I agree completely.

The movie was awesome, the score works perfectly, and the only thing I didn't like was the use of songs. Too much of them. Songs rarely work during intense action scenes. They distract.

But every time the score started, I liked it. Bay may be known as the big action guy, but when it comes to scoring the more intimate/emotional moments, he and the composer (no matter who he is) always do a good job.Greenaway for President! :))I agree with Knight.

It seems some peeps were expecting power anthems left and right. Yes, this is a big movie, but not a "Transformers-big" movie. I didn't like the use of source music (I hate songs in action movies) but when Balfe's work popped up I noticed it right away.

The more emotional cues were definitely the most memorable. What a fantastic soundtrack.
It’s totally crazy and works brilliantly in the film.
The bit emotional sections are very classic Bay but Balfe’s electronic weirdness is very unique.
It’s nothing like Balfe’s Dark Materials BUT why I’m earth should it be !
10/10Gavin should be listed as conductor
Because Ice Age was composed by David Newman and Collision Course was composed by John DebneyWhen i heard just the sound clips, i thought wtf. Sounds like the worst score, a michael bay movie ever had. Then i listened to the whole album and i have to say, there are some pretty cool tracks. I really like the electronic rhythmic stuff. Welcome to florence is awesome. The emotional moments are nice, but standard balfe stuff. In the movie, the music works really good. I think this music style is the only style, that works in THIS movie. And as hybrid says a mish mash of score and songs. The movie itself is.....strange. but at least the action rocks as hell.If "The Meltdown," "Dawn of The Dinosaurs" and "Continental Drift" are added, then how come "Ice Age" and "Collision Course" aren't?I haven't heard the album yet but there isn't much score in the film. It's like Bad Boys II meets Domino in terms of editing, songs everywhere (19 sourced songs used), short cues... Hell there's even a 13 Hours cue tracked in the film ("Getting Aboard The Plane")."Second time"... lol
Another awsome score by lorne balfe. I really like the film 6 underground directed by michael bay, is very awsome and intense and i begin to hear the score composed by lorne balfe, and its phenomenal and his second time working with michael bay since 13 hours, which i like lorne balfe's score too. Balfe's work is really inspiring in his film score.I don't expect Lorne to make a masterpiece with each movie, but it is true that most of her films are action candies, and I can't understand how she can deliver 6 underground and then make His dark materials. It seems that within Lorne there are a thousand different composers. And I don't know what to expect from Lorne again. Can't help noticing not one, but two Zimmer titles in here.... Tracks 14 and 16. lol. What is most disappointing is that this is a Michael Bay movie with a score being so bad. Historically his movies have fantastic scores by either Hans, Steve Jablonsky, and even Lorne Balfe. But this is hands down the worst Michael Bay score I’ve ever heard.

It’s functional, yes, but nothing compared to 13 Hours, any of the Transformers movies, The Rock, Pearl Harbor, etc. I definitely had high hopes for another good “power anthem” score... and the only cues that are any good are just Time ripoffs.

Highly disappointing.Again, if we have to expect every piece of work of one composer is have to be as good like his others pieces of work, that's pretty underwhelming and impossible.

Yeah, 6 Underground is not a good score by any means (neither Gemini Man, but is far more listenable), but works perfectly in the hiperbolic movie.
I expected a lot from this score, and the truth is that it left me cold. Honestly, I think it is Bay's fault, Balfe has shown that he is capable of doing everything, but here it gives the feeling of being covered. Again, Balfe must focus on fewer projects and the projects he accepts are of quality. There are speculations about the track "Til Death Do Us Part "as being composed by Brandon Campbell. Can anyone confirm whether it was Djawadi or Campbell who composed it?Come to Portugal again.> which ones are listenable
all of the ones I listed are the melodic/orchestral moments in the score not counting Memories and Beautiful Sunday.
Listen to Haunt the Living, Thrones, A Million Battles or One, But Not Done and tell me that the score is a travesty.Knight - okay, let us know which ones of these tracks are even listenable? Hyperbolic nonsense defines this score, but I do not blame Balfe - this would have been what Bay wanted. Such a shame to see his artistic credibility reduced to this after the stellar work on His Dark Materials and acceptable material on Gemini Man,.

HANS ZIMMER RETURNS to the stage in 2021

Following a world tour which drew over one million fans to arenas, stadiums and open air sites, Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer returns to the stage for a major new arena tour through Europe from February to April 2021. It will be a new show with Zimmer joined by a band, orchestra and choir to perform hit compositions from fan favorite films as well as newer material and pieces not often performed live.

Hans Zimmer has created some of the best-known and most influential film scores of our time. The composer – who received his 11th Oscar nomination in 2018 for the film score of Christopher Nolan’s box office hit Dunkirk – has reinvented the format for live film music performance.

