Yes, I was referring to A Celebration. "It's out there" as in "it can be obtained unofficially". Were you referring to the Sia track? Dark Phoneix is more playable than Dunkirk, more thematic in my opinion, and don't agree with that opinions saying are the same, specially when Dark Phoenix has more in common with the early 2010s and some of the 90s score by Zimmer.I don't find the similarities between Playful Secrets and Home Alone, mostly the track (and the most part of the score) reminds more to Danny Elfman than John Williams, even Goldsmith, which his synthesizers sounds, are pretty unique, much more than Jablonsky in this score, but i give that sounds like a 80s synthesizer.Please Inception be next!!<br>There are tons of music in the film that didn't make it to the soundtrack.That's great. There is a serious rumors that No time to die are pushed to 2021. I Think Dune will follow. Tenet was to much confusing with a simple plot, can't call it a savior. I believe only Dune can do it, of course if the director followed the same path as of BR 2049.

Hybrid Soldier2020-09-15 00:53:15
You realize BR2049 was a massive commercial failure ? :o

FaresTdkr2020-09-15 20:51:46
Sorry @hybrid, i meant if he did not follow the same path as BR 2049.
this movie(Dune) can prove where the last star Wars movies get it wrong.

MrZimmerFan reply Replies: 7 || 2020-09-11 19:09:35
Well, new release date: 25th December.

Hybrid Soldier2020-09-11 19:35:59
Until when ? lol

BC2020-09-13 12:16:33
At this point I'm starting to prepare myself for the very real possibility that we aren't getting a new Hans score this year. Tenet's not doing great at the box office and wasn't the "savior of cinema" like everyone claimed it was going to be, and no one else is willing to take a loss on their $200-250m movie.

I'm feeling like it'll be next summer before movies start truly returning to theaters and people feel like it's safe to go.

MrZimmerFan2020-09-13 12:29:41
No Time to Die comes this November, and Warner said for WW84, will come in 2020.

As for Tenet, if anyone thinks they will come across a hit like a year before, thinks wrong, because, Warner has prepared for this, they said 'is not like a sprint, more like a marathon'. No Rush, But No Pause.

Mephariel2020-09-13 20:20:07
At the very least we will get Hillbilly Elegy right? That is a Netflix movie.

Hybrid Soldier2020-09-13 21:09:15
Yeah but they wanted a limited theater release for Award season...

So who knows...

MrZimmerFan2020-09-13 21:12:32
But Netlix does both things, no?

Like The Irishman

BC2020-09-13 22:15:13
NTTD is holding its date so far but I'd bet money that it's going to get shifted into either a February or late April release of next year in Oct. Feb would give it a good window before Fast 9 drops in April, and releasing at the end of April would give it a few weeks space from F9's release.

It's possible that we'll get either Dune or WW in December, but I doubt it'll be both. I think they'll likely drop WW because it has a built in fan base that'll support it and that will come back for a third film provided WW84 is good, which it likely will be. Dune needs to do well on it's first outing so WB can gage franchise potential, and if that second movie is going to get made and I can see them delaying it to May 2021 at the earliest.

So at best we'll get 2 Hans scores and at worst likely 1 or none. Ultimately it depends on how bad flu season gets with the "global situation" currently going on.

God damn I missed THIS Hans Zimmer. Please, please, please, more scores like this and less Dunkirks and Widowses.

e2020-09-03 03:17:14
James bond will be good fun.

Mephariel2020-09-03 07:16:25
Yeah very excited we get some big action/adventure this year with Hans doing WW84, NTTD, and Dune.

MrZimmerFan2020-09-03 10:32:27
Specially excited with WW84 and Dune

badbu2020-09-03 10:43:09
dune will be the score of the year! the cue in the teaser was very nice :) hope it was from hans, not sure...

Micah reply Replies: 1 || 2020-08-26 05:16:07

Anyone know where this music is from?

badbu2020-08-26 10:29:17
not from hans

Ujal_21 reply Replies: 0 || 2020-08-25 23:11:01
Amazing! Gives me Lion King vibes.
I mean some kind of ceremony, coronation or something

Anonymous reply Replies: 3 || 2020-08-25 07:55:04
It appears that responses to this piece have been overwhelmingly positive.

Perhaps this reaches out to decision makers and convinces them that the market for uplifting music is just as strong as those serious (and dare I say, cold) soundscapes movie-makers elsewhere are crazy about.

MrZimmerFan2020-08-25 12:30:10
If the movie benefits for that, yes, but is the other way around... not too much.

Not every movie needs soundscape/sound designs or a fully orchestral palette

mpolonest1232020-08-25 15:12:34
Iíve had this piece on repeat since it was released and was surprised at how much I missed hearing this sound from Zimmer.

Donít get me wrong, I enjoy post-2010 Zimmer as much as the next guy, but between this and Lion King Iím really starting to wish for this more dynamic type of scoring. Not just from HZ either, I feel like the industry could benefit from a return to more traditional scoring, even with a modern twist.

