Good questions....

I got nothing...Sorry!I just want to say that if CHAPPiEs score had been done with an orchestra or were to be remade with a live orchestra it would instantly become a hit.I have some questions about the score. If anyone has any answers or thoughts about these feel free to discuss below. Thanks!

Is the action motif in "Abduction" and "The Greatest Mission of All" Hot Rod's theme? It plays when he abducts Viviane and also when he and Bumblebee attack the Nazis.

Is the action motif in "Viviane Follows Merlin" the TRF theme? I don't think so, as it's not played anywhere else in the film, but I can't figure out whose theme it would be. Check out these timestamps for the motif, which pops up a lot throughout the track - 0:13, 3:54, 4:16, 4:32, 5:03, 5:37, 5:53 and 6:10.

Who does the new theme in "Purity of Heart" belong to? It is also used in the "Sir Edmund Burton Suite", as well as "Sacrifice", "Seglass Ni Tonday" and "Cogman Sings". My best guess is it's Burton's theme, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

And lastly, are the tracks "Vivian" and "Running Out Of Tomorrows" played at all in the film?haha hybrid :D made my day :) lolI honestly haven't checked and don't plan on doing it anytime soon ! lol
Haha.... a yes or no was very hard for you?!... But thanks for the great information :)... lolYeah, Chappie really is one of the Z-Man's best scores as of late. For all the talk he does of innovating, both TASM2 and Chappie are pretty fresh as compared to BVS/Inferno/Dunkirk.

And yes, the film itself is a hot mess...Why... why don't you check yourself with the film ? I assure you it's not that hard ! Might take some time but if you wanna find out... lol01. Main Titles (02:55)
02. Grandfather's House (05:13)
03. Bedtime Story (02:17)
04. saw chappie last week for the first time. what a bad movie...jesus...the score is okay but nothing specialAre you kidding me? Chappie I consider MILES above Dunkirk, and even Inferno last year...

Best of 2015....They better included a track with the new variations of the Measter theme. Last episode agai. Had some great new music. Can't wait for this album.I'll never understand why so many people dismiss Chappie. I think it's a brilliant score, as interesting as it is entertaining. It's very melodic in a typical HZ fashion, the electronics sounds partly modern, partly old school, and it's got some fantastic cues. Really, one of my favorites HZ scores in the last few years. Most amazing soundtrack in a long time and better than the film.

Does exists a CD-Album from this Score or is this Soundtrack Digital Download only?

Hi Hybrid, not sure where to post this, but BBC recently released a preview to Planet Earth II, composed by Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea, Jasha Klebe.

https://www.facebook.com/bbcearth/videos/1253466768020210/

Do you have more information about this? I heard that Zimmer created the main theme/title theme.

Any news about the longer release of the score?

Anonymous2016-04-08 09:55:45
No, and there won't be a longer release. Enjoy what you already have. :D

I'm pretty sure the theme here is exactly how HZ started his "Moody Bruce New Hero Suite..." :P

Beautiful! ... But why is this release so short? Is there only 19min of music in this whole series? I d doubt that :-p

Hybrid Soldier2015-11-21 11:04:50
There's a CD planned in december... Madison Gate Records says this is an "EP"... So I guess the CD will be longer... Lorne will as usual put some more on his website as well...

Wait & see ! lol

Evenstar2015-11-21 18:12:08
good news Hybrid, thanks

Johannes2015-11-22 09:47:28
Hey Hybrid Soldier, sorry for asking, i saw there some questions about A.D. so i would like to know if there gonna be full release or more soundtrack on Lorne´s web site. Thank you!

Kalmi2015-12-26 09:17:43
Hello, does anyone know what happened to the Sony CD planned to be released on 4th December? I can't find it anywhere. It is still listed at most sites but it is "out of stock". However I haven't found any info on that it had actually been released.

Lejti reply Replies: 10 || 2015-11-13 23:36:26
Lorne Balfe did 13 Hours (Michael Bay movie) score, Hybrid any information about the reason why Balfe replaced Jablonsky? I know it never was official Jablonsky doing it, but I was thinking a Bay movie will have a Jablonsky score.