The audience can expect another lavish set of performances. Zimmers previous show “Hans Zimmer Live”, which ran from 2014 – 2019, surprised both: audiences and critics. Instead of a maestro or projected film scenes, Hans Zimmer took centre stage as musician and host alongside an orchestra, choir, and band, allowing listeners to completely immerse themselves in his much-loved film soundtracks.

With the “Hans Zimmer Live - Europe Tour 2021” the popular film composer is back live on stage by popular demand. The German-born composer chose Berlin to launch his new live tour in 2021.

About Hans Zimmer

Hans Zimmer has scored more than 200 projects across all mediums, which, combined, have grossed more than $28 billion worldwide. Most recently, Zimmer scored the live-action remake of THE LION KING, which was released by Disney in July and has earned over $1.6 billion so far at the box office, breaking numerous box office records. Upcoming, Zimmer will compose the music for WONDER WOMAN 1984 set to be released by Warner Brothers June 5, 2020 and TOP GUN MAVERICK, the highly anticipated TOP GUN follow-up which will be released in June of 2020 by Paramount. Zimmer has won an Academy Award®, two Golden Globes®, three Grammys®, an American Music Award, and a Tony® Award. Past notable scores of Zimmer’s include GLADIATOR, THE THIN RED LINE, AS GOOD AS IT GETS, RAIN MAN, THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY, INCEPTION, THELMA AND LOUISE, BLACK HAWK DOWN, THE LAST SAMURAI and DUNKIRK. Recently, Zimmer completed highly successful Hans Zimmer Live tour stops across Asia and Australia and continues to perform concerts around the globe.

Ho visto il concerto a Berlino The World of Hans Zimmer il 29 aprile 2018. Vorrei vedere lui con la sua orchestra a Napoli.

Hi all - I know this is the Europe site but any thoughts on whether he is touring the USA in 2021? Love to book tickets in Europe but it would be far cheaper in the USA.

Finally, the NEW show ! :P

Ds2019-11-05 11:21:09
New pieces we know so far:
- The Last Samurai
- Tears of the Sun
- Dunkirk
- Dark Phoenix
- Man Of Steel - If You Love These People (already performed in 2019 concerts)

I'm curious to know if they'll keep the same arrangements for big famous things like Pirates, Inception, Interstellar, The Lion King or Gladiator. It would be rather disappointing, as there are so many other great cues in these movies...

Mephariel2019-11-05 16:41:01
Where did you get this information?

Ds2019-11-05 23:36:35
It was written in the original press release. See for instance the page for the show in Belgium: https:// www. sportpaleis.be/fr/calendrier/2020-2021/hans-zimmer

Even though apparently it's been removed from the official press release, so might not be true anymore!

NateDog2019-11-21 22:02:30
Desperately hoping we'll hear something from Dune. He's said himself how excited he is to finally work on music for a Dune movie and turned down Nolan for it, and it will be out a few months before these shows begin.

Mephariel2019-11-22 03:23:53
I can't decide whether or not some of the things I want to hear from him should be in his new show or a new World of Hans Zimmer show.

Hi,

the VIP ticket prices are very high and I wonder if a Meet & Greet is included or possible?

Felix reply Replies: 0 || 2019-11-08 11:32:40
Tickets bought!

Jodeci reply Replies: 4 || 2019-11-06 10:12:57
Damn, those prices are SHOCKING high??!!

last time i bought two tickets in the middle block, two seats, second row, so i was directly infront of Zimmer and 120 Euro for each ticket. Now it's over 300 Euro for each ticket??? What's going on here, this is beyond crazy!!! and even if i would buy a ticket for a place way behind where i can't see anything, it's 150 Euro...

What a huge dissappointment!

polfan2019-11-06 10:38:29
Just wanted to buy 2 Tickets for Munich a few minutes ago, but Prices of 250-300 Euro for one ticket??? No way. I love hans Zimmer and his music, i have been to his live tour and to the world of HZ tour. But these prices are way to high. Sorry Mr. Zimmer, i am out.

Dimitri2019-11-06 11:02:59
Is Mr. Zimmer in financial problems?? Wow... as much as i love his music, but with these prices i'm out aswell :(

lucky for anyone who is buying those tickets though and wishing you maximum joy

Ds2019-11-06 11:22:33
Guys, these insane prices are the VIP packs. It's a trend now with companies organizing concerts, to include very expensive VIP packs including goodies, meet & greet, early entrance, front row seats, etc.

There are also regular tickets for about 70-80-90 euros. Not for the front rows, though.

Dfault2019-11-06 21:17:51
Prices are higher it feels like indeed. Got class 1 tickets for 160 euro each. Wanted the first rows/blocks tickets but they are indeed starting from 250 euro's.

Anyhow, happy to be there again for the 4th time!
