Now we know where our voices where used (Bane Suite).
Thanks Hybrid Soldier. I hope WaterTower will be kind and release that stuff in CD. It's really potent and massive soundtrack! A lot of cues are not existing in the movie. Some are missing. But all in all it is truly a masterpiece!
If He (Mr Zimmer) didn't grab an oscar nomination for this one (after 2008's robbery) it will be a massive disappointment for me.
edit: The Cat Suite is 15:39 or 5:39?
I'm pretty sure it's 15:39 indeed. I remember Hybrid saying it was "really repetitive" or something, and it seems somewhat unlikely that it would be too bad if it were only 5 and a half minutes.
Is it possible that "Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite" is really "Imagine the Fire" off the ost with an extended beginning? Also, any chance that we will ever hear the extended versions of the suites?
Can someone tell me why it looks like some cues are missing? For one thing, the cue when the cops threaten to blow the bridge (found from 4:00 onward in the album track Imagine the Fire) is not here. Also, right after Selina kills Bane, when Talia gets out of the Tumbler and into the truck with the bomb, that isn't here either. Were those added later or something?
They are not in the cue sheet. They probably are just suites temped and edited here.
Thanks. That would make sense. Do you think that was the director's choice or the composer's?
Hybrid, you hinted earlier in the month that the "Moody Bruce" suites were not what people thought they were (coincedental same lengths)...will we ever get to hear them? Also, the blu-ray trailer(s) appear to have an epic cue that isnt on either the album or recording sessions - any ideas where this came from? Thanks!
I was only talking about the New Transfiguration version, which basically is an 8 min segment of the New Hero version but in steroid mode, faster tempo (same as in Chasing The Convoy East) & percs added.
Thanks for that hybrid. Will we get to hear it soon? (Apologies if you have already mentioned this previously!) but am still curious about the particular segment in the Blu-ray trailer that is basically Mollosus with extra percussion and different epic ending to it (more evident in Blu ray trailer 2) - thanks again for the earlier insight :)
I have a question about Rooftop Fight/Fear Will Find You. At least in one video from the complete score version, the End Credits theme was absent (after Batman says "This isn't a car"), but it is there on the album version, and I remember hearing it in the movie. Was the video off, or was it indeed not in the film and I'm remembering wrong?
It was in film. It's simply an insert that wasn't recorded at the same as the cue and then was added later.
Hybrid, what would the nerds like us do without you? XD
Completely rearranged through various tracks, pretty much, yes.
Thank you, Mike. Do you know how to construct it?
The Magnificent Century
The End Credits (Complete Score)= 01 :: A Mix of TDK & BB End Credits - Master Only 02 :: Imagine The Fire A Mix of Original Score Album - Master only 03 :: Not An Ordinary Citizen + Miranda Visits Wayne + Moody Bruce New Hero Suite (last part). I think that, The Third Part it's easy to construct it.....?!
In TDKR's Blu Ray trailer, there was a piece of music that played between Molossus and Imagine the Fire, when it's talking about the extras. Is that listenable by itself anywhere? It was like a mix between Molossus and Agent of Chaos.
What are your top 3 favorite tracks in The Dark Knight Rises complete film score?
I'll share you my top 3--
3. Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite (8:38) a.k.a. Aurora 2. A Hero Can Be Anyone (2:35) 1. Rooftop Fight - Back To Batcave (4:07)
Who has ever said that New Transfig was Aurora ?
Surprisingly the lengths are quite similar indeed, but...
I like Batman Chased, Hospital Visit, Bar Shootout, Instrument of Your Liberation, and Gordon Underground.
Hybrid Soldier : I have the complete score and I checked : the track Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite (8:38) IS Aurora, I swear.
@The Bat @Hybrid Soldier: I've had the exact same thoughts. I'm pretty sure "Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite" is the same as "Aurora." Though, if you confirm something different, Hybrid, I'll take your word for it.
Haha, I knew it! It never made sense to me that Aurora would be included in the Recording Sessions since it technically isn't part of the score and wasn't recorded at the same time.
@The Bat @Jimmer: those were fan-made, unfortunately. The third disc hasn't leaked yet :(
I really think "Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite (8:38)" is la deanse des canards

It's... I don't know... depressing... :)
@Hybrid Soldier what????
Let me try and answer for him: These sessions have barely been out for a week and already there have been a minimum of three re-arrangements of the sessions. Who the fuck needs so many variations of the same thing?! We all have the sessions, and those took forever to download. So, now let's do it all over again for something that contains very nearly the exact same material that is arranged just slightly differently!!!
Wow, Another fan edit.... what? Ultimate score, well i think there's no new music materials all fan edit score, +Z suites no more
Scorefan , please let us know when "the giga-ultimate-yourearsarebleedingman-dantonkul" edition consisting in 30 cd's avec un rot de Nolan as an hidden bonus track will be available! I can't live without it ! plééééééééééz!
Hey Hybrid, will this complete score be released in places like Barnes and Noble and Amazon?
Nah sure it will, 3 discs extensive linear notes and signed by hans zimmer & all additional composers :p
Darn... I guess that means I'm screwed. :P Thanks for telling me.
@Pluto: you do know you can find this score by doing a simple Google search, right? It may cost you lifetime registration at a wonderful music-sharing site, but it will not cost you a penny to get this complete score.
So does anyone else think the film version of Risen From Darkness is waaaaay cooler than the CD version? The initial part when Batman first appears is more epic, and instead of a weird electronic beat during the new heroic theme, we have drums. It all just sounds better in the film edit. Oh well.
OK, the tracklist has leaked, so now only music is missing! :)
I'm looking forward to the bar shootout music. That one was epic.
Short notice here, the Rooftop Fight cue is without insert on the sessions...
The OST one has the insert.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's an insert?
An insert is technically a segment of music written to be edited inside a previously existing cue...
Like, for instance, the director loves the 5:06 min cue, but there's specifically a part between 1:36 to 1:58 that just... don't work.
The composer will write a brand new piece, or an alternate, for just that 22 seconds segment, which generally the music editor incorporates into the cue.
Just listen to that TDKR cue, you'll understand pretty well how it works.
Moody Bruce New Hero Suite (22:00)...Wayne manor Bane Suite (23:10) Bane Cat Suite (15:39) - The New One Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite (8:38) - Aurora
Agent of Chaos
Ok Almost complete Score, but some notes****
Batman Chased (4:28) not the film version, but The Original Bonus track. the correct tracks; A Hero Can Be Anyone (2:35)+ Mugging from (Batman Begins) Imagine The Fire (1:45)+ Selina (Catwoman Theme) Missing track between Not An Ordinary Citizen (4;47)& Imagine The Fire (1:45)= Imangine the fire from The Original Soundtrack
I assume the Cat Suite is evidently the Selina Kyle suite. It's either that or a typo mistake in the time length.
No typo here. It's just unedited, but it's actually quite repetitive, the one put in the Z+ suites is well done.
What about Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite? Most people assume it's Aurora.
