Everybody is talking about Shen's Theme. I just can't figure out what his theme really is.<br>Could someone please note where in wich song and at what time his theme appears?<br><br>Thanks very much!mpolonest123 - definitely sounds like it might be inspired by it. I heard the "glockenspiel roll" employed by Bellis used in the track "Deadlights" as well. If these things are intentional nods, then it's pretty cool that the score at least acknowledges the past.I don't know if anybody stayed behind long enough to find out given that the only thing waiting at the end of the credits is one last Pennywise laugh and "IT: Chapter 1". I'd assume "Georgie's Theme" played next.Seriously, I didn't catch very much at all that was left out of the soundtrack....I DID hear alot of repeated tracks in the movie, however...So I can't say what would be notably absent. Anybody got a good example?Look at the amazing "Score A Film Music Documentary" with Hans, John Powell, Heitor Pereira, Trevor Rabin and many others composers ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K6RwDM8VFE
Well... Waymann and LP are The only ones to refer to Djwadi...<br><br>And yet no one shouted:<br><br>"Amazing!" "Revolutionary!" "I can die tomorrow, my life is complete!"<br><br>Another dropmic from Hybrid !Dudes, the score is 2h10 long, I think it is yet a lot much complete than usual !Too much Lorne Balfe talk on this site. He'll never be as good as Steve, so let's talk about Steve!<br><br><br><br>Relaaaaax, I'm kidding. They're both awesome. The best, aside from Hans.<br><br>Let's discuss this thing though .....When, for the love of God, we will finally see an MV/RC composer working on a James Bond movie. Just imagine the Bond theme, BUT done by Steve Jablonsky! It will be beyond EPIC. I know the Bond producers are very strict when it comes to the scores, but after listening to the Skyfall score, I have a feeling that an MV/RC composer can really do great things with Bond. And by the way, unlike some other Bond fans I love Eric Serra's score for GoldenEye. It's freakin awesome!@Score God - I'm not entirely sure on how this process works, but since you obviously are, I'm glad you tried to clarify it. With that out of the way - I agree, there's no need to be harsh about it. You can't expect everyone to have a clue about how this works. <br><br>What I really want to see from the complete score is the film version of We Have to Go.
Now that was just a low-hanging fruit, Hybrid :P :DThat's pretty funny to hear "blind praise" from you, considering how much you think Ramin reinvented powder after every single note of music he wrote ! ;) lolGoing to the cinema tomorrow (dolby atmos sound) checking the prague live version. Anyone seen it already? Is it exactly the same as the BLuray in terms of content? Buying the bluray in two weeks and went to two live shows (2016 and 2017).Does anyone know what tracks appear in the end credits of the movie (in case there is music, that I think it is). I think the credits open with Every 27 Years (Reprise), but I don't know what's next. <br>Thanks in advance for the help!I find all of this extremely strange. Just about two years ago people were almost universally hating on Lorne every time he became attached to a new project. And now? Orgasms everywhere. I mean, I liked Lego Batman as much as the next guy, and I adore Beyond: Two Souls. But such a blind praise for Geostorm, of all scores? It is, in my opinion, pretty mediocre and overall forgettable. Could this be a PR campaign for that piece of shit movie nobody wants to see?
Im sure there will be a DVD rip at some point before any kind of complete score is leaked...<br><br>but then again, I don't see much that needs to be leaked from this score?Dude, no need to be harsh about it. Not everyone knows how these processes work. It was a reasonable assumption that there might be a specific timeline for leaks. <br><br>With that said, thanks for the info.Maybe. Clever deduction. Wait and see then ;)Oh my god. It's time to put an end to this. There is NO timeline as to when complete scores are leaked. They leak when the person in possession of them feels like leaking them. TF4 was November of 2014 because that's when the files were uploaded to Paramount's guilds/FYC site for academy members to listen to. Same with interstellar. It has absolutely nothing to do with time. I have some scores that haven't leaked yet. And I'm not going to. Why? Because I was asked not to. Not because I feel the time is right. K? Glad we cleared that up.Does anyone remember around when the TF2 and TF3 complete scores were leaked? I know TF4's was around November 2014, I figured that might give an idea of when TF5's will get out.

This is a beautiful piece that is Tragically unobtainable!
I don't like piracy, but that's the only option left.
Please put it back up on iTunes!

Beautiful gesture by HZ & great track, choral reprise of TDKR themes.

tobi2012-07-27 19:50:04
hybrid where can we find this choral piece, and i just saw tdkr and what a great story and music alike.

Hybrid Soldier2012-07-27 19:51:51
Just click on "See details..." on this page and you'll know !

tobi2012-07-27 19:55:53
thanks

Mr. Charles2012-07-27 20:02:27
See, this is one of the reasons why HZ is my favorite composer. You don't see John Williams doing stuff like this.

Anonymous2012-07-27 20:32:22
itunes? :/

Uga22012-07-27 21:10:59
What Mr Charles said^

tobi2012-07-27 22:14:13
@Mr. Charles

I hope the day never comes when john williams has to do something like because that would mean that allot of innocent people have to day.

+ why do you have downgrade another composer like this using this situation

I am great admirer of zimmers music and not that big of fan of williams but to say this is why you like zimmer is just plainly FUCKED UP. Sorry mods for the language

Hybrid Soldier2012-07-27 22:41:36
Yeah I agree with tobi here, no reason to be harsh. Plus, what do you know about what other composers do or do not in their private life ? Maybe they are doing things we don't even know about.

