Ahoy schedueled the show from 20.00-22.50, but it took until about 23.15 including the Inception after piece... Depends a bit on how quick the audience takes their seats. The Dutchies seemed a bit slow as some came running in as the first piece had already been played. Hans even commented on their laziness ;)
Hello everyone you know why was the singer of " Lion King " is difference has some concert ( sofia example) and Yolanda Charles is replaced by a man? sick? tired ? I hope they will be there in France :)
Hello Kristo I was on the concert in Luxembourg yesterday 22 May, Lebo M the singer of "Lion King" was there and Yolanda Charles also . THE SHOW GREAT !!!
ok thx but women singer it's not wife Lebo M,she different no :)
Hans is scoring Sean Penn's new movie called The Last Face. It's coming it in Can in one month! Very excited about this news and about JNH scoring Fantastic Beasts:)
"The Last Face" premieres tomorrow in Cannes Festival. I hope we get some feedback on the score. And I hope there'll be a release date!
So, the only bit I found so far is from The Hollywood Reporter:
"handsome widescreen visuals of the wounded African landscapes — relentlessly accompanied by composer Hans Zimmer's extended lecture in musical solemnity"
Not sure what this means exactly, but it'll probably be good! :-p
The film was unanimously slammed at Cannes. Looks like an epic failure in every way... lol
Yes apparently. Doesn't mean the score couldn't be good though;)
Usually with Cannes you have to think the other way around. I hate most of the movies they love, so I might like the movies they hate... :-p
Hope the score gets a release...
It's probably extremely pretentious with a strong liberal bias.
Looks crap but I'd like to know what this so-called "liberal bias" is.
"extended lecture in musical solemnity" = The Thin Red Line-esque, I bet. I'm a little intrigued (this assignment sure feels like it came the frick out of nowhere), but that's not exactly my favorite mode of Hans'...so long as it doesn't turn out like 12 Years a Slave, though, everything will be OK.
We came from Macedonia to enjoy what I call a life time experience. I do not have the words to explain what I felt last night! Thank you for composing some of the best masterpieces the world has ever heard.
I was in this epic performance in Vienna . It is very emotional for me and makes me long thoughtful. Thanks to Hans Zimmer and all of its participating musicians . PS: we had an exclusive premiere of Inferno! Yeahhh
Inferno?? Whaaaaat? :-o :-o :-o
There's a video on Youtube claiming to be "The Da Vinci Code - Inferno", but actually it's just the same piece that was played at every concert :-p
I know, but Hans told it's new sound from Inferno. The sound was the same theme but a little bit different.
Actually brownhawk is right. Zimmer says "It's not Da Vinci Code, it's the same theme, but please ladies and gentlemen, let us give you Inferno".
That's funny because in earlier concerts he was clearly speaking about The Da Vinci Code before playing that exact same piece.
I wonder why he decided to change it in the middle of the tour. Also I wonder if they updated the programme booklet :-p
Really true. Yeah it is a Special for Vienna. He said Vienna is a city of music. :-)
I attended the concert yesterday in Vienna. Everyone who loves soundtracks, have to join this concert. It was spectacular with incredible musicians and singers. Mr. Zimmer thanks for this fantastic evening. Hope you will come back with your tour to Austria.
A beautiful and true statement . You write what I think also . :-)
So I just recreated the live version of Aurora using the original track, and the drums from 'The End' and i'm pretty happy with the result. But every time I try to upload it, it get's blocked in most countries around the world. I also can't find any upload of 'The End' on Youtube, anybody know why this particular song is the only one from Hans Zimmer/The Dark Knight Rises that's being blocked on Youtube?
The song isn't available on Spotify too :/ Maybe the song is part of a digital/bonus/deluxe edition. And those special editions will be blocked usually. Don't know why but it is the same for some Interstellar songs.
I attended on the Budapest concert and I must say it was a great overall experience. It is very visible that each and every person who was involved in the production including musicians, lighting, sound contributed strongly to maximize the experience. As for my personal taste I enjoyed most the first half of the show that was more traditional compared to the second part that turned into a rock band concert for me - except for the extra piece. :) Given the absolutely superb sound engineering that created a blasting soundstage I would have been happy just listening to the original film scores, but the show became much more with variations. Great work, I hope it was not the only one! :-D
What is the "extra piece"?? :-)
Was there another piece played just for the filmed concert? :-)
Thank you for making such amazing concert in Budapest. That bass blew up my mind. In Part 2 can we get The Last Samurai, Pearl Harbor, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Crysis 2, more Gladiator, The Rock? And the Thin Red Line title was really emotional and didnt know about that song.Thank you for introducing that amazing creation.
I attended the concert in Brussels and was completely blown away. I keep tracking the other concerts and bought tickets to attend also the concert in Lille. I notice on youtube that Aleksey Igudesman isn't always present. Any chance he is planning to play along in Lille?
Igudesman & Joo concerts are overlapping the Hans concerts which is why Aleksey hasn't been at all of them. Plus he had a short stay in Siberia doing a music festival type thing. According to his Twitter they are in the USA at the moment then he is back on Friday for Hans. I don't know the answer to your question about Lille but you could try asking him on his Facebook page or Twitter if you have those (and if no one here knows the answer).
Can someone help me with the name of the woman who accompanies Lebo M during Lion King? I'm compiling Prague's setlist and would like to mention it.. setlist.fm/setlist/hans-zimmer/2016/o2-arena-prague-czech-re public-6bf172a2.html
Earthquake struck Prague on Saturday. The O2 Arena almost collapsed :-) I listen to movie music for many years and I'm a big fan of Hans and other great composers, so I somehow knew what it's going to be about. BUT WHAT SOUND were these people able to produce can't really be described. I noticed few older people had to leave after the spiderman electro massacre :-) It was soooooo epic, spectacular and monumental that I still can't believe what happend there. I would like to thank to all of the musicians and especialy to Hans for this great experience.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!
The bluray can't even get close to the sound of live performance but would be appreciated, definitely:-)
To bring the excitement down a notch - some of it, especially in the second half of the concert, was simply too loud. Major elements (brass) of the Superman theme in "What Are You Going to Do When You Are Not Saving the World?" were essentially inaudible, the Electro suite was the musical embodiment of a headache (that's more of a personal quibble; I simply don't like that score) and the Dark Knight selections - pretty much all the Joker material - while very iconic, do not a very pleasant concert piece make, in my opinion. Other than that, it was an absolutely amazing show. Loved all the other sets. Still can't believe I got to see my favorite film composer in person, in my home town. Truly a night to remember.
Pavel Brzak, I felt exactly the same way!! An incredible experience, it's simply beyond words. I think with a good sound system the bluray experience will be very enjoyable as well :-)
Hans and his team made a great job. Even more you can anytime expect. I hope they enjoy the tour too.
I was in Prague for the weekend an found Hans Zimmer was performing that night. They only had VIP tickets left, but wow, what an experience! I have listened to these tracks for many year and been to other music concerts performing these tracks. Experiencing this music, this epicness by the Zimmer was breathtaking.
Thank you very much (and a blue ray would be much apreciated)
