No. It’s a boys choir. S&K bros is a girl’s choirSeems like Scala & Kolacny Brothers. In what way is it "obvious", exactly, that Djawadi had more influence on that Training cue than Zimmer? It's basically just a statement of Zimmer's theme, and doesn't really sound notably "Djawadi-esque" to me in any way. Thanks for the credits updateA bit of who did what...
Lorne also confirmed that he took charge of Mr.Charles, and without saying that Lorne was on the good side of Score in general, so his influence was substantially high.Hybrid confirmed that training is composed by Ramin and Hans and it is obvious that Ramin's influence is superior to that of Hans.are we expecting the score for dark phoenix to be released in a week or so, if the movie itself drops early june? Not as simply as that.... Training is Ramin's arrangement of a Hans theme, and the core of Mr. Charles when the Fischer theme isn't playing is a Hans idea, too, as far as I know. Take the Zimmer out and those moments wouldn't be the same.I think Balfe working with Nolan would have done a great job
Bob,The Training is basically Ramin Djawadi and Mr.Charles is BalfeI hope these two team up again. Zimmer's score is the main driving force for some memorable scenes. Just a few<br>Batman Begins-The Training<br>TDK- Joker crash the party, Gordon's speech and ending<br>Inception - Time, Mr.Charles, <br>TKDR - the climb, imagine the fire and orphan<br>Interstellar-Stay, Docking, coward, mountain<br>Dunkirk - well the entire movieJustin Hurwitz I can see. I enjoyed La La Land and First Man. But Both Hurwitz and Göransson are several notches above Lorne Balfe. <br><br>I think 80/100 directors would rather work with Göransson than Balfe.I really believe that Nolan has made a mistake as a composer.I think Lorne Balfe, David Julyan or Justin Hurwitz would be much better options than Ludwig Goransson.Interesting news. <br><br>Geoff Zanelli is one of those composers who I’ve loved his additional music over his solo efforts, Pirates 5 excluded. I hope he gets a chance to write some great fantasy music for this, regardless if he reuses JNH’s themes or not.
I think I am the only one, who would be glad about David Julyan return.<br><br>I really like his music for early Nolan's films, especially Insomnia, and it's what i can call an "atmospheric experience".<br><br>Don't know how his music fits for espionage timetraveling movie, but, for me, i'st would be something interesting to hear.@mpolonest123: those Pemberton scores are indeed pure gold, very cool on album but insanely good in the movie. My favorite is still his King Arthur, that was a beast of a score that stuck with the movie like glue and really enhanced Guy Ritchie's dark, twisted, trippy vision.*3 thingsSure, but there's two things to consider. <br>1). Pirates has such an iconic sound that it'd be really stupid for them to suddenly abandon it at #5. Especially when we hired the guy who has worked on the previous 4. 2). Maleficent, as successful as it was to warrant a sequel, isn't quite as well known in the score department, despite being well received by those who have heard it. 3). Because Zanelli worked on all Pirates, he had enough familiarity with the sounds and motifs that he knew where to go once he led the ship. In Maleficent's case, he's taking over from a previous composer, and is working with a director who likely only knows his work on POTC5. As such, there's no knowing yet if he might be compelled to continue on from JNH, or if it's decided he just does his own thing.<br><br>I'm happy that Geoff at the very least has a safe career at Disney, considering two of their recent live action successes has had him involved. However, considering I hear his recently work hasn't been his best, JNH likely would've benefited from returning to a world that had some of his best material after he wasn't given the opportunity to do so with Glass. As such, it really is a severely missed opportunity, even if newer blood is getting more opportunities.Just listening to this again. It really is a best of both score. What I think is so great, is that you can hear both of the brothers' own voice but they blend so well together!! Really really great score!<br><br>It's a really remarkable score, the swifts in tone between dramatic and jazz is top-notch. It's higher on favorite list from 2019 already, than I thought it would ever be.<br><br>Give me more Gregson-Williams brothers scores!!!!!!

THE SHOW

From April 2018 “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration“ goes on tour throughout Germany, accompanied by longstanding friends and colleagues of the rock star amongst film composers, with Hans Zimmer acting as curator and musical director, even though he himself will not perform at these concerts.

