Lorne Balfe score for Fallout was perfection so would be perfect for a Chris Nolan film. He also has worked with him on Dunkirk and Inception.But I expect and hope Hans is doing the score .If Hans is notworking with Nolan then Lorne Balfe should do it .So... Can it be considered as the second CD? Or something like that?
If Nolan is not working with Zimmer, Ludwig Göransson would be a dream choice for me. I really think he is an up and coming composer capable of great things.

But of course, I rather Nolan stick with Zimmer.Ludwig Göransson
Nolan's movie IT IS CONFIRMED ;)As much as I liked Julyan's work - especially his score for Insomnia, don't think it would work. I mention Lorne because he has worked with Nolan as part of Zimmer's team and his sound is very familiar to Zimmer's.

Of course, everything is kept under wraps. I personally think Zimmer doesn't want to confirm his involvement so that he doesn't get asked about it. I mean the film starts filming in three months and we only have a date. Hans usually starts very early on Nolan's films that's what surprises me the most, if he really is in the dark with this one.I really can't see Nolan going back to Julyan. The guy's a TV composer at heart. He's not suited for these big epics Nolan keeps making. The last "major" movie he scored was The Cabin the Woods in 2012.Trust me, I hope so !Stay calm folks, the name of the film has not yet been disclosed. When it announced, you see there ''Music by HANS ZIMMER''
To be honest, Dunkirk kind of sounded like Nolan asking Hans to take inspiration from David Julyan anyway. In some ways.If Hans wouldn't score a Nolan project, just expect David Julyan, they are close friends you know...I certainly expect that Hans will score the Nolan movie, but we'll see. It's certainly possible that, like other directors Hans has worked with off and on, Nolan won't choose Zimmer for every project moving forward, but will still collaborate with him again on the right project. We'll see, I guess.To me, Nolan and Zimmer have become inseparable so I'd be really surprised if he doesn't score the film. But if not Zimmer than who? Balfe? :D - Hope I didn't open the floodgates of hell...

Anyway, super excited and happy that Zimmer is scoring Dune. It was an obvious choice just glad it was confirmed - Would've also liked a collab with Wallfisch since BR2049 is one of my favorite scores.I hope Nolan and Hans haven't had a falling out.... I may not like every single choice they've made, but I always enjoy their collaborations and look forward to them.
Apparently Zimmer didn't have a good time on Dunkirk (according to Nolan himself) but I never got the feeling that they weren't happy in the end about the score.WHAAAAAATTTTTT? Nolan's movie is not confirmed??? But Nolan-Zimmer is the rule, no? But why wouldn't Hans score Nolan's movie? Did something happen between them?Wait wait wait Nolan's movie for Hans is not confirmed... Far from it...This is also releasing in 2020. How many movies are up for release now from 2019-2020, Lion King, Dark Phoenix, Wonder Woman 2, Top Gun - Maverick, SpongeBob, Nolan's movie, this, and that BBC show. We are gonna get so much stuff. I am very excited.YES!!!!!

So happy that Villeneuve is directing and Zimmer is attached to score. While I know it’s unlikely I hope this score is more than just sound design, there is so much opportunity here to write some kickass music.

Why this year hans zimmer dosent compose music for a great or box office hit movie ? I think before lion king we wont have any great composition from him. I really miss 2013 all the projects were cool like MOS , rush , lone ranger or even the bible.

Mephariel2018-06-27 22:48:09
He has at least two blockbuster potential films next year:

Dark Phoenix
The Lion King

Iamtommie2018-06-28 00:06:38
I'm sorry, but since when do only great of box offixe hit movies have good compositions in there scores?

He's doing Widows this year. Who knows what a surprise that might be??!!

