Sounds like a Zimmer version of the Top Gun Anthem to me. Whoever did it, it works!me who seldom watch any of these superhero movies and remakes went and saw the new aladdin last weekend.<br><br>based on my own experience of that remake i have come to the conclusion that maybe some of the reviewers are stuck-up and not open-minded? i did enjoy the new takes on some of the songs. the new movie felt like that. a new different movie to me. <br><br>i decided that i will go and watch these movies for myself now. and i would not watch (or listen to original scores) in advance to build up expectation. i will go and enjoy my time and the songs.<br><br>that's all &#175;\_(&#12484;)_/&#175; you can't please everyone.To be honest. I love the bonus score tracks, nut those remixes are a wazte of disc soace in my opinion. I would've rather have 20 extra minutes of score.<br><br>Let the Complete Score come!For everyone that's heard it, is the Deluxe Edition worth a double dip?@Hybrid is this the combination of FYC promotional score + official release by LLL?
Use your hybrid skills to unravel the mysteries of the score.Cuesheet is blank.oh yes please, including Balfe - don´t start yelling, I´m just really curious who did whatFinally! It would be nice to have composers credits@DT<br>Disney definitely tries to put quality into their projects, which is why I admire them. As you’ve said, WDAS and Pixar are both churning out some excellent and original films. Even Marvel, despite its formula and flaws, tries new things with the films and stick closely to the source material. <br><br>The problem with the remakes is that they seem to be nothing more than cash-grabs that prey on nostalgia. If you are going to retell a beloved story at least try something different and exciting, instead of trying to copy/paste what everyone has seen.
This is where I wish we could edit our comments.<br><br>Not only do you have WDAS doing mostly-new movies (I hesitate to say 'original') but you have Pixar doing them as well. Toy Story 4 was their last sequel for the foreseeable future, with them even eschewing the popular option of doing an Inside Out sequel for original projects.I feel like people are overreacting in a way that suggests these remakes have far more power than they actually do. The studio that makes them is separate from every other studio. WDAS is still creating new content and will be for many, many years to come, long after the remakes have had their heyday.<br><br>If anything, the proliferation of superhero films is far more likely to drown out originality on that front: there are multiple studios doing it.Order I went with for the album<br><br>Everything I Need (Film Version)<br>Arthur <br>Home Invasion (Bonus Track)<br>It Wasn't Meant To Be<br>Permission To Come Aboard<br>Ask the&#8239;Sea (Bonus Track)<br>Atlantean Soldiers<br>Ahab Waves (Bonus Track)<br>Saving Pops (Bonus Track)	Soundtrack	0	1<br>Swimming Lessons	<br>Kingdom of Atlantis<br>The Legend of Atlan	<br>The Ring of Fire	<br>What Does That Even Mean?Soundtrack	0	<br>Obligation (Bonus Track)	<br>Dunes (Bonus Track)	<br>Map In a Bottle<br>Mera&#8239;Montage	<br>The Black Manta	<br>Trench Engaged (From Kingdom of the Trench)	Soundtrack	0	<br>Reunited <br>What Could Be Greater Than a King?<br>Suited and Booted <br>Between Land and Sea <br>He Commands the Sea	<br>Ocean To Ocean (feat. Jim Davies) [Future Funk Squad Remix]<br>Atlantean Soldiers (Glen Nicholls 'March In Formation' Remix)	<br>Kingdom of Atlantis (Glen Nicholls 'Escape to Atlantis' Remix)Same here. The cue I want the most is “We Strike First”.@Edmund<br>I can’t agree enough. These remakes suffer from the issue of being inferior to the original source material, mainly because they rely so heavily on copying the originals so heavily. I’m not necessarily against Disney updating their classics if they are willing to do new takes on the material. Take Jungle Book for example; they were able to do something fresh with the concept while keeping elements of the animated film. Even Maleficent, which I’m not crazy about, tried something new. <br><br>Another BIG issue I’ve noticed is the fact that they lean towards hiring actors who cannot sing, or at least cannot sing on the level required. Emma Watson, Will Smith, Chiwetel Ejiofor, etc.
Best shot <br>It wasnt meant to be<br>Home invasion<br>Ahab waves (0:39-end)<br>Permission to come aboard?<br>Ask the sea<br>Ahab waves (0:00-0:38)<br>Saving pops<br>Swimming lessons<br>Kingdom of atlantis<br>Legend of atlan<br>Ring of fire<br>What does that even mean?<br>Ocean to ocean<br>Obligation<br>Dunes<br>Map in a bottle<br>Black manta<br>Mera montage<br>Between land and sea<br>Trench engaged<br>What could be greater than a king?<br>Suited and booted<br>He commands the sea<br>Reunited<br>Everything i need<br><br>"Arthur" and "Atlantean Soldiers" are probably suitesJust want shrike death cue!I feel as though Menken did a bit more to differentiate his 2017 Beauty and the Beast from the 1991 one. The major pieces like "Prologue" and "Transformation" were left relatively intact but otherwise the rewrite was a bit more substantial than what Zimmer and crew did here. Compare the final battle music from the original (which consists to a large degree of upbeat instrumental versions of "Be Our Guest") to the remake (which is largely serious, straightforward orchestral action music). I haven't heard his new Aladdin so I'm not sure what the old:new ratio was there.<br><br>I'm not necessarily complaining, this is basically what I expected the score would be from the moment it was announced. The problem lies deeper, with the entire premise of these pointless remakes that allow very little wiggle room for freshness or creativity. Of course, I have no doubt this movie will make north of a billion dollars and give the Disney execs further license to print money. Maybe by the time they've remade every single film in their vault enough time will have passed that they can just start from the beginning again and nobody need ever be subject to the indignity of an original story ever again.It's a variation of the theme Anthem from the first Top Gun film by Harold Faltermeyer.whats the name of the song being played in this trailer?<br>is it available online

