I seriously don't understand why they didn't do two separate releases like most musicals do (La La Land comes to mind - perfect release).

A soundtrack album and a score album. No missing tracks, no fuss. And optional 2-CD set containing both.

Instead, they went with a soundtrack album with some of the score and another song album for whatever reason that is lol.The second half of the new "Elephant Graveyard" is basically note for note "I Was Just Trying to Be Brave" from the 1994 version as well, just with a few changes in orchestrationThis is only HGW's score, a good chunk of it was rejected.Wonder if it will take 20 years for an official complete score XD Not to mention any unofficial leaks (it took a long time to even get that for the original film). TBH, I'd prefer a proper release of any score any day of the week.

To answer the question above me: Mostly it's new material using the same themes from 1994, though if my interpretation the OST is correct, the hyenas and Timon and Pumbaa get new themes. The only true 'copies' of music from 1994 are Circle of Life and Remember, but even then, they are at least partially-new recordings.Do we know who wrote what?
Is it all material from 1994 or is it new 2019 score?I confirm I'm back from it, there's quite a bit of unreleased score.Well, now we have somebody who's seen it (and yes, it's out in some countries today), we know for certain.

I wouldn't expect anything official any time soon unless Zimmer wants to release a second CD.I absolutely love Kai’s theme in this score, there are so many cool variations that weren’t on the initial album. Hans and Co. really stepped up their game here. I don’t feel the temp as heavily here as KFP2 (which is still an amazing sequel score).Saw the film today, there is a LOT of music missing.
As stupid as this film is, you can tell Tom probably had fun working on it. The music is so over the top, it just goes nuts all the way through. This is one of those scores that I have really warmed up to since it’s release. The emotional stuff for Alita works really well in context and her “Hero Theme” gets some great development (the way it culminates in “Epilogue” is incredible). Also really love the “Motorball” stuff.

After seeing the film I think the only substantial music not on the album is “Motorball Plan” and “Alita’s Revenge Pt. 1”. The end credits piece I’m guessing is edited from the Full Motorball Suite.Hybrid, did Lorne actually do a lot of writing on this one or is he just being credited for the theme? We've had this argument before, almost any score can fit in a film. But what separates the mediocre composers from the best is the ability to make great music that works on its own, outside of the film.

Hans has had a lot of work lately that hasn't been doing that, and it's the reason people want him to work with orchestra again and produce is 2000s, late 90s type of style. Because those scores, for whatever problems they had, they felt distinct, memorable (for the most part), and easily could have been enjoyed away from the film.

Good scores have themes and ideas that both enhance the film, and enhance the listener's experience. Music like Dunkirk, Inferno, or Widows just feel like shallow and empty committee scores that the studio/directors didn't want too much thought put into. "Ah just write one main theme, and fill in the rest with electronics, Hans, it'll be fine!"Hahahahaha well I’m glad he got the credit then :D
I absolutely disagree with you saying Widows is a terrible score. It may not be great on album, but the music fits very well with the film.Actually, I think he only gets credits cause he is the guy... whistling ! :PElectric violinJust out of curiosity... what instrument is playing when Liv and Ben are running towards each other at the end? (Long Distance Goodbye/Landing? I love that instrument! And I’m guessing Neill Blomkamp contributed somehow to the “We Own This Sky” theme that pops up throughout...

Hans Zimmer you're the right guy for every type of score. From The Lion King to THe Prince of Egypt and for epic scores just like Gladiator &-- King Arthur :D You are the best out there. No competition because you are so original and have created your own style. I really love the mixes you make between orchestra and synths. You are so talented. Now its time to go for the big oscars. I was disappointed when The Thin Red Line didn't make it to the top, but I'm sure that in the nearby future you give us yet again a wonderfull score to enjoy. For me the best scores you've ever produced are The Lion King, Prince of Egypt, Spirit, The Rock, Gladiator, Crimson Tide &-- King Arthur. So Huge with great orchestral writing thanks to MR. ZIMMER. Keep it up for all the work you've produced till now and hope that the new Year 2006 will be the year to remember --))) Happy new year to every body.

Anyway, for those who have the soundtrack and are wondering how much to changed the pitch, i found after experimenting with the CD track and the one on this bootleg, that a 3/4 raise in pitch will do the job. I have a really picky ear for audio and I found that to be the best working pitch. For all those still trying to find this, ill tell you, emule has it and if you run out of options, i suggest getting it from there (even if it takes a while, ITS SO WORTH IT) Whoever leaked this out is totally the man. I made a complete soundtrack from the DVD myself about a year ago with SFX cancelled as much as possible but it doesnt compare to this. This version is 100x better then the one i made. Good luck to those still looking, even if you have to wait ITS SO WORTH IT!!

I am happy to say that a long time ago I fond the site where I could listen to these songs... For a brief while, only for a few hours, they were downloadable... I don't know why but it is. I just wanted to say great music, and to all of those who were/are desperatly searching for this may you be lucky in finding it, I would be happy to help in any way possible

Is it possible to download it there? Do I need to install the winxp service pack 2? I can make out "--win xp sp2 (then some chinese)"--.

I tried on Mozilla or IE6, still nothing. :(

If you mouseover the links to the left of that site, you will be able to see link names in English at the bottom of your page, at least for Internet Explorer. Use them to move around the site.
And no, new windows do not pop up.

Ah, the yousendit delivery site. That's what I found first in my hunt too :) But it had also expired by that time.

Two Hints for your search, because it's Christmas:
1) The 'country' where "--The Lion King"-- is playing (written together)
2) Dr Cossacks Nationality (Gameseries: Mega Man)

I will not say anymore to this, because it's still illegal (and otherwise really stupid to see that the OST was never released).

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2005-12-24 00:00:00

I'm a big fan of the Mega Man series, but never have I heard a guy named Dr Cossacks there.

Just a question: did you download your copy some place except yousendit? I'm not asking where (not allowed).
