I found a version of this soundtrack online that contained several alternate versions of "No Time For Caution", as well as two additional suites, supposedly titled "Endurance Suite 1" and "Endurance Suite 2". I've listened to both and they both seem legit, but are they a part of this complete score?truly amazing score! zanelli shows here that he mastered the DNA of the pirates music. would love to see him talk about this series, what makes its music so unique & recognizable, etc.

i think what's happening is that there are far too many characters, each with their own themes, to focus & develop any one in particular. salazar is the exception, in both the movie and the music. his intriguing character is the reason i watched the movie. and his theme kept coming into my head months after the movie.

but yea there are too many stories being unpacked onto the viewer in just a few hours in the latest pirates. but zanelli did a great job all the same.Balfe is the best composer since Powell from the Zimmer training
After hearing what Lorne Balfe did for Mission Impossible it would be great to hear what he would do with the James Bond theme.
Ok.But still it would be awesome if Djawadi is composing The Eternals
Well, unless you have a source, or can point to a credible publication reporting Romer is not scoring it, I think it is safe to assume (for now) that the composer announced and still listed on the official website as the composer for the film is in-fact the composer for the film..

He wouldn't be my personal choice for the job, but I am not going to ignorantly pretend that he isn't currently the hired composer.I was at the concert yesterday in Denmark, words can't describe what i felt, it's something that has to be experienced in person, truly amazing.

Music is one thing, but the lights and video along the show was awsome, that can't be described, you have to be there.

I hope for a bluray version of a concert, I will gladly be the first to buy it.Jackman has always been my favorite of his "generation" of RC composers (in which I also include Balfe, Djawadi, ÷rvarsson, Margeson and Streitenfeld - the ones who broke out about a decade ago). I think he's the best orchestral writer other than Powell and I always appreciate the clean, organic sound of his scores - like with Powell's scores, Jackman's orchestra always sounds real and clearly distinct from the electronics, unlike Balfe and Zimmer himself who use samples a lot more and blur things in the middle. That's true even of scores of his I don't like, such as Winter Soldier.

I do wish he'd stop stripping the electronics off of tracks for his album releases though. That seems like a strange way to address the criticisms he got for Winter Soldier - kind of missing the point.Any plans for a concert in Denmark (Boxen, Herning) ?I like this score!!!

Henry is very good in my opinion. I always liked his scores even when others didn't.

And I'm really excited for Jumanji: The Next Level!!!
Neither Romer or Balfe are scoring Bond 25I want to say that test screening version of Ghost in the Shell deleted one geisha character who was under orders of Cutter to follow the Major and in the original third act, she fought Aramaki when he stormed into Cutter's Holo room after killing his guards. Aramaki survives and the scene continues as shown. Because of the poor reception of what I call "The Philosophical Cut", the geisha character was removed and there were quick reshoots of all of the conversations between Cutter and Aramaki minus the geisha character involvement. The report about Romer leaving wasn't even confirmed, so I think it's just people wanting the expected to happen at this point.lol no heís notLast week, the IMDb page said Joseph Trapanese is scoring it and next week some other composer will probably be listed there. Amazing that some people still think of IMDb as a reliable source for this kind of info.
More Cannons!, 2:14 - Jack Sparrow theme from PotC?Ramin Djawadi will compose The EternalsWell, "No Time To Die" (Bond 25) is being scored by Dan Romer. So, No; he is not scoring it.This is Balfeís best music yet for sure and shows a side to his musical skills we donít get to hear much I think.
Itís been interesting reading posts about Balfe doing Bond.Has he confirmed yet if he is ?Why would I ever do that ?

Tracklist is the real one... -_-

Holy shit! So many suites and alternates

mpolonest123 2019-02-11 14:56:27
And not counting the War Drums/Wild Bowls/Taikos that the team recorded for, what Iím guessing, the editor to use. The war drum recording alone is 18 minutes!

On one hand I understand the frustration behind La-La-Land not actually releasing the complete score. On the other, so many of the alternates are so similar to the original I can understand from a repetition perspective. Either way still one of Zimmerís masterpieces.

mpolonest123 2019-02-11 14:58:04
And Hybrid, why did they end up recording so much of the solo instruments? Was it just to give Terrence Malick a variety of options when assembling the film?

@mpolonest123
I am sure they do this all the time. This is probably the first time this stuff made their way to the outside world, hence the surprise from our end.

That is a good point!

So basically, this is LLL's release, chronologically presented. I see a few differences, some cues are split up, a few new tracks were added and (almost) all the alternates/unused tracks from LLL and the sessions are included.

So I guess Complete in this set means, everything Zimmer wrote for the movie, which is fine of course. However, Beam and source cues are still not included.

HunterTech2019-02-14 03:11:51
Unless they're composed by Zimmer or someone else from RCP, I wouldn't expect source cues to appear here. And there's like two tracks with Beam in the title listed, so what else would have that name?

StRuPiE2019-02-14 12:38:02
My definition of a Complete score is somewhat different. My goal is to find and mix everything you hear in the movie. Some things you find, others you don't. That's always an adventure in itself.

The source cues are not hard to find, sometimes it can be tricky to find the right performance/conductor.

In the case of TTRL, it's mostly the Beam cues that are difficult to find. Francesco Lupica wrote several pieces of Beam cues specifically for the movie, 5 of them which were used. There's also the 'Concerto for Beam' written by Powell, and there's the 'Sit back & Relax' album that was used. So to me, that's a pretty substantial (and important!) amount of music that made it into the cut, which hardly anyone ever talks about.

Anyway, maybe a future project will tackle most of these issues.

An historic day for HZ.com...Hybrid finally caved and made a page for the TTRL complete score. :P
