Sounds like a Zimmer version of the Top Gun Anthem to me. Whoever did it, it works!me who seldom watch any of these superhero movies and remakes went and saw the new aladdin last weekend.<br><br>based on my own experience of that remake i have come to the conclusion that maybe some of the reviewers are stuck-up and not open-minded? i did enjoy the new takes on some of the songs. the new movie felt like that. a new different movie to me. <br><br>i decided that i will go and watch these movies for myself now. and i would not watch (or listen to original scores) in advance to build up expectation. i will go and enjoy my time and the songs.<br><br>that's all &#175;\_(&#12484;)_/&#175; you can't please everyone.To be honest. I love the bonus score tracks, nut those remixes are a wazte of disc soace in my opinion. I would've rather have 20 extra minutes of score.<br><br>Let the Complete Score come!For everyone that's heard it, is the Deluxe Edition worth a double dip?@Hybrid is this the combination of FYC promotional score + official release by LLL?
Use your hybrid skills to unravel the mysteries of the score.Cuesheet is blank.oh yes please, including Balfe - dont start yelling, Im just really curious who did whatFinally! It would be nice to have composers credits@DT<br>Disney definitely tries to put quality into their projects, which is why I admire them. As youve said, WDAS and Pixar are both churning out some excellent and original films. Even Marvel, despite its formula and flaws, tries new things with the films and stick closely to the source material. <br><br>The problem with the remakes is that they seem to be nothing more than cash-grabs that prey on nostalgia. If you are going to retell a beloved story at least try something different and exciting, instead of trying to copy/paste what everyone has seen.
This is where I wish we could edit our comments.<br><br>Not only do you have WDAS doing mostly-new movies (I hesitate to say 'original') but you have Pixar doing them as well. Toy Story 4 was their last sequel for the foreseeable future, with them even eschewing the popular option of doing an Inside Out sequel for original projects.I feel like people are overreacting in a way that suggests these remakes have far more power than they actually do. The studio that makes them is separate from every other studio. WDAS is still creating new content and will be for many, many years to come, long after the remakes have had their heyday.<br><br>If anything, the proliferation of superhero films is far more likely to drown out originality on that front: there are multiple studios doing it.Order I went with for the album<br><br>Everything I Need (Film Version)<br>Arthur <br>Home Invasion (Bonus Track)<br>It Wasn't Meant To Be<br>Permission To Come Aboard<br>Ask the&#8239;Sea (Bonus Track)<br>Atlantean Soldiers<br>Ahab Waves (Bonus Track)<br>Saving Pops (Bonus Track)	Soundtrack	0	1<br>Swimming Lessons	<br>Kingdom of Atlantis<br>The Legend of Atlan	<br>The Ring of Fire	<br>What Does That Even Mean?Soundtrack	0	<br>Obligation (Bonus Track)	<br>Dunes (Bonus Track)	<br>Map In a Bottle<br>Mera&#8239;Montage	<br>The Black Manta	<br>Trench Engaged (From Kingdom of the Trench)	Soundtrack	0	<br>Reunited <br>What Could Be Greater Than a King?<br>Suited and Booted <br>Between Land and Sea <br>He Commands the Sea	<br>Ocean To Ocean (feat. The cue I want the most is We Strike First.@Edmund<br>I cant agree enough. These remakes suffer from the issue of being inferior to the original source material, mainly because they rely so heavily on copying the originals so heavily. Im not necessarily against Disney updating their classics if they are willing to do new takes on the material. Take Jungle Book for example; they were able to do something fresh with the concept while keeping elements of the animated film. Even Maleficent, which Im not crazy about, tried something new. <br><br>Another BIG issue Ive noticed is the fact that they lean towards hiring actors who cannot sing, or at least cannot sing on the level required. Emma Watson, Will Smith, Chiwetel Ejiofor, etc.
Best shot <br>It wasnt meant to be<br>Home invasion<br>Ahab waves (0:39-end)<br>Permission to come aboard?<br>Ask the sea<br>Ahab waves (0:00-0:38)<br>Saving pops<br>Swimming lessons<br>Kingdom of atlantis<br>Legend of atlan<br>Ring of fire<br>What does that even mean?<br>Ocean to ocean<br>Obligation<br>Dunes<br>Map in a bottle<br>Black manta<br>Mera montage<br>Between land and sea<br>Trench engaged<br>What could be greater than a king?<br>Suited and booted<br>He commands the sea<br>Reunited<br>Everything i need<br><br>"Arthur" and "Atlantean Soldiers" are probably suitesJust want shrike death cue!I feel as though Menken did a bit more to differentiate his 2017 Beauty and the Beast from the 1991 one. The major pieces like "Prologue" and "Transformation" were left relatively intact but otherwise the rewrite was a bit more substantial than what Zimmer and crew did here. Compare the final battle music from the original (which consists to a large degree of upbeat instrumental versions of "Be Our Guest") to the remake (which is largely serious, straightforward orchestral action music). I haven't heard his new Aladdin so I'm not sure what the old:new ratio was there.<br><br>I'm not necessarily complaining, this is basically what I expected the score would be from the moment it was announced. The problem lies deeper, with the entire premise of these pointless remakes that allow very little wiggle room for freshness or creativity. Of course, I have no doubt this movie will make north of a billion dollars and give the Disney execs further license to print money. Maybe by the time they've remade every single film in their vault enough time will have passed that they can just start from the beginning again and nobody need ever be subject to the indignity of an original story ever again.It's a variation of the theme Anthem from the first Top Gun film by Harold Faltermeyer.whats the name of the song being played in this trailer?<br>is it available online

