Is Jablonsky, but, well...Spenser Confidential by Yablonsky got the release !
scoreworld org/forum/general-discussion/news-discussing/44-upcoming-sco res-news?p=284#post284To whom it may concern...

Is it possible to download or in any other way purchase the Hannibal (Expanded) score somewhere? I have the original motion picture soundtrack, but would LOVE to have them both..

Best regards

Nicholas10 and 16 are missing from the store pack. Most probably
I am not a hybrid, i will try to give my opinion. I think, music in 5 season will come out when and 6 season. But I really want to be wrong!!! :)It's very sad...(((The 'Allentown Brothers' track is pretty damn awesome (find it on YouTube). It's like a mix between gothic Elfman, Desperate Housewives and Transformers. I love it.

It's one of those scores that people don't talk about much but it's actually pretty cool.

An awesome venue would be the Opera House in Odessa.Want this so bad!!!
Does anyone have a breakdown of this with the official score album?
Hats off to Batu Sener for working on many of the score's best cues though! It all comes to personal preference I think. Personally Iíve moved on from collecting cdís (or anything really) and would rather have everything digital simply to utilize space.

That being said, I completely understand the appeals of having physical media, it would be sad to see that go away for the people who really love it.It's not only to appreciate the work, its to have something "real" in your hands, for your music collection. I don't like only to have a digital music archive. Of course, i rip all the cds i own to WAV and MP3. But i want to have them in my physical music collection. These day, sure. But we usually get news of the next one by the time he's finished wrapping up the current one.
Powell only does 1 score a year.Still no news on his next score? Is he taking a break or something? Working on more concert stuff? Was pleasantly surprised by this one when I first heard it. Outside of the Ďmodern scoringí portions you get some fun noir music for the squad, solid action writing, and even some good emotional cues.

Also gotta love the rhythmic idea from Antz popping up here...Also, the use of the guitars by Jablonsky, are still the best since the 90sI give a spin (almost 4 years after my last listening), it grown on me (still don't consider of the best of Jab), but much better than Skyscraper (ok score) and Battleship (guilty pleasure, but not a good score by any means), i like the style of Jablonsky in this one, his rhythms (but i still don't care about the 'motif' for Cohen or certain sound design tracks like 'You Can't Shoot Me' or 'You Know the Drill')

But still has such cool action moments (Hot Potato With a Grenade) and emotional/romantic moments, and still enjoyed that from this.

Damn Powell is doing a lot of music on his own now a days with not many additional writers. I hope he takes on more project that arenít just animated. I really miss his music, heís so ridiculously talented.

It is good, very good.

But still no manage to top his work in HTTYD, but, really impressive.

dingoutback2020-02-21 18:34:18
I really like it! It's like a HTTYD with a twang to it.

Huh, I'm surprised there are no 5+ minute tracks. Not that that's indicative of the score's quality, but Powell's albums in recent years tend to have a few sweepingly-long cues that I get really excited for, so that's just a wee bit disappointing.

Kleius2020-02-05 16:43:52
Tracks 9 and 10 seem pretty long. If the names are any indication, something big must be going on in around that part of the film.

Edmund Meinerts2020-02-05 18:05:06
Well...it depends on the music itself really. "Armada Battle" and "Madrid Finale" are recent examples of quite long tracks from Powell scores that nevertheless feel like they jump all over the place, which kind of defeats the purpose. I'd rather have 4 or 5 minute tracks that feel really cohesive (after all, Solo was mostly like that).

Kleius2020-02-05 18:48:09
Agreed. It's curious that some tracks are rather short for Powell standards. Like "The Ghost Wolf of Dreams" or track 4, really.
It's rare to see short tracks like those from him.

MrZimmerFan2020-02-05 19:04:25
I rare times care about the short cues in an album, if the album is cohesive and good.

Actually, i really like Armada Battle from HTTYD 3. ;D

Ds2020-02-06 17:11:38
@Kleius: you should check out Ice Age 3... the average track length is probably about 1 minute :D

Kleius2020-02-15 17:52:39
:) getting pretty excited for this score after watching some of the clips online!
