you added credits! finnaly we can see at least who was working on it, hopefully there will be releaseAND "Monza 1976".... <br><br>Holy shit! What an awesome cue!Looks like "Need You Busting My Balls - Main On Ends" is on YouTube. Sounds pretty legit to me :DTo each his own. This is an awesome collection, but does anyone out there know how to rearrange these tracks chronologically, especially Combines Assault?
Were did you heared that? I want to listen to it too... I hope that you say is true.mpolonest123 I totally agree with you. It's not that I don't like Gladiator (is an awesome score) but I think The Last Samurai is one of Zimmer's most underrated scores and for me is one of his bests'Goldsmith's original is epic, this is boring and generic crap. It's some kind of arabic, I can verify that theory myself. It's Deshi Basar'a, Go Quickly! or Rise Quickly!Well here is my last response... this is beyond absurd... & I feel Mr MK is somebody with a weird agenda posing as a fan. Yes, I AM THE REAL PEDRO EUSTACHE [not somebody "posing" for me] & I truly think this is useless... specially with people impossible to exchange honest, constructive opinions with... Please, whoever MK is, please, before you "tear me down" do your homework, & check out what God has blessed me with [yes, even if you don't believe in him, he is real tome... WHEN I ALMOST COMMITTED SUICIDED AFTER MY DAUGHTER—THREE-YEARS OF AGE— DIED OF BRAIN CANCER, JESUS SAVED MY LIVE, SIR!! YES, HE IS THAT REAL TO ME... IN SPITE OF YOUR MOCKERY & DISRESPECTFUL SARCASM... you might be surprised… I have composed & performed a 47 minute long, 12 movement concerto for 21 solo wind instruments of the world with Mtro. Gustavo Dudamel & his extraordinary orchestra, for example, in which I perform Raga Todi in a unique 15-hole bansuri built by myself, or when I mix a fugue Bach-style with Spanish “Bulería” Flamenca, or use a “mirror-form” in the Armenian piece in which the actual musical orchestral score—literally!—‘draws’ the silhouette of mount Ararat, the symbol of Armenia, or a 21/8 piece for the Easter-European section that starts with 12 upright basses slapping & doing ‘pizzicato Bartok’, or etc… you get the picture!!…] or recording three times with Mtro John Williams [missed the fourth time just now: “Star Wars VIII” due to being in world tour w Hans,,, (recordings where in May 2 & 4)—besides MANY other movie scores with Hans, John Powell, John Debney, James-Newton Howard, etc... or building more than 100 instruments, including unique instruments that nobody else in the world has, after doing research in acoustics with highly specialized Ph, D’s in flute & wind acoustics like Dr. John Coltman & Dr. Peter Hoekje, for example… & etc, ETC… My point: this is ridiculous!! I do not have to defend myself from such absurdity... Ah, forgot to mention: I just finished a 242 pages long book on "How to Write our Own Cadenzas in Mozart Style", or my studies of “Musical Phenomenology” with Mtro Markand Thakar--disciple of the genius Sergiu Celibidache--or that I have more than 7 years of Symphonic experience, studied Indian classical music with luminaries like Pnd Ravi Shankar—yes, THE legendary, iconic, irreplaceable & historic Ravi Shankar!— & Pndt. Hariprasad Chaurasia... but wait... I'm wasting my time!!… Mr MK might not even know who these geniuses are!… He just thinks I am a "jazz player”… such rubbish!! …And concerning your mockery of the Creator, please do not make public your ignorance in such an obvious way... THE GREATEST MUSICIAN IN ALL HISTORY: J.S. BACH SAID THAT MUSIC EXISTS TO "GLORIFY GOD & TO SUBLIMATE THE HUMAN SOUL'... but of course, you might not even know who J. S. Bach is… So, I will refrain from honoring your absurdly useless, empty, & strangely biased criticism... And no, sorry, I love Hans, BUT HE IS NOT GOD... He is a wonderful human being with great talent & wonderful heart... Only God is GOD--whether you believe on Him or not--May GOD BLESS YOU sir!! I will not waist more of my time in this... Blessings to all!!
It's feel like they all look like images they use for merchandise books and magazine's, also the posters look like they are for a movie for children. But that's my opinion. The postes for all other films were fantastic, these feel like a big downgrade. Maybe that's why I don't like them.Great!Hi, how long is the average concert? Specifically the one in the Qudos Bank Aetna, Sydney Olympic Park. The first trailer had a bit of Tessa's music at the start, the second a bit of Lockdown's theme, the big kinda orchestral bit, instead of the electronic braaaaams.Got a special chance to hear a part of salazar's theme, sounds like a varied version of blackbeard's theme but it fits appropriately, very evil. You all should like it.
Woops! Made a typo. <br><br>What was used in the final trailer *wasn't* exactly what ended up being used in the film ;)Sounds like a suite<br><br>And wasn't it only the final trailer that used material from the actual score? It was Lockdown's theme. But what was used in the trailer was exactly what ended up being used in the film.@MrTweedy <br>That is true, and you do get the guitars in "Barbarian Horde" (not sure where else though).<br><br>I have to admit, as revolutionary as Gladiator was at the time, I think it's one of Zimmer's more overrated scores. Not that I necessarily think it's bad, but IMO both Last Samurai and King Arthur show a much stronger balance of themes and action writing, yet unfortunately were never as recognized by the mainstream the same way Gladiator was. That synth in the main theme! I didn't expect that. It's really good.@mpolonest123<br>Actually, there's a small hint at the "spaniard" guitar theme after the sequence where he escapes his execution (track "Homecoming" on the More Music album).

