I think we were all clear that both Snyder and Tom intended to use material from Hans. I don’t think he’s writing new music, but I do think Tom will use a lot of Hans.Is it true that Hans Zimmer is working on the Snyder Cut? That would be spectacular!Lol it’s probably low quality rips from the filmwhaaat? the complete score?? where??where did you find it? what is it called on youtube?
i found a complete album on YouTube, but the audio quality is not good as I thought. Is it from the recording session? Where can I find a high quality audio of this album to listen?just going to leave this here: el matador del mar, a great character, killed so easily because sparrow needed to be the great hero.

i disapprove, long life salazar!!What is the name of the song playing when Maggie leaves it’s beautiful and haunting. The music from this movie is sheer genius a mix of heavy metal, jazz, and rock and roll! Awesome...!Yes! Finally someone else who has heard it to! I am a HUGE fan of both trilogy's, do you like POTC?R.I.P. to Ennio Morricone, dead at 91.

For those who aren’t as familiar with his material, check out Once Upon a Time in the West, easily one of the greatest scores of the past century. You can definitely hear where Zimmer took inspiration from, for Pirates/Lone Ranger/Sherlock/Rango/etc.

“Parlay” is such a love letter to the main tune from OUATITW...
it‘s unreleased...@hybrid soldier
Where can i hear the songs you have listed out? I can't find it on YouTubeLooks like Zimmer's abandoned Z+. It only worked on one iOS system, then because it wasn't recompiled for the next system wouldn't decode the music you paid for. Locking your purchases into an app was a VERY BAD idea. Now there's nothing out there that's as good at providing a great surround sound experience for headphones.So Lorne's mp3 uploads. Would anyone class that as an 'official' release of the music from the movie?Currently watching this movie the first time ^^ ... and then... suddenly a music motive spontaneously pops up. Sound exactly like a little part from Armageddon "Secondary Protocol" - really cool :) love the music in this movie. Very intense.
I don't mean to pile on but do you really think that Hans touring is the only obstacle to a CD release of a completely forgotten 12-year-old film and score by a different composer?And why would Hans' tours be responsible for the fact that many albums these days don't get a physical release? While at the same time those tours even got an LP release... lolYou are aware that there's a pandemic going on right now, right?I'm pretty sure that neither did he.I know Geoff does fantasy films and he is good at that, but I didn't want this.

Just rewatched the whole trilogy and damn how the TDKR score SLAPS! Best of the three in my opinion, mostly thanks to the Bane stuff. Which leads me to this: I really whish the Nokia trailer music, "Bane's Theme", Wayne Manor" and "Selina Kyle" get an official release one day... Here's hoping!

Just curious, if all Tom did was the remix, how come he was credited as an additional composed in the film credits? What did he contribute to the score?

OMG, it's been 7 years already! one thing i realized while going back to this score is that Hans hasn't done "dance"/"medley" cues like "imagine the fire" in a while. maybe it's one of those things people were saying they missed?

Der Profl2019-11-03 03:07:56
I love nearly every Hans Zimmer score, but maybe the missing of the "dance"/"medley" tracks (or its appearance) is the reason why I like Xperminents so much.

Hello, does anyone know the name of the song played during scene in which Alfred and Bruce discuss rumors about bane in the batcave? Thanks in advance

SD2019-04-23 06:00:37
That track is "Risen From Darkness" off the complete score.

kbdnkr2019-04-24 16:21:57
Well, it isn't..

superultramegaa2019-04-24 22:39:34
Well, it is...

I'm listening to the complete score right now, and that's exactly the track you were talking about. Unless you mean the second time Alfred and Bruce do this, in which case that's "Back to Batcave".

kbdnkr2019-04-26 09:27:41

I managed to find the clip on youtube. I was asking about the music playing during this scene. Doesnt sound like the second mentioned track either.

