This is a pretty dumb article. Zimmer isn't who needs to be stopped, it's the Hollywood execs who ask composers to copy him rather than develop their own original voices. We've heard from Steamboy what someone like Jablonsky can do, but 90% of the time when he gets hired it's to be a cheaper version of Zimmer. That's what needs to be stopped, not Zimmer himself.Also, even before the score is released for Blade Runner 2049 they all say it's going to be bad because Zimmer is scoring it instead of a composer who, let's be honest never proved he could do a movie with this kind of scale. Let's wait for the score the released maybe it's going to be great.StopHansZimmer ?? That does also mean stop Lorne Balfe, Benjamin Wallfisch, Steve Jablonksy, Geoff Zanelli, Henry Jackman, Dominic Lewis, etc... It suited the movie so well. The orchestral scores suited The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons in their ways very well. I would like to know how Hans Zimmer would change the main themes in a midway between Inferno and The Da Vinci Code.Given how much of a regression Inferno was relative to Angels & Demons, I'm not particularly interested in hearing another Zimmer score in the franchise. Then again, perhaps Wallfisch would be involved and bring more classical elements.So, Ron Jones used a live orchestra to compose and conduct the original score for the 1987 Ducktales TV Series.<br><br>So I think Dom uses Kontakt samples since it's the new TV standard.<br>I wish they had enough money in the budget to use a live orchestra like Ron does with Family Guy and Alf Clausen using a 35 piece orchestra for The Simpsons.

I am enjoying this soundtrack a lot. Lots of very nice Middle-Eastern instruments and tone colours throughout. Only things that are holding it back from being as good as Uncharted 4 are memorable themes and no real orchestra (just orchestral samples). I understand that not being able to have the score recorded by a real orchestra is not Henry's fault, but it does detract from the overall sound and impact of the music (in a few areas). However, Henry does do a good job using other ambient sounds and pulses to cover up noticeably synthetic parts, which I think works well and is not too much of a distraction. A solid 3.5 / 5 from me.