But the point here is that what HZ was über cool ! :)

Mr. Charles2012-07-28 00:02:35
Whoa, whoa, whoa. You guys are totally misinterpreting what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I love John Williams. But I see and hear people trash talk HZ all too often. What I'm saying is it's nice to see him doing this. Very humble and generous.

I never said that I'm glad this horrible event happened, I wish to God it hadn't. I said "this is ONE OF THE REASONS that HZ is my favorite composer". It goes to show what kind of a man he is. In no way does that mean I'm glad this happened or that it would ever happen. I don't understand where you guys are getting that from...

And Hybrid, you're right - I have no idea what other composers are doing in their private lives. Why you mentioned a composer's private life is beyond me, because this is not HZ's private life here. He is publicly making this music available to everyone, and I think it's great that 100% of the proceeds go to all the victims of Aurora.

Again, I did not say this is why I like HZ. It's just one more thing to add to the lost of why he's my favorite. No reason to get angry or upright, people. I'm just a beloved fan expressing how I feel

ToddL2012-07-30 04:41:57
This is a profound achievement aimed at honoring the victims and all affected by a tragedy that shocked a nation. Hans has once again poured out his sensibilities, this time not into fiction, yet over factual and shocking circumstances. Anyone that overlooks the straightforward and heartfelt sorrow and gratitude of this beautiful effort is simply stupid....sorry. I appreciate him and his spirit more as a human being and artist than ever before.

ananymous2012-07-30 11:38:29
@ Mr. Charles

for example: Elegy for Cello and Orchestra

Lambegue2012-08-05 16:25:48
Well, I was rather unhappy with TDKR score (even if I haven't listened yet to the suites and to the digital exclusive material), but THIS is impressive...And yes, it's another proof that, beyond the composer, Zimmer is a great man.
It does not change anything to the quality of the music, but still...Nice to know.

So if Zimmer did this by himself and the first half is the "Slow Knife" cue from TDKR in choral form, does that mean he did the slow knife cue on his own? I doubt he would use it here if it were someone else's arrangement. Beautiful piece and beautiful gesture, as an aside, though I'm sorry it ever had to be written... :/

Mike reply Replies: 0 || 2012-12-08 09:39:51

To Mr. Zimmer-
Is the score available for performance of this piece by a local choir (Musicians of St. Clare) in Colorado?
Please - someone, tell me how to direct this question to the composer. We'd like to perform the piece at our Fall, 2012, concert in memory of the victims and for the community. Thank you!

Whoa, this track is simply amazing. I loved every second of this 8-minute cue. Simply stunning and incredible arrangement and what power when you think of what this track was written for and commemorates. Thank you HZ for this awesome gesture of generosity and kindness.

JordiVcecilia2012-07-28 02:20:37
it's so appropiate...and it's simply breathtaking piece of music.

NUts2012-07-28 05:52:48
Umm...No offense but...This track is the Bane theme and the Dark Knight theme in choral form...We already have this on the OST "RISE" and to be honest, although I appreciate more Batman-related music, I don't see why this composition has to be related to the movie, and why it's not some original piece that has no relation to ANY film....

Nice piece, but I just found that a bit off, considering the circumstances...

Mr. Charles2012-07-28 06:19:51
It has TDKR themes in it because the incident that happened was directly related to TDKR. It would be kind of random if HZ just out of the blue composed a piece dedicated to all of these people. Actually, it would be random if any composer did that. But that is beyond the point. The point is that HZ generously and humbly made this piece specifically for the victims of the Aurora shootings.

ananymous2012-07-28 10:04:42
The man knows no limits ...

Nuts2012-07-28 15:39:35
Sorry but i still disagree. Nice piece of music, but it doesn't HAVE to be the music from the movie. Zimmer writing a piece with its own signifcant identity (apart from the movie) is more appropriate because the shooting is about the PEOPLE DYING, NOT THE MOVIE.

When I listen to this piece it reminds me of Talia/Bane (their theme is used) and the Dark Knight ending....This doesn't remind me of the Aurora incident at all.

I understand where he was going with this, but really, I don't need the shooting to be directly related to the Batman movie. That was the killer's choice - who says we should give him that title designation? Im sure that's what he wants. This is why you see many news stations calling it the Aurora Movie Massacre and taking away the Batman element. Because its NOT about the movie. It's about going to the movies itself.

Like I said my opinion...Its just somber Batman music, to me. I donated. I thank Zimmer for it, just as I thank him for "RISE" and "THE END" off the OST...

Anonymous2012-07-28 19:23:25
"This doesn't remind me of the Aurora incident at all."

Yes because we all want to be reminded of it, lmao. What a dumb thing to say.

nuts2012-07-29 03:09:49
Actually Anon what you just said was pretty stupid.

I dont need music for Batman serving to remind me of the tragedy.

Something else - a different piece of music - defintely.

This is about a guy shooting innocent people in a movie theater. It's not about the Batman movie.

This guy probably WANTS that connection to be cemented in the public, but I refuse that.

nuts2012-07-29 05:25:24
Like it or not, the incident is forever linked with the tragedy.

NUts2012-07-29 19:38:27
Its only linked to Batman if you WANT it to be linked...i refuse to let this guy Holmes make himself remembered through this movie.
