I noticed that the other day as well on IMDB. I know thatís not always reliable, but that would be awesome if he was involved. Iíve missed the ďfunĒ side of Zimmer for awhile. The next couple of years hopefully produce a number of Zimmer classics.Whoah Whoah Whoah Whoah Whoah. Whoah. Space Jam2?! You arenít serious.I hope this one will leak very soon! A lot of great music that isnt releasedHybrid, is Zimmer really attached to Space Jam 2?<br><br>Will Hans Zimmer be coming to London in 2021 pls? Thanks Monica
Why won't concert in Poland?! I love Hans Zimmer and his music and I was really waiting for it!! Last time in Cracow it was the best time ever for me! :(Isn't anyone except me wondering what kind of sound that 2-tone-pattern is? Is that something like ring-modulated strings? Or even FM? Sure it is something layered.Anyone own the 24bit FLAC version? I bought it expecting to here a difference between that and the mp3 version and they kinda sound the same to me. Just curious on if anyone else had the same observation.Upon revisit, this score is by far the best of the entire Call of Duty franchise. A wonderful main theme, exciting, varied, and climactic action music for the British missions, and a strong amount of atmosphere. <br><br>The only annoying part is the American missions' action music is on-the-nose and terrible until the nuke cue, and there's a little too much reused tracks for my taste.donít worry about it @Eobard <br>With the timing, I wouldíve thought the same if I didnít already know about the brass library :)
Well for sure it became the worst timing ever for Tom...<br><br><br>He must be watching twitter sweating right now lol. Totally cornered...@Ahmad well my bad! I didn't know about this. It was just his post came at a time like this so...<br>Sorry guys.@Xavi I know. I also want the Snyderís cut and JXLís score to be released, but setting up expectations about the score when itís clear that Tomís post has nothing to do it is just kinda unnecessary.Couldn't agree more Edmund. He's got both the orchestra and synths (and his great guitar usage) down very well. Similar to HGW IMO. <br><br>He's also a very interesting interviewee (that accent always seems to help). <br><br>Which scores have had electronic elements edited off of the official releases? And do the missing elements appear in the complete scores/sessions?In a year, like Enos says
Is there a page for the complete score of this film? Thanks."LOL" Relax, Ahmad. <br><br>People are working really hard to release the movie and with it will come Junkie's score too.<br><br>LOL! The only thing thatís coming is his brass library which he has been working on for quite some time.Even Snyder himself just tweeted it.<br><br>I bet the score of this version would be way better because Junkie/Zimmer worked on Batman, Man Of Steel and the Wonder Woman theme<br><br>What Elfman did was terrible butchering and ignoring all the themes and tonality of all the previous hero scores.Gal and Ben also announced their support for the Snyder Cut!

This is Balfeís best music yet for sure and shows a side to his musical skills we donít get to hear much I think.
Itís been interesting reading posts about Balfe doing Bond.Has he confirmed yet if he is ?

NotSoAnonymous2019-11-13 17:32:06
Well, "No Time To Die" (Bond 25) is being scored by Dan Romer. So, No; he is not scoring it.

Anonymous2019-11-13 22:36:22
lol no heís not

HunterTech2019-11-14 01:37:02
The report about Romer leaving wasn't even confirmed, so I think it's just people wanting the expected to happen at this point.

;)2019-11-14 18:34:27
Neither Romer or Balfe are scoring Bond 25

NotSoAnonymous2019-11-15 17:36:12
Well, unless you have a source, or can point to a credible publication reporting Romer is not scoring it, I think it is safe to assume (for now) that the composer announced and still listed on the official website as the composer for the film is in-fact the composer for the film..

He wouldn't be my personal choice for the job, but I am not going to ignorantly pretend that he isn't currently the hired composer.

Ok.

ďThe AlethiometerĒ might be my new favorite track of the year. Those chord progressions scream JNH/Jerry Goldsmith and are pretty similar to Balfeís work on Beyond: Two Souls/Blackwood.

Iím glad to see this score getting some love, Iíve always been annoyed with how people seem to slam Balfe for his more workmanlike efforts while ignoring the stronger scores he has done over the years.

I really like this score. Not a big fan of Balfe, but really enjoy this one.

And is it me or does The Tales Of Lee Scoresby really sound like Sweetwater from Westworld?

Haven't been this impressed by Balfe since KP3.

Lorne surprised me with this score, I am blown away. This is such a great music, best of this fall.

Okay, so I'm not the biggest Balfe fan, but when he does it right, I have to recognize it.

And this is a really good example of the best he can achieve. Tracks like the main theme, The Alethiometer, The Strength of Gyptians or A Plea To Fate show how great he can be, and makes me wonder why he would not use this style more often in his scores.

Anyway, I cannot wait to hear how he develops and uses the themes when the score album is released!

I fully agree. 2019 has been a bit disappointing musically, and I have the impression this score finally shakes things up a bit! Possibly a shot at my favourite of the year. Looking forward to the rest of the show & the music!

Damn. After skimming the album, you might be right about this being a great product from Balfe. Jesus, woodwinds, beautiful string and choral writing, melody, and an overall creative sound pallet. The only other score of his that gets close to this quality IMO is Genius Season 2.

There are a few moments where the electronics sound ugly and overbearing, but they're thankfully pretty sparse.

I fully agree that we need more of this Lorne style!

Alethiometer is a peculiar track and my favorite cue of the album.

It starts off with a Piano motif that is not awfully different from James Newton Howard's central theme for Signs. From there it briefly touches upon the Watergate Piano chord from Frost/Nixon. There are also times when I am almost ready to hear something from "Da Vinci Code" though it doesn't fully materialize.

The orchestral parts have hints of "Sky Ferry" from the Golden Compass by Alexandre Desplat too. I am also hearing a faint reference to the chorus melody of "Arriving At Atoll" from Waterworld.

What a journey!

I have to admit I totally eat all my negative words about Balfe. This is a fantastic and innovative score, full of great melodies, full orchestrations, vocal work, and innovative instrumentation. Clearly, he has spent a lot of time developing this. A clear sense of thematic purpose and melody!

best soundtrack this year so far I think with great themes and his best best since Beyond Two Souls

This is a fantastic score. Beautiful themes, a very nice orchestration and great vocal and choir parts. I think his best score so far.
