Way too many songs.
Lorne Balfe score nailed it.Great to see Bay working with Balfe now.This is an RCP website, those scores aren't by RCP composers...Power anthems ???? Obviously you haven’t watched the movie.They would not fit in this movie.

Balfe’s score is really cool and not expected.Already listened to it 4 times!I agree completely.

The movie was awesome, the score works perfectly, and the only thing I didn't like was the use of songs. Too much of them. Songs rarely work during intense action scenes. They distract.

But every time the score started, I liked it. Bay may be known as the big action guy, but when it comes to scoring the more intimate/emotional moments, he and the composer (no matter who he is) always do a good job.Greenaway for President! :))
I agree with Knight.

It seems some peeps were expecting power anthems left and right. Yes, this is a big movie, but not a "Transformers-big" movie. I didn't like the use of source music (I hate songs in action movies) but when Balfe's work popped up I noticed it right away.

The more emotional cues were definitely the most memorable.What a fantastic soundtrack.
It’s totally crazy and works brilliantly in the film.
The bit emotional sections are very classic Bay but Balfe’s electronic weirdness is very unique.
It’s nothing like Balfe’s Dark Materials BUT why I’m earth should it be !
10/10Gavin should be listed as conductorBecause Ice Age was composed by David Newman and Collision Course was composed by John DebneyWhen i heard just the sound clips, i thought wtf. Sounds like the worst score, a michael bay movie ever had. Then i listened to the whole album and i have to say, there are some pretty cool tracks. I really like the electronic rhythmic stuff. Welcome to florence is awesome. The emotional moments are nice, but standard balfe stuff. In the movie, the music works really good. I think this music style is the only style, that works in THIS movie. And as hybrid says a mish mash of score and songs. The movie itself is.....strange. but at least the action rocks as hell.
If "The Meltdown," "Dawn of The Dinosaurs" and "Continental Drift" are added, then how come "Ice Age" and "Collision Course" aren't?I haven't heard the album yet but there isn't much score in the film. It's like Bad Boys II meets Domino in terms of editing, songs everywhere (19 sourced songs used), short cues... Hell there's even a 13 Hours cue tracked in the film ("Getting Aboard The Plane")."Second time"... lolAnother awsome score by lorne balfe. I really like the film 6 underground directed by michael bay, is very awsome and intense and i begin to hear the score composed by lorne balfe, and its phenomenal and his second time working with michael bay since 13 hours, which i like lorne balfe's score too. Balfe's work is really inspiring in his film score.I don't expect Lorne to make a masterpiece with each movie, but it is true that most of her films are action candies, and I can't understand how she can deliver 6 underground and then make His dark materials. It seems that within Lorne there are a thousand different composers. And I don't know what to expect from Lorne again.
Can't help noticing not one, but two Zimmer titles in here.... Tracks 14 and 16. lol.What is most disappointing is that this is a Michael Bay movie with a score being so bad. Historically his movies have fantastic scores by either Hans, Steve Jablonsky, and even Lorne Balfe. But this is hands down the worst Michael Bay score I’ve ever heard.

It’s functional, yes, but nothing compared to 13 Hours, any of the Transformers movies, The Rock, Pearl Harbor, etc. I definitely had high hopes for another good “power anthem” score... and the only cues that are any good are just Time ripoffs.

Highly disappointing.Again, if we have to expect every piece of work of one composer is have to be as good like his others pieces of work, that's pretty underwhelming and impossible.

Yeah, 6 Underground is not a good score by any means (neither Gemini Man, but is far more listenable), but works perfectly in the hiperbolic movie.I expected a lot from this score, and the truth is that it left me cold. Honestly, I think it is Bay's fault, Balfe has shown that he is capable of doing everything, but here it gives the feeling of being covered. Again, Balfe must focus on fewer projects and the projects he accepts are of quality.There are speculations about the track "Til Death Do Us Part "as being composed by Brandon Campbell. Can anyone confirm whether it was Djawadi or Campbell who composed it?

HANS ZIMMER LIVE 2017

Tickets & Info at HansZimmerLive.com

THE MAN

Hans Zimmer’s interest in music began early when he moved to the UK and met established film composer Stanley Myers where they collaborated on films such as My Beautiful Laundrette. In 1988, Hans’ solo work for Rain Man earned him his first Academy Award Nomination for Best Original Score.

