Wow!!! Howard Shore writing music for VG that's new for me. Zimmer, Shore and Balfe together in the same album maybe is 1 in 1000.I finally got this after years of searching. It's definitely the best representation of the score I believe. I have some questions about a few tracks. "Waiting for Judgement" and "You Simply Won't Die". I'm assuming these are parts that were replaced in the film?Like I said, this is all just off the top of my head. The titles I either made up, guessed, or pulled from the cue names. And of course there is probably still some missing...Can’t seem to find it, I had it stored on an old computer which may not have backed up. Off the top of my head though (perhaps Hybrid can clarify the actual names, I’m just guessing here):

Curse of The Black Pearl:
Main Pirates Tune
Will and Elizabeth
Turner Theme
Jack Cello Theme
Jack Motif
Jack Hero Tune
Curse Theme
Pirates March
Skeleton Dance
Barbossa Motif
Barbossa Theme 2 (?)
Action Motif
Tortuga Stinger

Dead Man’s Chest:
New Jack Theme
New Jack Action Theme
Beckett Motif
Davy Jones Theme
Kraken Theme
Cannibal Island Theme
Tia Dalma Theme

At World’s End:
Pirate Lord of Singapore
Beckett Theme
Beckett Theme 2 (Betrayal Tune)
World’s End Theme
New Love Theme
Hoist The Colors Tune
Duduk Tune

On Stranger Tides:
Mermaids/Fountain Theme
Blackbeard Theme
Angelica Theme
Spanish Tunempolonest123, is there a way I could read your breakdown? I would be really interested on taking a look at it

And yeah, I know there are a lot of themes and their associations are really confusing specially during the first movie, I guess because of the rush job. It's funny how as the saga progressed theme associations became clearer, at least most of the times.
oh wow finally... and I like how they finally gave Lorne creditFinally this gets some sort of release outside of China !Well it's complicated cause on the first film it was done such in a hurry that some themes became more "situation themes" than "character themes". But yeah, there's a loooooooooooot !I did a breakdown for the hell of it a while back, the sheer amount of themes/motifs is astounding, not quite as many as Lord of the Rings or Star Wars but very close!

It’s tricky to really place some of the theme meanings in as much as they were repurposed for the other films through temp tracking.I was recently revisiting all of this scores and I was wondering...

Could anyone help me identify all of the themes from the whole saga and tell mewhat they represent?

I already got a lot of them like the Kraken, Davy Jones, Mermaids, the main theme, etc. But others are still a bit confusing on what they represent, like for example the theme Neely and Badelt created in the first movie that were used in the following movies.

Thanks in advance!
why no cd release?Haha! Wear the mask. how fitting.yap. and all of the alternates :PI want that "Final Confrontation" cue so much! Most of them are done actually and should have been released a while ago !
Hybrid why is HZ scoring so many films lately, has he placed a bet with himself or something? lol

Looking forward to it. Boss Baby was a really fun score.I'm confident he would care. Not saying he has any control over it.
I don't think Mondo should be making any money from this release. It ought to be canceled and removed from their website.

It's more than just a tempo issue. The tone is entirely off, and parts that were once pleasing to hear, now sound awful to my ears.

Seems Mondo is lacking the proper quality control. Hopefully this is a wake up call for them. If enough people avoid buying this album or return it, they'll get the message. I like to see capitalism work properly.
Maybe Pope is involved.Great news! The first one is fun, not Zimmer’s best animated score imo but it’s still pretty enjoyable. I almost wish they got Conrad Pope involved again, “Love” is one of the most beautiful cues of the past few years. The first one was quite pretty good.

Just realized that "Eddie jumps the 90m" cue has a different mix on the album than in the movie. In the film there's this great choir section near the end (which works great with everyone standing there with their mouths open). Must've been a last minute addition, a shame really.

FunnyML2016-08-31 08:22:51
No, Varése trimmed down the reuse fees again by leaving the choir part out like they did on Giacchino's Star Trek.

Well that fuckin sucks lol

Thanks! That's quite a bit of Jason Soudah.

This score is absolutely amazing! Fantastic 80's flair to it, cant wait for the release.

Hybrid Soldier2016-03-02 12:31:29
Yes I agree totally ! I added an extract ! :)

Ds2016-03-02 15:21:54
I agree so much. Very enjoyable score, put a big smile on my face!

And reminded me A LOT of some earlier HZ scores (like Days of Thunder).

JackieStewart2016-03-02 15:58:52
This is amazing!

Hale2016-03-02 17:06:50
Great score.Like Ds said it, a true Days of Thunder 'flavour.
Very nice to return into this kind of music.

LP2016-03-02 17:26:23
OMG, this is just a huge throwback to my childhood. LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!

rockhound2016-03-02 17:41:50
i love the extract. wonderful theme and really nice old school flair. im really looking forward to the whole album.

Mike2016-03-04 19:18:25
Yeah...this definitely doesn't sound like a 2016 score (which, honestly, is a refreshing change)!

rockhound2016-03-08 20:09:34
when the second part in the suite starts, the synths sound so much like Days Of Thunder, also the drums. i love it.

joshua2016-05-03 13:09:55
no i think its rubbish.

Edmund Meinerts reply Replies: 1 || 2016-03-02 17:46:39
Based on this extract I can safely say this makes a far better Deadpool score than the actual Deadpool score.

Ds2016-03-02 19:26:52
Hahaha so true. But anyway seeing how under-mixed the score was in the movie, I'm glad they didn't waste a great score for it!
