Time to buy a record player guys!<br><br>Honestly couldn't be more happy about this.yes yes yes!!! the best MI Score :) can't wait!If I saw that cover art without the title text, the MI franchise would have been about the last thing that'd cross my mind. >_<Thanks to the way certain cues have to correspond to their album titles instead, it's hard to tell currently if this actually has everything from the film. Doesn't help that certain album suites are most certainly not here, and there's likely alt mixes that could've been included. We'll just have to see.<br><br>I get the feeling the reason this is LP only for now is due to Disney (who own Hollywood Records) being allowed to fully oversee this specific release. Any digital and CD re-releases are probably in legal lingo with Paramount, hence why the OST isn't available for streaming currently. Why only expanded?<br><br>The product page says:<br>"Mondo Music, in conjunction with Hollywood Records, are proud to present the premiere vinyl pressing of Hans Zimmerís complete score to MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2."<br><br>So, it's the complete score... isn't it?
So useless really, yeah... :(Cool release but... Vinyl only ! :/I don't think originally Hans planned it that way. <br><br>Wonder Woman 1984 was supposed to come out November 2019. That didn't happen. No Time to Die wasn't on the radar originally and was originally supposed to come November 2019 as well. He was probably on track to finish Top Gun: Maverick early this year if it wasn't for No Time to Die. <br><br>If you take out WW84 and No Time to Die, he would only have 4 major projects this year (Spongebob, Dune, Hillbilly, and Top Gun).Hybrid why is Hans taking on so many projects this year? Any insights into that? Why remove them?
Because there was no time for him to do WW 1.<br><br>He was on tour for months... Had 2 tours in early 2016/17 + Dunkirk to handle. Wouldn't have worked at all.Really loved that song 'n lirycs. Always became my lulaby on the night. He did...once... ;)So why exactly did Hans fight for Rupert with Wonder Woman and why is he scoring '84? Not criticizing, I just remember him thinking that it was better for more women to be involved as composers or performers on Wonder Woman projects. <br><br>I don't even necessarily agree with the concept that a woman needs to score a movie about women, I'm just curious why he wanted Rupert in and why he himself took over for the sequel if he felt that way?I would have gone with...<br>Music was good, didn't fit the DCEU, film was the worst thing ever. <br><br>Hans is fine, prefer his older stuff.
Hybrid, do you have the Inception credits?Hybrid? Any chance you could upload some unreleased tracks from this to your channel? Or just that suite, that you did but was removed :/Welp, necro thread i guess.Back then people still used CDs from time to time and a CD can only fit a little more than an hour worth of MP3s on it.Music was good, film was better. Nay, good. nothing, better than Hans<br><br>Hans, for you. <3<br><br>Sincerely,<br>Ricardo

Why release a tracklist for an album that won't be released for another 6 months at least. That's just a punch in the gut, in my opinion

Can March hurry up and be over already? I want this score real bad!

Powellfan2020-03-10 03:48:23
Nice. Love the way he conducts lol.

What is making that really low growly brass sound at the end? Almost sounds like a synth.

MrZimmerFan2020-03-13 09:15:11
Mulan delayed.

Don't expect the soundtrack soon.

Mulan soundtrack apparently coming 25th March, according to FMR.

Excellent, hoping its a great return to form for Harry.

MrZimmerFan2020-03-08 18:12:49
People must be forgetting The Meg, hell fun work.

Knight2020-03-08 18:34:56
I haven't forgotten, I just don't think it's that good a score. Especially if you compare it to his best work and see what he's truly capable of.

MrZimmerFan2020-03-08 18:48:18
Specially when you compare, with Cowboys and Aliens, Unstoppable, Total Recall or The Equalizers 1 & 2.

MrZimmerFan2020-03-08 18:49:55
Let's bit fair, those score are bit not too good, and The Meg is far superior to those, and believe me, that score with Penguins are the most entertaining scores since Prince of Persia.

Knight2020-03-08 19:33:28
Of the past 5 years for him I'd say my top 5 are like this
The Martian > The Zookeeper's Wife > Monkey Kingdom > The Meg > Penguins

MrZimmerFan2020-03-08 19:49:05
The Martian was good, not too impressed by that score.

Altough, are really good Monkey Kingdom and Zookeeper's Wife.

But in terms of blockbusters (or action movies, perhaps) HGW lately in the last decade wasn't good: The Equalizer 1 & 2 are forgettable at least, Total Recall was enjoyable, like Unstoppable, and Cowboys & Aliens is bit messy. For that, The Meg was a improved over those past scores: largely orchestral, with an inteligence use of electronics and chorals, and two theme, if simple, are effective, even the most suspense moments are entertaining.