From this point Hans has scored more than 120 films which have, combined, grossed over 24 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. He has been honored with an Academy Award®, two Golden Globes®, three Grammys®, an American Music Award and a Tony® Award. His most recent Academy Award nomination for Interstellar marks his 10th career Oscar nomination. In 2003, ASCAP presented him with the prestigious Henry Mancini Award for Lifetime Achievement for his impressive and influential body of work. He also received his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010. In 2014, Hans was honored with the Zurich Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award.

THE SHOW

The 2017 tour comes back by popular demand from the 2016 shows across Europe. The sell out shows were rapturously received by critics and the public alike. Incredibly in a Hollywood career that has spanned decades, these were Hans’s first full shows and were made even more special by the appearance of two of Zimmer’s collaborators guitarist Johnny Marr and Pharrell Williams.

Like the Hammersmith shows, ‘Hans Zimmer Live On Tour’ will be a visual spectacular designed and lit by the world-renowned lighting designer Marc Brickman. Marc has worked with everyone from Pink Floyd to Nine Inch Nails to Barbra Streisand and is responsible for the lighting of the Empire State Building in New York. The Hans Zimmer show will not only sound unlike any other it will also look unlike any other

I just found out, that Johnny Marr's Son - NILE MARR Will Tour with Hans Zimmer on tour 2017. So no Johnny Marr Unfortunately But my guess his Son Will be as good as the legend!

Ds2017-03-09 00:41:59
Or maybe both Marr will be present?

Mk2017-03-09 20:33:17
No, Johnny is going to work on A new album... his Son is his replacement.

Liz reply Replies: 0 || 2017-03-07 20:07:48
Does anyone know if they're going to play Manchester?

ei18 reply Replies: 2 || 2017-02-21 06:03:56
Will his Coachella performance be different from his other US tour dates? In his interview with Billboard it says it will be 90% Christopher Nolan, but wasn't if this was a mistake or not? Do you know anything Hybrid?

Ds2017-02-21 18:30:03
Well that's strange. 90% seems a lot.

What they'll get in Coachella will be, for sure:
Pirates of the Caribbean (maybe not the "Marry Me" segment)
Lion King
The Dark Knight
Inception

Probably Interstellar as well, judging by the interview.
They could possibly include Man Of Steel and/or Amazing Spider Man 2 (even though many people don't know it and hate the movie).
They should definitely include Crimson Tide.
And Angels & Demons because the arrangement is so spectacular, but I don't know, far from his most famous score.

Can't wait to see some videos on youtube!

Mephariel2017-02-28 00:16:25
If it is 90% Nolan, I wonder if he will give us a sneak peek of Dunkirk.

Hi. Can someone please tell me if this concert in Europe will be any different than the concert from last year or not? Does anybody have a tracklist for 2017?

Michael Poleschuck reply Replies: 3 || 2017-02-14 16:43:18
By the way, what do you think, will are there new faces in the band? I wish to see all Zimmer's proteges on the one stage.

Hybrid Soldier2017-02-14 16:49:33
There will be quite a few changes in the band, for many reasons...

Michael Poleschuck2017-02-14 16:52:24
A few changes? And it's a secret, for now, right?

Kristoff2017-02-14 23:21:07

I saw HZ at Wembley last April. Any plans heading to Boston, USA?

Jayne reply Replies: 1 || 2017-02-10 11:12:02
Hi, is it possible to say if the wonderful percussion theme from True Romance will be performed at Wembley concert? My daughter chose the music to walk down the aisle at her marriage last May. I spend many an our in my car listening and reliving the experience. I'd love to buy the family tickets so we can all experience it again. Many thanks

I'd put good money on them playing it. They did at the concerts last year and in 2014. It goes perfectly with Rain Man and both go down very well with audiences. Hans seemed to have so much fun on the drums too!
They never confirm the set list, as I guess things can easily change, but I can't see them not playing it at Wembley!

I finally created some proper page for the new tour !

All comments & stuff, right here !

Joshua2017-02-09 19:07:32
Like the page Hybrid! Will the "Revealed" show be different from the "Live" show, or are they pretty much the same show?

Hybrid Soldier2017-02-09 19:17:00
It's the same thing, the production just decided to use the HZR name in the US / Oceania because it's the first time he performs there, while he already did in Europe...

Joshua2017-02-09 19:52:29
Awesome, thanks for the info. Can't wait!

Raul2017-02-10 07:30:25
Hi Hybrid,
Is there any chance that Hans comes to México soon?