David2018-06-28 12:00:10
Tommie , without a doubt most ( not all of them ) ot the hans zimmer great composition belong to blockbusters movies , such as christopher nolan movies , Gladiator , POTC Series , Lion king and etc. widows as you said i think the same faith of 12 years a slave will be happening for it. In 12 years a slave we just have one 3 minutes tracke name solomon which was the main theme. I really miss emotional scores such as last samurai , Epic scores like Gladiator , Dark knight trilogy , MOS and rush. These kind of scores needs epic scenes with graet budget and creative directors like nolan and howard. ( i truely like steve McQueen and appreciate his works but not a huge fan ). Another example of huge budget and hit movies have great score ( Most of the time ) is infinity war. Alan Silvestri Score is amazing for this bluckboster movie. Just listen to the track name “ Forge “ it is amazing. And as i said most of the times ( like 90%) high grossing movies and box office hites have Fantastic scores. Thank you

Mephariel2018-06-28 17:18:34
I have to disagree with Infinity War. I think that is one of the more average Silvestri scores. Too slow and dull at the beginning and the action cues are good but not great. Compared to his other action film scores like The Mummy Returns and Predator, Infinity War is a downer,

MrZimmerFan2018-06-28 17:43:25
Infinity War was good, but not near from Ready Player One.

mr2018-09-30 07:00:56
I dont even how can people consider infinity war as a great film and that too with good score. that kinda score is even worse than the worst of zimmer.

Edmund Meinerts2018-09-30 10:50:33
What are you talking about, the Infinity War score is perfectly fine

Meta2018-09-30 13:13:11
Well, Im only agreeing with the Zimmer fan because to be honest I never saw Silvestri's scores to be fitting with the movies...Infinity War only really has one theme, and it's just Thanos theme which you cant really do much with - or Silvestri had no reason to develop much outside the slow progression and the end titles, which used some kind of tempo, but little else. The score wasn't very punchy or catchy, let's say.

Honestly I preferred Jackman or someone from RC.

superultramegaa2018-09-30 14:07:30
While I haven't paid much attention to his action scores, Back To The Future, Stuart Little, and Polar Express prove to me Silvestri is capable of making amazing and iconic work. The problem is recently, he's kinda become part of the group of composers so desperate for melody, that they end up making little more than complex orchestral noise. I didn't even finish Ready Player One because I just couldn't grasp any of the themes, and frankly wasn't interested in doing so.

MrZimmerFan2018-09-30 14:56:08
And Predator, The Abyss or What Lies Beneath?

That are terrific scores by Silvestri

I really hope they release the documentary score and not only this song which sounds pretty by the books.

Mephariel2018-06-27 17:54:51
I don't think they will because I skimmed through the documentary and I don't think there is enough music in there to justify a release.

...2018-06-27 19:39:04
Is the music any good?

Max Potcats reply Replies: 0 || 2018-06-27 13:28:31
Maybe I deserve to die but I really don't like this music. It just sound to similar to all the "guitar / feel good" radio songs shit, and, seriously, do you ear something that sound like Zimmer in there? But it's nice to know that he scores the documentary.

Does Zimmer still have time to score another movie in 2018? It is highly unusual that he only has one film score in a year, but I can't see what it could be.

Josiah2018-06-27 07:26:43
I believe Hans Zimmer is kind of taking a bit of a break from scoring. If I am not mistaken I think I heard him say that in his interviews.

Jack Afrogarrix 2018 reply Replies: 0 || 2018-06-26 02:47:08
Well, that not a 100% sure, but if he Release the score at interscope records with the original song with dan reynolds(Imagine Dragons). But we had to wait what happens.

Jack Afrogarrix 2018 reply Replies: 2 || 2018-06-23 02:59:50
Nice new song from hans zimmer & the frontman imagine Dragons Dan Reynolds. I got a question just to know if hans zimmer will make a score for this documental hbo movie including the song with dan Reynolds?

Mephariel2018-06-23 20:48:44
He scored the documentary. The question is, are they going to release the whole score.

Josiah2018-06-25 03:29:18
Something tells me they're not going to.
