Beautiful! ... But why is this release so short? Is there only 19min of music in this whole series? I d doubt that :-p
There's a CD planned in december... Madison Gate Records says this is an "EP"... So I guess the CD will be longer... Lorne will as usual put some more on his website as well...
Wait & see ! lol
good news Hybrid, thanks
Hey Hybrid Soldier, sorry for asking, i saw there some questions about A.D. so i would like to know if there gonna be full release or more soundtrack on Lorne´s web site. Thank you!
Hello, does anyone know what happened to the Sony CD planned to be released on 4th December? I can't find it anywhere. It is still listed at most sites but it is "out of stock". However I haven't found any info on that it had actually been released.
Lorne Balfe did 13 Hours (Michael Bay movie) score, Hybrid any information about the reason why Balfe replaced Jablonsky? I know it never was official Jablonsky doing it, but I was thinking a Bay movie will have a Jablonsky score.
... and Hans Zimmer is listed as executive music producer. Balfe + Zimmer + Bay, I think we'll get a very good score!!
Who knows what happened... Maybe Jablonsky dropped, maybe Jablonsky was never in, maybe he was fired... That's life lol...
After so many collaborations, I don't think Bay would have to fire Jablonsky. Surely they came to a point where they understand perfectly each other, Jabs should know how to please Bay. I'd bet on a scheduling issue.
Or maybe Steve had no interest in doing Lone Survivor again ? Especially after on that one only 20% of his whole score was used...
I don't know... But well in the end Lorne co-scored 2 films for Bay already, they know each other as well...
TF2 & TF3?
1 & 2... Especially 1...
Hmmm that's interesting. Btw, do you have an idea of the kind of role Hans played (plays?) in this project?
Probably like on Terminator... Some synth programming to help "define" the sound, giving constant feedback on the cues, going to all the meetings with production & stuff... That kind of things.
Man this is gonna be weird, Jablonsky, to some extent has worked on every Bay film since Armageddon, 18 years ago! That's a pretty long partnership, hope its just a scheduling thing.
Please no Lrne Balfe for 13 Hours. He is one of the worst composer from RC. I don`t think, michael bay fired jablonsky, he composed the score for tmnt2 and deep water horizont. i hope he came for transformers 5 back. urgh i dont like lorne balfe!
So, new Lorne plus a theme Hans banged out on his keyboards one evening? ;)
(Just a bit of satire, guys...not meant harshly!)
Well, Edmund, you have a point... with the exception of Megamind and The Bible, most official Hans/Lorne scores have Hans doing the main theme, Lorne doing everything else. Nothing new there. ;)
Well at least Hans coves co-credit to Lorne. Brian Tyler is scoring loads of Shows and of course he just did the theme but he's the only one credited.
That's very true... I could name a few projects he did where someone else did more than half, and yet got a shitty credit... lol But I won't !!! lol
Why not, Hybrid? :b
So...that's 15 projects for Lorne this year. When does that guy sleep lol??has to be the hardest worker in the industry. Can't wait til he gets his well deserved big break!
Lorne is incredible.
His output is certainly admirable, but sometimes I can't help but wonder whether he puts quantity over quality. He's not a bad composer, far from it, and he's done some things I think are really quite solid - but the majority of his 12-15 scores a year fall into the "competent and forgettable" zone for me. Some of his additional work with Hans notwithstanding, he hasn't yet done anything I'd consider truly great. Composers like Jablonsky or HGW are more hit-and-miss, but their "hits" are much higher than Lorne's best work in my estimation and it makes me anticipate their work far more than Lorne's bi-weekly releases.
If Lorne had a year where he put out 1-2 scores at the level of Transformers or Steamboy or Sinbad or Kingdom of Heaven, that would impress me far more than yet another year of 15 two-to-three star scores.