Ds2015-11-14 00:43:36
... and Hans Zimmer is listed as executive music producer. Balfe + Zimmer + Bay, I think we'll get a very good score!!

Hybrid Soldier2015-11-14 01:07:00
Who knows what happened... Maybe Jablonsky dropped, maybe Jablonsky was never in, maybe he was fired... That's life lol...

Ds2015-11-14 01:19:17
After so many collaborations, I don't think Bay would have to fire Jablonsky. Surely they came to a point where they understand perfectly each other, Jabs should know how to please Bay. I'd bet on a scheduling issue.

Hybrid Soldier2015-11-14 01:21:57
Or maybe Steve had no interest in doing Lone Survivor again ? Especially after on that one only 20% of his whole score was used...

I don't know... But well in the end Lorne co-scored 2 films for Bay already, they know each other as well...

Anonymous2015-11-14 01:25:57
TF2 & TF3?

Hybrid Soldier2015-11-14 01:28:23
1 & 2... Especially 1...

Ds2015-11-14 01:33:21
Hmmm that's interesting. Btw, do you have an idea of the kind of role Hans played (plays?) in this project?

Hybrid Soldier2015-11-14 01:34:54
Probably like on Terminator... Some synth programming to help "define" the sound, giving constant feedback on the cues, going to all the meetings with production & stuff... That kind of things.

Joshua 2015-11-14 04:45:41
Man this is gonna be weird, Jablonsky, to some extent has worked on every Bay film since Armageddon, 18 years ago! That's a pretty long partnership, hope its just a scheduling thing.

-,-2015-11-14 15:04:01
Please no Lrne Balfe for 13 Hours. He is one of the worst composer from RC. I don`t think, michael bay fired jablonsky, he composed the score for tmnt2 and deep water horizont. i hope he came for transformers 5 back. urgh i dont like lorne balfe!

New Hans & Lorne ! :)

Felix2015-11-08 21:04:26
Great!

Edmund Meinerts2015-11-08 22:46:19
So, new Lorne plus a theme Hans banged out on his keyboards one evening? ;)

(Just a bit of satire, guys...not meant harshly!)

Mike2015-11-12 20:18:24
Well, Edmund, you have a point... with the exception of Megamind and The Bible, most official Hans/Lorne scores have Hans doing the main theme, Lorne doing everything else. Nothing new there. ;)

...2015-11-12 20:52:12
Well at least Hans coves co-credit to Lorne. Brian Tyler is scoring loads of Shows and of course he just did the theme but he's the only one credited.

Hybrid Soldier2015-11-12 20:55:44
That's very true... I could name a few projects he did where someone else did more than half, and yet got a shitty credit... lol But I won't !!! lol

Edmund Meinerts2015-11-12 22:18:59
Why not, Hybrid? :b

Dudu2015-11-12 22:57:06
So...that's 15 projects for Lorne this year. When does that guy sleep lol??has to be the hardest worker in the industry. Can't wait til he gets his well deserved big break!

NM2015-11-13 02:15:31
Lorne is incredible.

Edmund Meinerts2015-11-13 14:12:35
His output is certainly admirable, but sometimes I can't help but wonder whether he puts quantity over quality. He's not a bad composer, far from it, and he's done some things I think are really quite solid - but the majority of his 12-15 scores a year fall into the "competent and forgettable" zone for me. Some of his additional work with Hans notwithstanding, he hasn't yet done anything I'd consider truly great. Composers like Jablonsky or HGW are more hit-and-miss, but their "hits" are much higher than Lorne's best work in my estimation and it makes me anticipate their work far more than Lorne's bi-weekly releases.

If Lorne had a year where he put out 1-2 scores at the level of Transformers or Steamboy or Sinbad or Kingdom of Heaven, that would impress me far more than yet another year of 15 two-to-three star scores.

Do you know when will be released A.D. score please? Thank you!