Does anyone have any idea the name of the song for when you see Teddys tattoos? Specifically when he leans back at 48:34. Ive tried finding it through the soundtrack, and the pieces on soundcloud. Can anyone help?

I'm waiting for Harry's response for returning for the sequel or not? My opinion is, I think Harry seem like working with Denzel Washington often in the movies like Man Of Fire, Deja Vu, and The Taking Of Pelham 123 and Unstoppable, The Equalizer, I think Antoine Fuqua director should hire him back again, but I don't know if his schedule conflicts with busy working with MEG Score.

Edmund Meinerts2018-04-22 17:32:39
Pretty sure the reason HGW works with Washington so often is because Tony Scott worked with him so often... :p

Jean-Luc 2018-04-23 05:45:37
I'm agree that

Does anyone know a general chronological order to put this score in for a playlist? It seems most tracks are suites but listening to it it seems to be out of order. And where would the Justin Burnett soundcloud tracks go in the same playlist as well?

Poe2015-04-17 20:49:19
Can anyone help at all with this?

Thank you very much Anonymous. I do not suppose you know which cues made their way onto the score do you? For one example, Concerned Citizen is a title that does not appear in the cue sheets list you supplied so I am assuming that the score title is some kind of compilation of cues?

Picasso reply Replies: 1 || 2015-03-13 13:59:34
watched the movie yesterday, i loved it. BUT, the whole movie and the score to it, screamed so much "Man on Fire".

"A Quiet Voice" is almost the same as "You Betrayed Me" from Man on Fire. All the sound design and effects the same over and over again.

i enjoyed it, because i liked man on fire very much, but then again... doesn't this man have any other ideas? making millions to score for a hollywood movie and giving all the years the same thing?

Hybrid-Fan2015-03-13 15:58:20
yeah, same thoughts here. interesting also to hear AGAIN a track from zack hemsey. first the inception trailer, where he stole zimmer the attention, then the transformers fiasco and then again here a cue.

why don't they just hide zack? he would be a great part of the rcp.

JamesT reply Replies: 4 || 2015-01-19 17:00:12
So according to IMDB, Harry is no longer scoring Southpaw, it's now James Horner?!?

Hybrid?

Hybrid Soldier2015-01-19 17:04:32
It is James Horner.

JamesT2015-01-19 19:18:53
Do we know why it went to Horner? Harry said in Sept that we was just about to start working on it.

Prott2015-01-19 20:13:19
I hope it's not because he had to take an extra time to work on Blackhat. :-/

Edmund Meinerts2015-01-19 23:30:57
Horner seems like a really bizarre pick for Antoine Fuqua. To be honest I wouldn't be too surprised if he gets rejected yet again. Still, I hope he stays and I'm curious to see how it turns out - maybe an extension of the most MV/RC-sounding parts of Avatar, which would be awesome IMO!

Felix reply Replies: 0 || 2015-01-05 23:19:10
Hey Hybrid, did they release the Blckhat Score by Harry & Atticus?

Do you know anything about that? , so please let us know

Ds reply Replies: 0 || 2014-09-27 17:30:50
This is an example of how to use a score in a movie. Audible throughout, fitting the mood of each scene and the overal tone of the movie, it's a work perfectly done. I enjoyed the movie a lot, and the score was a big part of it!

JamesT reply Replies: 0 || 2014-09-23 20:50:37
Yes! Harry is back. Some great stuff on here! Love the Light It Up-esque theme.

Will you be adding Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Harry any time soon? The score has already been confirmed in the deluxe edition of the game.