KnightLite2019-04-26 14:00:18
SD and superultramega are right. It’s the end of “2m17 For Old Times’ Sake / Applied Sciences” which fades into “2m18 Risen from Darkness”

kbdnkr2019-04-26 19:40:56
Omg my apologies, my bad. Looks like i had some different version of the track. Thank you all. I finally had enough time to look deeper and found it. Sorry.

Could somebody tell me in what cues JNH's themes appear on album?

Mike2019-02-22 01:50:50
Not really any... "Nothing Out There" contains the sad piano theme from Begins and Dark Knight, but otherwise the themes that get reprised are pretty much Hans stuff.

Speaking of credits, any chance the complete score page could be updated with what's out there and official?

Mike reply Replies: 0 || 2018-08-02 04:13:43
Are the credits above complete? Looks like there’s too many just-Hans tracks.

Something I never understood : Hans asked peoples to send their voice for the chant. I was part of this experience but is Hans really used all thoses records finally or it was just a marketing thing ? The fact is Hans recorded choir before asking peoples so I never understood really.
This is an article about this event : https://thefilmstage.com/news/want-to-be-in-the-dark-knight- rises-record-your-chant-for-hans-zimmer/

Just read about this on The Nerdist:

"Via Billboard, Stirling and Zimmer’s new take on The Dark Knight Rises‘ main theme has been released as the first track from an upcoming album called “The Classics.” “I have always loved Hans Zimmer’s work,” Stirling told Billboard. “There have been several times I’ve been writing a song and I’ve thought, ‘What would Hans do?’ He has a gift for making things sound magical.”

We can’t argue with that. In the course of his nearly 40-year career, Zimmer has composed the score for over 150 films. For “The Classics,” Zimmer is revisiting some of his most famous themes from The Lion King, Crimson Tide, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, Man of Steel, and Interstellar in collaboration with Stirling and several others. The list of artists contributing to the album includes 2CELLOS, the Piano Guys, Lang Lang, Leona Lewis, Till Broenner, Maxim Vengerov, Amy Dickson, Khatia Buniatishvili, and Roger Sayer.

“The Classics” will be released on Friday, January 13, 2017."

Mike2016-12-10 19:06:28
Zimmer got 2Cellos AND The Piano Guys for this? Wow!

Ei18 reply Replies: 3 || 2016-11-19 07:18:06
Very random question, but why didn't JNH return for the third?

Hybrid Soldier2016-11-19 10:15:37
James explained many times that after he saw Inception he thought Hans & Chris Nolan had really found each other and didn't want to "interfere", that the Bats where really Chris choosing Hans and then Hans asking to bring JNH to the party.

And he thought after TDK he had written all he could for that saga, he had nothing more to say...

Ei182016-11-19 15:31:42
Gotcha. Thanks, Hybrid!

Mike2016-11-19 16:21:41
He gave an interview for Film Music Reporter basically fleshing out what Hybrid just said. Among other things, he said it was Zimmer who really "defined the character" of these scores and it was "his [Zimmer's] conception of the music" that was the really predominant element. He viewed the "Eye for an Eye" cue from TDK (went Dent is threatening Gordon's kid) and his other contributions as the culmination of what he could do for a Batman movie, and didn't really know if he had anything musically left to say.

I do wish he had returned for TDKR, but hey, at least he was amicable about it. And he got an "Extra Special Thanks" from Hans in the booklet. I wonder if the two will ever co-write another score?

Anonymous reply Replies: 2 || 2015-04-08 15:19:34
did hans really do the chasing the convoy cue on his own?

vced2015-04-08 20:19:36
Arrangement sounds too intricate for a HZ only piece. So probably it was Lorne. Hans stuff is usually simple, he doesn't really write complicated cues himself.

Mike2015-05-27 22:39:22
It's not really that complicated...it's pieces of the Moody Bruce Transfiguration suite interspersed with bits of "Train Fight." ;) Hans could have easily done it himself. But anyway, the credits on this page are incomplete as it is, so we don't know. And it's really all Zimmer's music anyway, in this case, so...We can all just move along, I would say. :P

The song you refer to is a fan-made compilation of songs from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It's nowhere on The Dark Knight Rises album.

