Like most of the releasesAny news on season 2 soundtrack? LG, Jakob.Seems like this is going to be a Dark Phoenix situation where we don't have a tracklist, release date or cover until the week the movie releases.

I wonder if it's because Miller is still locking down the final cut and Tom's still scoring. Either way, definitely looking forward to this and the movie.Jackman's name has been taken off the IMDb page for Black Widow, so might just be one of those typical IMDb errors (I remember they had him up as the composer for Mission: Impossible - Fallout too).
Thats not as annoying a difference as the choral elements for Electro's Death being so muted in the sessions.Everan, this doesn't make any sense, actually, "I'm Electro" is the film version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider Theme", if you watch the scene in the movie again, you will notice that the film version has the little fragment at the 0:13 seconds mark of "I'm Electro", while the unreleased "Itsy Bitsy Spider" listed here doesn't have it, better saying, "I'm Electro" is actually the true film version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider", while the version we know is just a Alternate.You can find it easily on Youtube today, by the way, I can't find the alternate of Electro Showdown Part 1.mpolonest123, actually "unused source" is listed here, it's just with a different name "Farewell", I guess it was meant to be used between "Sins of The Fathers" and "Max Electrocuted", also, you've mentioned a film version of Norman's death song (Which is "Sins of The Fathers"), and If I'm not wrong, that track has just one version...Anonymous, I think he's referring to the film version of "Spidey Logo", the one in the official album release
DT-2017, The film version of "Harry's Transformation" mixes "Sum Total" with the part between 2:04 and 2:58 from "Special Projects", but with less instruments and a additional electric guitar. I actually like both versions, if you hear the film version, it actually sounds like it was just edited in last hour to fit in the scene, while the version in the album, I'm almost sure it was meant to be used in the full scene, you know, the uncut scene, with the parts as Harry's teeth growing, his column being fused (or whatever is that thing), he looking at the screen, and more...but then they deleted the fragments, and for Zimmer the last hour plan was just throw the intense part of "Special Projects" into the song, and for me, that worked well, I would like to hear the Intense parts of the two alternates of "Harry's Transformation" isolated.There’s a 3-minute clip of the truck chase on YouTube and I have to say the score sounds pretty cool. A lot of string/percussion work with an awesome electronic motif for the new “Terminator” model. Also, Brad Fiedel’s theme is back. ;)Hmmm, where do you have found the alternate of Electro Showdown Part 1? And what is the track "Farewell"? It is meant to be related to the Norman osborn scene? More likely "Sins of the Fathers" track?, I think not, because the track in that scene is 3 minutes long, while this "Farewell" is just 1 minute long
Also, you missed some tracks: Film Version of "Electro Showdown Part 2", Film Version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" (which is actually the original version of the Album mix, yeah that one which was cut and renamed to "I'm Electro), an Alternate of "Truck Chase", and "Sins of the Fathers" which I mentioned before.
There's also two more alternates of "Flying Montage", one which is just 40 seconds long, and the film version, which doesn't have anything to do with the original version and the two alternates listed here.
And yeah, we can't forget about the second alternate of "I'm Spiderman" which is the film version of the track, and it was actually released in the album mix!Isn't his problem when people like Bruckheimer wanted a specific sound and give no freedom in his movies.

He works for what is given.I think Lorne already has enough noise behind her, for my liking I should start to give way to quality instead of quantity.
ASCAP shows that "Farewell To Lilliput" is credited to Jackman/Willis. Is it correct or there is only Jackman? Just thought may be there is a typo on the site.Any news on the soundtrack for Jack Ryan season 2?I was hoping for Ramin Djawadi to compose The Eternals, well Joseph Trapanese is a good composer so its good news.John powell is flying lowkey now which sucks, His X3 score is just jaw dropping. The Eternals would be perfect for him cause he'd make it epic but Joseph Trapanese is scoring that Surprised Jablonsky hasn't tackled DC or Marvel yet eitherDamn i miss Klaus, he needs a damn come back. Stupid talented

To those who say Batman has no theme in these movies: he has a lot! By the end of the third movie he has two main themes (the two notes and the Dark Knight suite theme) and three subthemes (the beginning of the end credits music, the Why Do We Fall theme, which has several variations, and the heroic theme starting at 4:00 in the Imagine the Fire album track).

MTV Trailer Music original version?

Say what?

