we don’t have a release day...My Question again?!!!!

CD RELEASE???@Ahmad hahah idk :DAny reason why Negative is put before Deletion other than to piss us off and ruin the chronological order? :P

Intimate > Deletion > Negative > Reckless > Insertion > CodaJohn Powell mentioned on his Instagram that a surprise album will be released this Friday. On the picture that comes with it, it looks like it is something from Happy Feet!
@ThePhantasm the magneto vs jean scene ;)Insertion and Coda are probably my two favorite cues other than Gap. But the last 3 minutes of Intimate is the best action sequence of the entire album. I just wish there is a cue completely devoted to that sequence. The song Deletion plays in what scene?!That is what I am hoping for as well. Long tracks. I think if each track is at least 5 mins long, we get at least 45 mins of music. I suspect the last 2 or 3 tracks will be closer to 10 mins long.I guess so. I wish we had gotten something like the soundtrack of the Beauty & The Beast remake, which had the second CD devoted to the score alone. But I understand this album arrangement. I hope the tracks are long and score portion runs at least 45 minutes. Can't wait to hear the stampede and final battle tracks in particular.
Rafiki's Fireflies is probably the scene where he 'marks' Simba in his tree.

As for TBA, it's the Beyonce song so it's possible Beyonce insisted that she gets to reveal it or release it as a single first.Love to know what scene "Rafiki's Fireflies" & TBA will be. So excited for this score and movie. Bought my tickets yesterday!!Out of the scores I've been looking forward to this year, I can say that I've already had my most anticipated :P

I doubt we'll get 'all' of the score. IF a Deluxe Edition happens it will probably have some suites on it. I do wonder what this will sound like.I'm posting here after goodness knows how long, but there couldn't be a better occasion. This is my most anticipated score of the year and I cannot wait to hear how HZ has adapted his classic melodies here. I really hope they do release a Deluxe edition with the rest of the score at some point.for me the best cues are:
the unreleased piano cue (school)
Deletion (what a scene!)
Insertion and Coda!

I like the choir so much in this cues! Amazing work!
I can't wait for the second "cd" and i also hope we get a making of the score (video)!!!
An interesting album arrangement given the 1994 album arranged the tracks into suites and it seems that's not happening here (and we all know how much hans loves his suites). Seems like it's going to hit every major note that the previous Legacy set does and then some.Does this mean that He Lives In You and Mbube are not new recordings, or at least not entirely new recordings?do you have Informations about a limited edition ?
(like BR2049, interstellar,...)it's a complete new recording1. “Circle of Life”/“Nants’ Ingonyama” – Performed by Lindiwe Mkhize; African vocals performed by Lebo M; written and composed by Elton John and Tim Rice; “Nants’ Ingonyama” written by Lebohang Morake and Hans Zimmer; produced by Hans Zimmer; vocals produced by Stephen Lipson

2. “Life’s Not Fair” – Hans Zimmer

3. “Rafiki’s Fireflies” – Hans Zimmer

4. “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” – Performed by JD McCrary, Shahadi Wright Joseph and John Oliver; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Pharrell Williams; co-produced by Stephen Lipson

5. “Elephant Graveyard” – Hans Zimmer

6. “Be Prepared” (2019 Version) – Performed by Chiwetel Ejiofor; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Hans Zimmer and David Fleming

7. “Stampede” – Hans Zimmer

8. “Scar Takes the Throne” – Hans Zimmer

9. “Hakuna Matata” – Performed by Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, JD McCrary and Donald Glover; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Pharrell Williams; co-produced by Stephen Lipson

10. “Simba is Alive!” – Hans Zimmer

11. “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” – Performed by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen; written by Luigi Creatore, Hugo Peretti, George David Weiss and Solomon Linda; produced by Pharrell Williams

12. “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” – Performed by Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Pharrell Williams; co-produced by Stephen Lipson

13. “Reflections of Mufasa” – Hans Zimmer

14. Is really sad than this score have not an edition in good conditions as is deserved, why we have to wait to de sequel to hear this score?. Why is necesary put remixes on the edition of this score?. Anyway than this is one of the little horror scores by Hans Zimmer and someone of their assistants, Zimmer shuns of the typical dramatic effects of this type of music, here makes sutil music, whose fuction is transmit the anguish and desesperation of the protagonist in the moment to knows she will dies. It`s really sad Hans Zimmer don't usually do suspense scores like this

The Well is one creepy track.

