Hi all - I know this is the Europe site but any thoughts on whether he is touring the USA in 2021? Love to book tickets in Europe but it would be far cheaper in the USA.Thank you! :)Well, WW was a much more difficult project than Aquaman...

He had a lot more freedom on that, and started fresh.

As for WW 2, Hans just said it's a very different movie/time period, so he started "fresh" too !@Hybrid

And honestly I知 ok with that. RGW did a fantastic job with that score, but I would be lying if I said I thought the themes were anything special. I think he did a much better job with Aquaman in terms of creating memorable tunes and developing the ideas. No, don't expect anything from the first score to return.
Good to know. Hybrid do you have any insight on this release?^ Lol yeah I guess you could count it like that.

I知 wondering if the template will be similar to Thor: Ragnarok, with electronics in the forefront but still utilizing the orchestra throughout. And the even bigger question; will any of RGW痴 themes return?Yes, Tina Guo did record music for WW84. Although you could make an argument that since she was using an electric cello, that is "synth" music. ;)@mephariel
Even better, I知 hoping for a hybrid type score.

And Tina Guo did post a vid of her recording the WW theme a while back, not sure if it was specifically for this project but if it was it sounds badass!I assume more concerts will be scheduled... looking forward to seeing BARCELONA in the list, please! :)
It'd be awesome if Hans and co. went the Thor: Ragnarok route and created some kickass psychedelic synth ballads. I'm interested to hear how they interpret their WW theme for this setting. Is there a date for Lisbon, Portugal?
Thank youthis is never hans :DI just finished the movie last week and the score was the best thing about the film. The scene using the cue "Simba is Alive!" is perfect. Not all synths. Mazzaro and Fleming posted pictures of them recording the score at Air Studios early in November so there will be some orchestral or instrumental music.
As the trailer posts, soundtrack coming from WaterTower Music. No, it's just a slight rework of Blue Monday by New Order. Admittedly, it's quite catchy. Nothing from Hans tho, not even the WW-theme at the end which they did for the first movies trailers. Guess we have to wait till the movie comes out.The only thing that matters to me about the movie is Hans, so I wonder, has the trailer musicalized Hans?Synth Hans I知 guessing ;-)Yeah, it's a nice little mini HTTYD score. It's a bit frustrating that he's seemingly never allowed to develop an idea for very long before moving on to the next thing and the next (probably because of the pacing of the short), but I like the way he plays around with Powell's themes. It makes me think that if they ever decide to make a fourth HTTYD movie and Powell decides he's said all he has to say in the series, Willis would be a good choice to continue it (Zanelli/Pirates style).

Wait! Hybrid Soldier, you've said on the page of the album for White Fang, that Toys were Nick Glennie-Smith's first work as additional music composer after K2 with Hans Zimmer. If it's true, that why his credit's not here?

Michael Poleschuck2017-02-16 10:27:41
And i want to know one more thing. Oh, my God! So many famous musicians: Anne Dudley, Enya, Peter Gabriel, Steve Howe (from Yes), Wendy & Lisa, Seal, Hollywood Studio Musicians, and of course, Zimmer, Horn, Bob Daspit, Jeff Rona, Ryeland Allison... How they're managed to bring together?

Hybrid Soldier2017-02-16 18:02:30
Nick never worked on that one, I said Nick's first work at MV was Radio Flyer.

And for how long will you continue acting like some overexcited puppy asking questions after questions which basically... no one will answer ?

Michael Poleschuck2017-02-16 18:18:55
Oh, i'm sorry! I'm just interested in all this things, mainly because i'm a musician. I never thought that i asking questions which no one will answer. But, yeah, i'm excited. And not only for Hans Zimmer.

No prob lol but slowwww down a bit !! :P

Yeah, that would be my advice too. Nobody minds you asking questions, I think, but if you ask like twenty a day the way you've been doing, then a) people will get annoyed, and b) it's less likely the question will even be seen, and ergo less likely that you will get a response.

Ok!

I love Toys. It celebrates innocence and the music is really beautiful. I just would like to know the lyrics to Let Joy and Innocence Prevail

Currently it's difficult to buy this soundtrack, but ZTT Records' MySpace has full song of "Closing Of The Year."

And here's the lyrics. It was mostly completed thanks to the forum members :)

THE CLOSING OF THE YEAR
(Written by Trevor Horn and Hans Zimmer)

If I cannot bring you comfort
then at least I bring you hope
For nothing is more precious
than the time we have and so

We all must learn from small misfortunes
count the blessings that are real
Let the bells ring out for Christmas
at the closing of the year
Let the bells ring out for Christmas
at the closing of the year

(Children chorus)
Up on the knees of a soldier
made of parts of wood, with wind in your hair
Silver bells on a stolen reindeer
as we race to the castle over there

If I cannot bring you comfort
then at least I bring you hope

Now all the winter bells are ringing
hear them echo through the snow
And the children's voices singing
on the streets so far below

This is a time to be together
and the truth is somewhere here
Within our love for people
at the closing of the year

(Seal's solo)
We'll walk innocent
with all of the pain
and all of the patience
and all of the way
and all of us right
and all of us say
Love one another
We'll fly in the arms of time
walk in the waves, never fall
Don't fall
(at the closing of the year)
at the closing of the year

If I cannot bring you comfort
then at least I bring you hope

Then at least I bring you hope

I LOVE TOYS! I think that this is Hans Zimmer's best soundtrack! Ever! Nothing can top Toys, the most whimsical, quirky, fun and sometimes heart warming film ever made! And the Music Compliments the film greatly! I play Alsatia's Lullabye when I go to sleep, and I listen to it all the time! Excellent work, and I think the score for Toys is a credit to all involved, as is the film!