I discovered Hans Zimmer's music at a screening of Rain man, many many years ago, while I was a student. Since then I bought all his recordings. That's why having the rare privilege to see and listen to Hans in a concert in Paris was such a great pleasure.
I was absolutly living a dream during the the first part of the concert, a little less during the second part, because I am not a huge fan of the super heros movies he did recently. But Johny Marr was were, even if Hans-Zimmer.com said he will not be present (???). Fabulous musicians on stage...
I am going to see again Hans in Nantes on the 02 june 2016. Can someone in this site transfert my demand to Hans of listen in Nantes to one more track coming from his so marvelous scores of the 90's and 2000 years...
And with such a great singer as Lebo M on stage, why not Mother Africa from the Power of one ?

Ds2016-04-25 20:54:35
Yeah or "The Journey" from Tears of the Sun!! That one would sound amazing in concert, and it'd be a nice fit right after the Lion King.

Unfortunately they have a gig every 2 days (or sometimes everyday), so there's 0,001% chance they'll find the time to include another track into the show. It's not about "just playing another song", it requires a looot of preparation from all people involved...

PhilippeM2016-06-02 10:20:44
Tonight Hans will be in Nantes. I hope this concert will be as good as the Paris one. Great music and great artists again...

Be my no1.
I have never met such a charming ,engaging ,friendly and genuine
Person .
He even thanked me for coming to the concert.
Such a lovely lovely guy .
They say never meet your heroes .
I'm afraid I have to disagree with that .
Hans zimmer is one of the nicest people I've ever met .
Good for you Hanz

Absolutely'!
My husband and I also attended this tour 3 times, Graz,Vienna and Rotterdam!i was since 20 years his fan,but my husband since the day of the concert in Graz. My husband fell so much in love of Hans's music and couldn't wait for the next concert. Therefore we drove to Vienna the day after and looked for tickets in Rotterdam week later. This is the power of music!

I think Hans Zimmer is one of the great movie soundtrack composers. I was so looking forward to listen to him live on his concert tour on 09 May 2016 in Zurich at Hallenstadion. My partner and I were there and couldn't stand how loud it was. My partner complained to whoever he found first from one of the technicians, and one thing they said was 'they don't want to be involved with sound'. Anyways after the interval we tried to stay longer but we left. It's a shame. We couldn't hear the music we only heard a "sound soup", sound blending in each other into one pile. I'm sorry for Hans Zimmer, the musicians and the audience. The music was almost unrecognizable due to the bad mixing.

Ds2016-05-10 00:09:02
So either that particular location was designed like shit (it happens to many large concert halls, it wouldn't be surprising), either you've never attended any rock concert in your whole life.

But don't blame the mixing, the sound engineers working on this tour are geniuses. When I saw that concert, the sound was simply glorious, perfectly mixed. Loud, yes, but each layer was audible.

Hanna Klenk2016-05-10 09:11:07
Yes, Zurich Hallenstadion is well known for a shit acoustic and I did attend a rock concert before and Hans Zimmer's music is not a rock music if you know what I mean.

Ds2016-05-10 11:05:13
In that case that's too bad... Zimmer's music deserves so much more than a shitty acoustic. But in such conditions, sound engineers are no magicians, you can't blame them or blame Zimmer...

As for the rock music part, Hans has always been a rocker. Of course he uses much more instruments than the average rock band, and borrows elements from many genres, but the spirit and feel of his music is closer to rock music than symphonic music.

Rock music2016-05-10 20:49:31
Well I have seen couple of rock acts in Zurich hallen stadion and those have been OK.

But Hans Zimmer was awesome yesterday ! Wow, just wow... But yeahs like Ds said, it's close to rock and loud. I know acoustic isn't great there, but Hans, his orchestra and sound engineers did a great job.