Hybrid Soldier2013-05-30 12:23:47
The Ring is one of those scores HZ is proud of. There aren't MANY, and the lists changes depending on his mood. But he also told me The Fan (the most underrated score ever), The Last Samurai, and his scores for Nolan, R. Scott & T. Scott (with the exception of Days of Thunder haha).

JamesT2013-05-30 18:02:45
The Fan has always been one of my fav score, period. Think there is ever a possibly of a leak or more importantly a legitimate expanded/complete release. The cello work in that score is amazing.

El Baradei2013-05-30 18:22:49
Why is HZ not proud of Days of Thunder?

Jor_El_Hans_is_the_f@cking_master2013-05-30 18:44:14
The Last Samurai? great! First time someone admit Hans is proud of that one!
I will never understand why he is not proud of Days of Thunder, thought!

Mike2013-05-30 20:41:11
I'd be surprised if he said he was not proud of The Last Samurai, so that's good news. :) It's one of my favorite Hans Zimmer scores.

Mike2013-05-30 20:46:31
And it doesn't surprise me at all that Hans is proud of TDKR. He said in one of the movie's special features something to the effect of, "This is the movie I've wanted to score my entire life". And while there will be naysayers, I do think it's a great one.

Anonymous2013-05-30 21:06:44
Before You Die You See the Ring is an excellent track.

Anon-e-missing2013-05-30 21:13:51
"This is Going to Hurt" really reminds me of Sherlock Holmes.

Trent Easton Navarro2013-05-30 22:47:01
Really, really love this score. One of the best horror scores I've ever heard. HZ's music is one of the reason the film is so creepy as hell. He should score more horror films.

Would also love the see a legit expanded version of The Fan, it has a great Nine Inch Nails vibe.

Hybrid, can you tell us which tracks are from 1 & 2? cause I know that's what the * and + represent. Thanks =)

Poe2011-07-25 07:16:05
Yes, please tell us

Poe2011-07-25 07:16:34
Duh, I see it now no worries

Dakota2011-07-27 07:28:53
Hybrid himself has these listed on another part of this site, along with credits for many other films. So I am not making these up. If you compare these to what is listed above, then clearly tracks 9-12 must be from The Ring 2?

My mistake. It states "The Ring - The Ring Two OST" above the tracklist, perhaps I should read that next time. I have not seen The Ring 2 yet, so idk which ones are off of it and I only have the complete score for The Ring.

Mr Tweedy2011-07-27 09:56:33
Each CD track contains a mix from both cues from TR1 & TR2. For exemple : The Well is based on TR1 End Credits, but extended in parts with bits of other cues from TR2.

This is really, really complicated to find out which sub-part is from each movie...
Neverthless, I must admit that the OST team did a great job to sum up both film scores in a very enjoyable listening experience !

I think somebody did the complete check up for each track on the filmtracks.com forum back in 2005. I'll give a look at this.

OMG I thought this movie was scary as hell, but now I know that Hans Zimmer wrote the music, it gets a sort of melancholic note to it. Now it's more dramatic than scary.

zimmer, another great score. you have proven you can write music in the traditional style and modern style with this soundtrack alone. being able to orchestrate the strings piano percussion and winds. then you have the electric guitars and the drumset. it really shows that you are indeed a musical genius

Mr. Zimmer,

This score was completely great. I decided to buy it on a whim...but I was a bit disapointed...I was hoping to at least find included on the disc the track featured on the tv spots...and the scene where Martin Hendersen is axing the floor above the well with Naomi Watts...But overall, it's got some great some stingers and a great mix from both movies. Thanks for releasing at least a taste of the score!