No.

Aragorn2013-06-29 04:38:04
Well, it's good. :)

John2014-03-03 02:44:13
Most of those You-Tube fan-made scores are phenomenal !! I wish Zimmer composed those pieces !! I added them onto my TDKR Complete Score playlist !!

isildur2014-03-03 11:56:50
Yes Zavadskyy's is very good. But I don't think it's better than the actual score. Did you hear "Moody Bruce Suite" here? It's absolutely incredible.

Aragorn2014-03-03 15:38:25
Both the moody bruce suites (the fast, transfiguration one and the regular one) are awesome, but notice I said it was better than the FINAL score, as in, the score as heard in the film. In the movie they hardly used either of those two suites! :(

NM2014-06-21 20:05:35
Had a listen to his Dark Knight Rises thing. I thought it was alright, listenable, it's easy to arrange something like that in the abstract though.

However no way it's better than the final score in a million years. One can ignore the synthesised instruments and the flat mix but as an arrangement it's just bits of old tunes with very minimal changes. I didn't hear any narrative. If he'd really spiced it up, injected some kick, maybe layered some tunes over each-other I'd have been more impressed. As it stands it's just a remake. As an amateur/semipro, who wouldn't even call themselves particularly good, I could've arranged that in a few hours.

That said, I think it's fair game to do those sorts of stuff to draw attention to yourself, or even just for fun and indeed it intrigued me enough to go check out his own website to hear his own original compositions, but sadly it seemed to be broken.

Mike reply Replies: 0 || 2014-03-03 15:42:21

so rise is basically just the orphan suite by zimmer and the cues at the end of TDK in succession....

Mike reply Replies: 0 || 2013-12-14 03:52:21
Are the credits to Zimmer alone here (Gotham's Reckoning, Necessary Evil, and No Stone Unturned) official, or were they put here in absence of knowledge regarding who actually did them? Because shouldn't "A Storm is Coming" be credited to Mel Wesson, and "Why Do We Fall?" be credited to Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe?

Anonymous reply Replies: 2 || 2013-11-13 21:13:40
i guess the orphan suite (same music from rise) was written way back in 2011, because it was used in the film's first teaser trailer

Mark2013-11-13 21:32:27
Huuuh, this suite was written by zimmer in TDK and known as The Dark Knigh '' the 16 minutes suite''

Anonymous2013-11-13 23:22:56
well yeah but it's slowed-down in the orphan suite and doesn't have the ostinato in the background. it's the same theme but a different arrangement of it.

You guys ever hear a fanmade track from 2011 entitled "The Hunt"? You can find it on YouTube, and it was a pretty clever mix of Hans' themes with variation and some fan-written ones.

Oddly enough My all out war is 5:11 long and it's listed as 3:21

Mortifer V.2013-09-16 01:07:46
That's a different "All Out War": the one you have is from the complete score, the music which is playing during the beginning of the final battle. This "All Out War" is another bonus track; the first half of it plays after Batman frees the cops trapped underground, until Selina rides off on the Batpod in the next scene. The second half plays when Bruce Wayne is taken with a bag over his head to Lucius Fox. (check out Wikipedia).

The 'recordings' on YouTube are not very good quality BECAUSE you found them on YouTube. You can get a better copy by looking NOT on YouTube. If you want to 'master' it, you could go to school for several years, become a sound engineer, and purchase hundreds or thousands of dollars' worth of high tech audio equipment.

I have already bought Logic pro! lol.

... or you do some self studying and invest some of your private time in mastering, cutting and suiting tracks. :) I did start with Magix and after several years I invested some money in Adobe Audition.

My longest project was or is Die Hard With A Vengeance - meanwhile I spent over eight months to make a film version soundtrack. Sadly I did this with the Magix software. Some day I'll "convert this to Audition :)

So happy editing ;-)