Sad to hear you couldn't enjoy it.

Mk2016-05-11 05:43:04
THE soup is served i guess. listening on YouTube from different locations and more or less like phones quality. I hear that THE mix is pretty good, You can hear everybody who's playing. That Some acoustics are really bad in Some locations yes there are huge differences, not to blame THE guys to Who do THE mix, .(play less loud?? No that wouldn't work since THE problem is THE problem stadium, then iTS like You get A beer whats only 1/3 has of filling, incomplete feeling.. Thing that would upset me is bright or harsh sound.... This has never happened with Hans as h&#232; dont like that as well. I like to know more why You left ? Is pretty serious to me ;))

It was such an honor to see Hans and Co. perform live, the performance of "Marry Me" from POTC had me in tears.

Does anyone know how long the concert is?

Laurens2016-05-29 17:44:16
Ahoy schedueled the show from 20.00-22.50, but it took until about 23.15 including the Inception after piece... Depends a bit on how quick the audience takes their seats. The Dutchies seemed a bit slow as some came running in as the first piece had already been played. Hans even commented on their laziness ;)

Hans is scoring Sean Penn's new movie called The Last Face. It's coming it in Can in one month! Very excited about this news and about JNH scoring Fantastic Beasts:)

Ds2016-05-19 21:53:23
"The Last Face" premieres tomorrow in Cannes Festival. I hope we get some feedback on the score. And I hope there'll be a release date!

Ds2016-05-20 17:19:58
So, the only bit I found so far is from The Hollywood Reporter:

"handsome widescreen visuals of the wounded African landscapes — relentlessly accompanied by composer Hans Zimmer's extended lecture in musical solemnity"

Not sure what this means exactly, but it'll probably be good! :-p

Hybrid Soldier2016-05-20 19:31:59
The film was unanimously slammed at Cannes. Looks like an epic failure in every way... lol

...2016-05-20 20:44:17
Yes apparently. Doesn't mean the score couldn't be good though;)

Ds2016-05-20 23:07:29
Usually with Cannes you have to think the other way around. I hate most of the movies they love, so I might like the movies they hate... :-p

Hope the score gets a release...

Zimson2016-05-21 00:25:05
It's probably extremely pretentious with a strong liberal bias.

lib2016-05-21 01:05:44
Looks crap but I'd like to know what this so-called "liberal bias" is.

Edmund Meinerts2016-05-21 02:00:45
"extended lecture in musical solemnity" = The Thin Red Line-esque, I bet. I'm a little intrigued (this assignment sure feels like it came the frick out of nowhere), but that's not exactly my favorite mode of Hans'...so long as it doesn't turn out like 12 Years a Slave, though, everything will be OK.

I was in this epic performance in Vienna . It is very emotional for me and makes me long thoughtful. Thanks to Hans Zimmer and all of its participating musicians .
PS: we had an exclusive premiere of Inferno! Yeahhh

Ds2016-05-16 12:02:00
Inferno?? Whaaaaat? :-o :-o :-o

Ds2016-05-16 12:10:40
There's a video on Youtube claiming to be "The Da Vinci Code - Inferno", but actually it's just the same piece that was played at every concert :-p

brownhawk 2016-05-16 12:40:49
I know, but Hans told it's new sound from Inferno. The sound was the same theme but a little bit different.

Ds2016-05-16 12:40:56
Actually brownhawk is right. Zimmer says "It's not Da Vinci Code, it's the same theme, but please ladies and gentlemen, let us give you Inferno".

That's funny because in earlier concerts he was clearly speaking about The Da Vinci Code before playing that exact same piece.

I wonder why he decided to change it in the middle of the tour. Also I wonder if they updated the programme booklet :-p

But every time I try to upload it, it get's blocked in most countries around the world. I also can't find any upload of 'The End' on Youtube, anybody know why this particular song is the only one from Hans Zimmer/The Dark Knight Rises that's being blocked on Youtube?

DavidS2016-05-14 23:59:07
The song isn't available on Spotify too :/
Maybe the song is part of a digital/bonus/deluxe edition. And those special editions will be blocked usually. Don't know why but it is the same for some Interstellar songs.

I attended on the Budapest concert and I must say it was a great overall experience. It is very visible that each and every person who was involved in the production including musicians, lighting, sound contributed strongly to maximize the experience.
As for my personal taste I enjoyed most the first half of the show that was more traditional compared to the second part that turned into a rock band concert for me - except for the extra piece. :)
Given the absolutely superb sound engineering that created a blasting soundstage I would have been happy just listening to the original film scores, but the show became much more with variations.
Great work, I hope it was not the only one! :-D
