound can be refined and presented in a good way, then I'll probably like it.

Interview with the director Peter Berg:

"Can you talk about Steve Jablonskyís score and what it adds to the film?

Berg: Heís a genius. Steve Jablonsky is the shit! I think that guy is the best composer working today, hands down. Working with composers often is a really frustrating experience because you speak a different language and, oftentimes, they take two or three jobs, at the same time. Theyíre difficult and pretentious and theyíre tormented artists. Iím not going to name names, but most of them are. One guy who isnít is Hans Zimmer, who taught Steve Jablonsky. We had a couple of meetings and I came up with this idea. The day I met with him, I had had an MRI for my neck, and they make that really scary sound. I was like, ďI just had this MRI, and when I was in there, I was thinking about the aliens, and it was really scary.Ē And he was like, ďOh, thatís awesome!Ē He went and recorded MRIs and made music out of MRIs, and thatís the theme of the aliens in our film. He is no drama, and just goes and gets it done. The score is big and awesome and scary and driving. At times, itís very simple and acoustic and touching and emotional. Heís the best Iíve ever worked with."

Mr. Charles2012-04-06 04:52:36
Wow, so he derived the aliens' theme from MRIs? That very interesting, I'm definitely intrigued now!!!

Fan2012-04-06 13:41:14
MRI? what is that... sorry my english is not so good

Bar2012-04-06 15:21:00
Can't wait to hear that alboum!!!!

And wow an MRI sound what the hell???!

Mr. Fate2012-04-06 17:10:28
@Fan: Well, you could just Google it because that's what Google is used for. Or you could wait around indefinitely for someone to define it for you.

Typing MRI into the Google search box produces an abundance of results. MRI stands for magnetic resonance imaging (which I didn't even know until I just Googled it ten seconds ago). I guess you could say it gets used kind of like an X-ray.

Everan2012-04-07 04:27:02
This MRI thing peaked my interest in the score even more!
Wish there were samples :(

Mr. Charles2012-04-07 16:55:02
Yes, that is what an MRI pretty much is. It's used in radiology. Only instead of taking pictures of your bones, it takes pictures of your cells. They're highly dangerous in that they will rip any metal out of your body (they're magnetic) and they're very loud and noisy

Ds2012-04-07 19:05:55
On the facebook app "Battleship: the battle for earth begins at sea" (accessible through the official movie site), there are a few samples that could be part of the score by Jablonsky.

First sample: if you launch the app
Second sample: while you are playing the game
Third sample: after the battle (with the results)

It's definitely Transformers style.