“The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration” pulls out all the stops: In addition to visually striking projections of film sequences, a symphony orchestra under the direction of Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack conductor Gavin Greenaway creates an intense and unforgettable concert experience which – in contrast to “Hans Zimmer Live” – celebrates Zimmer’s compositions for large orchestra.

Together with a choir and top musicians from Hans Zimmer’s talent factory, such as Pedro Eustache, the flautist from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and solo violinist Rusana Panfili, it creates a magical sound cosmos, with the hypnotic voice of Lisa Gerrard, whose hymn “Now We Are Free” from Gladiator remains unforgettable, floating above it all.

“The World of Hans Zimmer” – an unforgettable audio-visual concert experience.

Presented by Semmel Concerts, Tomek Productions & RCI Global, LLC.

Hybrid, you said Hans dropped The Last Samurai for now... do you have any idea what tracks he used, though?

Mephariel2018-05-08 22:50:03
Thank you so much for the list. I could be wrong, but from what I seen on YouTube, I think:

The Lion King: This Land / Stampede / Mufasa Dies (could be Under the Stars) / end of The Rightful King

Also, Inception seems like a waste of a performance. The Time piece isn't even the one on the album.

Jonathan Rochat2018-05-11 09:54:43
Mephariel you’re right for the Lion King. in fact I was thinking of « Stampede » from the original album that includes Mufasa Death. Time and Dark Knight were maybe the less good track of the show. IMO, I was surprised by the amount and quality of the Da Vinci Code suite. More than 15 minutes of wonderful music, included the « Poisoned Chalice » track, one of my best Zimmer cue of the « 2000 » .

Mephariel2018-05-11 17:37:33
I still wish Zimmer would play the original version of Chevalier de Sangreal rather than the Inferno version. He played the Inferno version during his Hans Zimmer Live tour and because this tour is more symphonic, I am hoping for the complete original version instead.

Hybrid, Hollywood in Vienna just announced that Zimmer will be receiving the Max Steiner award. Do you know if the Hollywood in Vienna program the same as the The World of Hans Zimmer program? If it is, King Arthur is confirmed to be in the program as well.

Olive2018-04-23 02:28:01
Probably not. The two are indepedent events.

Mephariel2018-04-23 05:30:24
They are independent events, but I think they are working in conjunction with each other. I based this on the description on the Vienna website. Their program is called The World of Hans Zimmer and some of the arrangements will be written by Zimmer himself. That leads me to believe this year's gala is a bit different and is just a stop for Zimmer's tour.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 8 || 2018-04-13 15:28:05
So, since people have asked questions about this.

Yes, it is different from the tour, no Hans & his band are not on stage (some of the musicians are back, though).

And YES it's a HZ show, Hans curated, rebuilt & selected the music for it. Hans was part of it from day 1, supervising it.

Scorefan2018-04-13 16:11:12
Thanks for the information Hybrid
Plans for a DVD/BLu Ray Release in the future?

Hybrid Soldier2018-04-13 16:23:14
Isn't that a bit... early ? lol

Mephariel2018-04-13 16:42:38
Hi Hybrid,

I asked this before, but is there a confirm list of soundtracks they will be playing? I read that The Last Samurai, The Da Vinci Code, Pearl Harbor, The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, and Kung Fu Panda are part of the show.

Hybrid Soldier2018-04-13 16:53:26
No, there's not... And knowing how this works, they'd prefer to keep some of the program hidden as a surprise for the show itself.

Klaus2018-04-14 14:07:39
Hi! There is a confirmed a show in Madrid (Spain), 3 of July in Teatro Real (Royal Theater). See it in his official of the Teatro Real. :)

Dfault2018-04-14 17:12:25
Thanks Hybrid for the work. Keep us posted if any news!

pureocean2018-04-14 19:19:30
I hope, this time will be interpreted at least two track from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

Cyberpunk882018-04-15 11:51:19
I did read in a description of a German trailer for this show that they are gonna play themes from MW2 and Crysis 2 live for the first time, so I think those are kinda confirmed