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2013-05-16 09:59:53
I wonder how it is that the end of Hans Zimmer's theme for Selina Kyle became the unofficial theme for the Gotham Police (you know, during the scenes when Bane had control of the city...you heard it in cues like "Special Forces Arrive", "Gordon to Foley", "Get Me to Fox - Gordon Arrested", and probably more).

diego reply Replies: 3 || 2013-05-15 21:33:50
I gotta say...really glad the fernet-branca track was edited for the film. the electronic sound of the original cue hurts my ears and the first instance of the two-note theme sounds like a fart. lol. same with batman chased, way too electronic. sounded like some pop song. lorne balfe is a good arranger most of the time, but in these two cases I can't say he did a good job.

Mike2013-05-15 21:41:17
I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but the film version of "Batman Chased" in one of my favorite parts of the whole score. I'd love to see it released! Though it seems unlikely that such a thing would happen. "Film mixes" aren't released often. The only cases that I know of are The Phantom Menace [Ultimate Deluxe Edition], which is a poorly-put-together version of John Williams' score exactly as heard in the film, and a special edition version of Danny Elfman's score to 1989's "Batman", also containing a film mix or two.

Oh well. We can hope, I guess.

Anonymous2013-05-15 21:43:18
Fernet-Branca (film version) is easy enough to edit if you have the track "Aggressive Expansion"--fiddle with the volume at a couple points, then replace the segment in Rise with the edit you just made, and you're good to go.

James2013-05-16 09:45:33
I agree. The album release is one of my least favorite soundtracks, but the score as heard in the film is one of my favorites.

toothsayer reply Replies: 2 || 2013-05-08 08:45:07
So what's the deal? I read different responses and maybe's all throughout this page: is there any more rumblings or possibilities of this being released officially?

Areozz2013-05-08 15:30:48
no

toothsayer2013-05-12 15:13:33
Bummerville. It must be slightly frustrating to work on a nearly 3 hour+ score, and only 45 minutes of it is usually released.

I remember the mentioning of Sherlock Holmes 2 and inception as well getting additional music

Mike2012-12-05 02:41:51
Didn't the Sherlock Holmes and Inception stuff happen a while ago?

Uganda2012-12-05 03:12:25
When?

Well, I know Inception got two bonus tracks at one point, Projections and Don't Think About Elephants. Now that I think about it I don't think Sherlock Holmes 2 got anything.

Mike2012-12-05 03:26:49
I guess I was thinking of the first Sherlock Holmes. Didn't that have some bonus material?

That's what Hans told me back then. I'll try to get back to him about that, even though he's really busy with you know what.

But it wouldn't surprise me that the leaking of this won't motivate anyone to move officially. You can't win them all.

the same guy did a film version mix of "Batman Chased" that is purely UNMATCHED as well. Check it out watch?v=42BoT-XPUJ4&list=UUE4NGOJoJ1koFMrG0SgS15Q&index=32

Mike2013-03-27 03:05:25
I've heard that one, Billy Bob, and it's good overall, but the part from 6:58-7:20 sounds a little too bombastic.

The full version of the "slow knife" scene is so good! Too bad it was cut short on the album! :(

Hybrid, will Hans release the true version of Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite? If its definitely NOT Aurora, what is it then? Earlier you said it was a steroid version of Chasing the Convoy East track - if its what I think it is....this was definitely on the Bonus features and it sounded awesome!

Mike reply Replies: 5 || 2013-02-19 03:40:20
You know, I almost think it would be cooler if Rooftop Fight were without the insert at 0:45 in the movie. I mean, we just heard the credits music in the chase scene right before.

MrEJ@XrX2013-03-05 19:23:34
I am wondering if there are official plans to release this on CD or HD Tracks download?!! Please advise!

Mike2013-03-05 19:31:06
Unfortunately, I would strongly doubt it. :( The only complete score releases I know of are the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the original Star Wars trilogy.

Maybe we can expect a two-disc release like The Dark Knight got, though. :)

Trent Easton Navarro2013-03-08 11:51:03
Ever heard of labels like La La Land and Intrada? They release complete (or expanded) scores all the time.

Why anyone would want a complete version of this is beyond me though :P

Hybrid Soldier2013-03-08 13:06:44
You continuously posting on this site is beyond me too...

Trent Easton Navarro2013-03-11 15:34:33
@Hybrid

Wasn't this a site for Hans Zimmer's fans? And believe it or not, I am a Zimmer fan. Two of his scores are probably in my all time Top 10.

I wish the film versions came with the recording sessions.

-Batman Chased
-Rooftop Fight
-Crossing Bridge / Chasing convey East

There's a few tracks that sound way better in the movie compared to the originals. The fan-edits work, but a legit film version for the altered tracks would be awesome!