THE SHOW

From April 2018 “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration“ goes on tour throughout Germany, accompanied by longstanding friends and colleagues of the rock star amongst film composers, with Hans Zimmer acting as curator and musical director, even though he himself will not perform at these concerts.

“The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration” pulls out all the stops: In addition to visually striking projections of film sequences, a symphony orchestra under the direction of Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack conductor Gavin Greenaway creates an intense and unforgettable concert experience which – in contrast to “Hans Zimmer Live” – celebrates Zimmer’s compositions for large orchestra.

Together with a choir and top musicians from Hans Zimmer’s talent factory, such as Pedro Eustache, the flautist from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and solo violinist Rusana Panfili, it creates a magical sound cosmos, with the hypnotic voice of Lisa Gerrard, whose hymn “Now We Are Free” from Gladiator remains unforgettable, floating above it all.

“The World of Hans Zimmer” – an unforgettable audio-visual concert experience.

Presented by Semmel Concerts, Tomek Productions & RCI Global, LLC.

Dear Mr Zimmer, it has been an overnatural experience tonight at the Teatro Real !!! Thank you very much for bringing your art to Spain with your extraordinary musicians and choirs. Viva Almería and it’s superb orchestra! I am the one saying hi efusively with pink blazer on the first rows. For our children, for a better world.. thank you &#128591;

Hybrid, you said Hans dropped The Last Samurai for now... do you have any idea what tracks he used, though?

Mephariel2018-05-08 22:50:03
Thank you so much for the list. I could be wrong, but from what I seen on YouTube, I think:

The Lion King: This Land / Stampede / Mufasa Dies (could be Under the Stars) / end of The Rightful King

Also, Inception seems like a waste of a performance. The Time piece isn't even the one on the album.

Jonathan Rochat2018-05-11 09:54:43
Mephariel you’re right for the Lion King. in fact I was thinking of « Stampede » from the original album that includes Mufasa Death. Time and Dark Knight were maybe the less good track of the show. IMO, I was surprised by the amount and quality of the Da Vinci Code suite. More than 15 minutes of wonderful music, included the « Poisoned Chalice » track, one of my best Zimmer cue of the « 2000 » .

Mephariel2018-05-11 17:37:33
I still wish Zimmer would play the original version of Chevalier de Sangreal rather than the Inferno version. He played the Inferno version during his Hans Zimmer Live tour and because this tour is more symphonic, I am hoping for the complete original version instead.

Mephariel reply Replies: 2 || 2018-04-21 20:23:51
Hybrid, Hollywood in Vienna just announced that Zimmer will be receiving the Max Steiner award. Do you know if the Hollywood in Vienna program the same as the The World of Hans Zimmer program? If it is, King Arthur is confirmed to be in the program as well.

Olive2018-04-23 02:28:01
Probably not. The two are indepedent events.

Mephariel2018-04-23 05:30:24
They are independent events, but I think they are working in conjunction with each other. I based this on the description on the Vienna website. Their program is called The World of Hans Zimmer and some of the arrangements will be written by Zimmer himself. That leads me to believe this year's gala is a bit different and is just a stop for Zimmer's tour.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 8 || 2018-04-13 15:28:05
So, since people have asked questions about this.

Yes, it is different from the tour, no Hans & his band are not on stage (some of the musicians are back, though).

And YES it's a HZ show, Hans curated, rebuilt & selected the music for it. Hans was part of it from day 1, supervising it.

Scorefan2018-04-13 16:11:12
Thanks for the information Hybrid
Plans for a DVD/BLu Ray Release in the future?

Hybrid Soldier2018-04-13 16:23:14
Isn't that a bit... early ? lol

Mephariel2018-04-13 16:42:38
Hi Hybrid,

I asked this before, but is there a confirm list of soundtracks they will be playing? I read that The Last Samurai, The Da Vinci Code, Pearl Harbor, The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, and Kung Fu Panda are part of the show.

Hybrid Soldier2018-04-13 16:53:26
No, there's not... And knowing how this works, they'd prefer to keep some of the program hidden as a surprise for the show itself.

Klaus2018-04-14 14:07:39
Hi! There is a confirmed a show in Madrid (Spain), 3 of July in Teatro Real (Royal Theater). See it in his official of the Teatro Real. :)

Dfault2018-04-14 17:12:25
Thanks Hybrid for the work. Keep us posted if any news!

pureocean2018-04-14 19:19:30
I hope, this time will be interpreted at least two track from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

Cyberpunk882018-04-15 11:51:19
I did read in a description of a German trailer for this show that they are gonna play themes from MW2 and Crysis 2 live for the first time, so I think those are kinda confirmed