And I do like the soundscape approach to scores, but it seems like most of the indie films/tv shows/etc. utilize a very similar approach. Same with how blockbusters had that Dark Knight/Inception sound for a while.

Mephariel2020-08-25 18:01:49
I would love to hear this type of music more but it just depends on the movie and the director. I think modern movies are so muted in color and in general are more gritty and tonally realistic. The only exceptions are superhero films or John Wick type movies and you are getting this type of scoring in a lot of those films already (far inferior and more generic than this piece imo).

I think the only way the industry will go back to traditional scoring is if art films change and titans like Nolan, Villeneuve, etc. embraces it.

George reply Replies: 0 || 2020-08-25 17:47:22
Hybrid, is this reminiscent of the rest of the score? This is such a great track!

theeaglesfan005 reply Replies: 4 || 2020-08-24 15:19:51
Why tf does iTunes composer credits have: Hans Zimmer, David Russell Fleming, Mark Andrew Wherry, Melissa Muik, Robert Badami, Ryan Rubin, Steve Mazzaro & Suzanne Keith Zimmer

No way that Monday people worked on on track, right? Lol

theeaglesfan0052020-08-24 19:08:12

Chaval:)2020-08-24 21:05:27
The other composers may have had little bits of input and maybe more on the full score, but Hans usually controls the themes a bit more. Also, hybrid said it was a sign from Hans and David

Edmund Meinerts2020-08-24 22:44:19
Those are some iffy credits. Bob Badami's not a composer, and I'd be pretty surprised if Hans' (ex-)wife had anything to do with the track. Feels like a bunch of random diverse credits and thank-yous that all got lumped under the same category by iTunes.

Mephariel2020-08-25 06:10:00
Auto-generated lists. YouTube had the same weird list.

J.R. reply Replies: 0 || 2020-08-24 00:04:31
This sounds like Hans' early 2000's work and I am really into it.

Anonymous reply Replies: 5 || 2020-08-23 08:13:17
Is this from the score for the movie, or a theme suite/concept of sorts?

Mephariel2020-08-23 09:46:19
Most people believe this is from the opening scene featuring the Amazon Olympics.

Hybrid Soldier2020-08-23 09:48:47
It's from a scene, that cue is Hans / Dave.

Mephariel2020-08-23 18:35:59
David Fleming seems to be the go to guy for orchestral stuff with Hans. He also worked with Hans on Planet Earth: A Celebration I believe.

superultramegaa2020-08-23 22:54:41
Weirdly Dave was kinda the opposite for his Transformers contributions. They seemed to be more electronic
/ drum related stuff that he was doing.

Hybrid Soldier2020-08-23 23:00:23
But Dave can do a lot of stuff, he wasn't Atli's assistant for nothing ! lol

Tech49 reply Replies: 6 || 2020-08-23 13:59:14
The track is great! It reminds me of some kind of mix between Angels & Demons and The Lion King with WW's theme mixed in.

I hope Zimmer not only uses his theme but also the ones Rupert Gregson-Williams did for the WW movie.

And I hope the score is a mix of orchestral and synth stuff!

Hybrid Soldier2020-08-23 14:04:18
There won't be any use of RGW's material.

AlitaFan2020-08-23 15:11:41
Wait, not even the the WW Theme? Ű_O

Hybrid Soldier2020-08-23 15:16:16
Which one ?

Hans' theme from BVS ? Of course it'll be in.

But that's not Rupert...

Tech492020-08-23 16:36:28
Oh, that's too bad, I loved the theme he did for Diana and Steve, but I'm sure Zimmer will do great.

BTW, do we know anything new from the other DCEU scores like The Flash, Shazam 2, etc?

Knight2020-08-23 16:41:26
Isn't the opening cello thing of this track from RG-W?

Hybrid Soldier2020-08-23 16:48:16
Hell no, listen to BvS's cue "Dawn Of Justice"...

Rupert just very cleverly used it in the opening of WW1, but that's Hans.

badbu reply Replies: 0 || 2020-08-23 07:41:15

mpolonest123 2020-08-23 01:15:17
This cue has such a 90ís Zimmer feel to it, and I absolutely love the chorus here.

Not sure if the rest of the score will be purely orchestral or a mix of retro and orchestral, but Iím loving this sample!

Miralsice2020-08-23 01:31:23
Amazing! With the first choral sounds it's instantly hits me with Angels and Demons vibes

MrZimmerFan2020-08-23 02:02:17
Wonder Woman meets Angels & Demons

anonymous2020-08-23 02:07:48
where can you listen to this?

e2020-08-23 02:29:26
Sounds really fun and heroic. Presume it's for the Amazon Olympics.

mills2020-08-23 02:49:34
So epic! Olympics is so true lol

isildur2020-08-23 02:56:15
Totally rocked it! Very uplifting.

Anonymous2020-08-23 03:37:15
Damn this is good! I love how uplifting it is. Far cry from BVS.

Francesco2020-08-23 04:03:32
You can listen to it on Spotify and YouTube. It's on the WaterTower Music Channel.

Mephariel2020-08-23 06:33:00