Mike2013-03-06 00:28:50
AMEN. I'd especially love a movie edit of Batman Chased and "Crossing the Bridge", as you called it. My edits are okay, but they obviously aren't as clean or nice as the movie versions.

Hey Watertower, come over here and read this!

Hybrid Soldier2013-03-06 08:31:22
Batman Chased in the movie IS an edit. Not fan-one, but music editor-one.

Zimmeredge reply Replies: 2 || 2012-12-08 00:31:51
Now we know where our voices where used (Bane Suite).

Thanks Hybrid Soldier. I hope WaterTower will be kind and release that stuff in CD. It's really potent and massive soundtrack!
A lot of cues are not existing in the movie. Some are missing. But all in all it is truly a masterpiece!

If He (Mr Zimmer) didn't grab an oscar nomination for this one (after 2008's robbery) it will be a massive disappointment for me.

Zimmeredge2012-12-08 01:08:20
edit: The Cat Suite is 15:39 or 5:39?

Mike2013-02-01 04:19:40
I'm pretty sure it's 15:39 indeed. I remember Hybrid saying it was "really repetitive" or something, and it seems somewhat unlikely that it would be too bad if it were only 5 and a half minutes.

4:46-12:15 in the Wayne Manor suite is SO AMAZING.

Is it possible that "Moody Bruce New Transfiguration Suite" is really "Imagine the Fire" off the ost with an extended beginning?
Also, any chance that we will ever hear the extended versions of the suites?

Mike2012-12-22 07:14:12
Question seconded!

Mike reply Replies: 2 || 2012-12-20 23:37:56
Can someone tell me why it looks like some cues are missing? For one thing, the cue when the cops threaten to blow the bridge (found from 4:00 onward in the album track Imagine the Fire) is not here. Also, right after Selina kills Bane, when Talia gets out of the Tumbler and into the truck with the bomb, that isn't here either. Were those added later or something?

Hybrid Soldier2012-12-21 10:50:42
They are not in the cue sheet. They probably are just suites temped and edited here.

Mike2012-12-21 23:17:39
Thanks. That would make sense. Do you think that was the director's choice or the composer's?

Bane reply Replies: 1 || 2012-12-09 05:55:15
Can anyone tell me the instruments used in "born in darkness''?

So is new music coming on the app soon?

Mike reply Replies: 1 || 2012-11-23 08:07:51
I know that the part beginning at 4 minutes in the album track "Imagine the Fire" is in the movie when Blake is on the bridge, but what track is that in the complete score? I can't find it.

Mike2012-11-23 08:28:42
Also, while I'm here, is "A Dark Knight Suite" the same as "Orphan" from the app?

Was I the only one inwardly geeking out when I heard Lasiurus as Liam Neeson said, "Did you not think I would return, Bruce?"

Jaynufire reply Replies: 4 || 2012-11-14 17:00:06
Hybrid, you hinted earlier in the month that the "Moody Bruce" suites were not what people thought they were (coincedental same lengths)...will we ever get to hear them? Also, the blu-ray trailer(s) appear to have an epic cue that isnt on either the album or recording sessions - any ideas where this came from? Thanks!

Hybrid Soldier2012-11-16 15:36:35
I was only talking about the New Transfiguration version, which basically is an 8 min segment of the New Hero version but in steroid mode, faster tempo (same as in Chasing The Convoy East) & percs added.

Jaynufire2012-11-16 18:01:30
Thanks for that hybrid. Will we get to hear it soon? (Apologies if you have already mentioned this previously!) but am still curious about the particular segment in the Blu-ray trailer that is basically Mollosus with extra percussion and different epic ending to it (more evident in Blu ray trailer 2) - thanks again for the earlier insight :)

Mike2012-11-17 05:26:20
Seconded, I'd love to hear it lol

Drunkenmunkey2012-11-17 20:29:01

I have a question about Rooftop Fight/Fear Will Find You. At least in one video from the complete score version, the End Credits theme was absent (after Batman says "This isn't a car"), but it is there on the album version, and I remember hearing it in the movie. Was the video off, or was it indeed not in the film and I'm remembering wrong?

Hybrid Soldier2012-11-14 08:53:35
It was in film. It's simply an insert that wasn't recorded at the same as the cue and then was added later.

Mike2012-11-14 10:08:02
Hybrid, what would the nerds like us do without you? XD

Is CD3 track 1 Wayne Manor? The track lengths are very similar...
