Powell only does 1 score a year.Still no news on his next score? Is he taking a break or something? Working on more concert stuff?Was pleasantly surprised by this one when I first heard it. Outside of the ‘modern scoring’ portions you get some fun noir music for the squad, solid action writing, and even some good emotional cues.

Also gotta love the rhythmic idea from Antz popping up here...Also, the use of the guitars by Jablonsky, are still the best since the 90sI give a spin (almost 4 years after my last listening), it grown on me (still don't consider of the best of Jab), but much better than Skyscraper (ok score) and Battleship (guilty pleasure, but not a good score by any means), i like the style of Jablonsky in this one, his rhythms (but i still don't care about the 'motif' for Cohen or certain sound design tracks like 'You Can't Shoot Me' or 'You Know the Drill')

But still has such cool action moments (Hot Potato With a Grenade) and emotional/romantic moments, and still enjoyed that from this.
<3 Buck Takes the LeadHybrid do you know what cues Mancina worked on here? I read in the Twister booklet that the director heard a cue from this and wanted Hans for Twister but he told him that it was actually Mark.100% for HybridSoldier!I am very glad we have 2 scores by Steve this year. Waiting for Spenser Confidential.Agree!!!!! Please organize a concert in Budapest again! The 2017 live concert and this year's World of HZ concert was totally full house in Budapest!
thank you, I appreciate that:) I should say that I am inspired by the music of the 90's, I started producing music on a cheap 200$ Yamaha between 1998-2000, and thanks to a few projects I worked on was able to purchase A more high end synthesizer. Right now I kind of just make music as a hobby but hopefully one day could compose A score for A Movie or even A video Game, that would be pretty cool. I'll be adding more tracks as well for this particular project. The next track I am planning will be a more orchestral reprise of the Miami Heat track I uploaded. I'm trying to get better at themes which is an area that I'm trying to improve on.Damn Powell is doing a lot of music on his own now a days with not many additional writers. I hope he takes on more project that aren’t just animated. I really miss his music, he’s so ridiculously talented.And even then, people rate before listening to it...The version on this page is actually sound effects-free!Sehr Geehrter Herr Zimmer, du hast viele Fans in Polen. Lassen Sie es uns wissen, wenn Sie nach Polen kommen. Wir haben mehrere Orte, an denen Sie Ihre Arbeit präsentieren können. Sie sind hier herzlich willkommen.
-------------------------
Dear Mr. Zimmer, you have many fans in Poland. Let us know when you come to Poland. We have several places where you can present your work. You are very welcome here.
Credits added !All sounds really good!
Tracks 1, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 16, 19 are wonderful.Macejko: i do tooI for one believe they should not allow user ratings until the album has been released.I really like it! It's like a HTTYD with a twang to it.

Wow... just listening to those two "--teaser"-- clips has made me frantic to obtain the entire thing! Caephalo Trecca, or anyone else that has it, would you please e-mail me about where to find this soundtrack? The music of the Lion King is unmatched, and it's about time we are able to appreciate it's full, unfettered greatness!

My e-mail address is: ...

I remember watching an interview with Hans Zimmer, and he mentioned having composed over a dozen different variations on the popular "--This Land"-- theme... variations that just "--weren't quite right"--, as he put it. Imagine... all of that material the world may never hear!

Cheers!

This bootleg is NOT a DVD-rip, no way! I have the SFX version (a DVD rip) and the Bug's Life DVD rip, both of them have heavy volume fluctuations, listeners can notice, like in the movies, for dialogues etc. But this version has an even volume level, it is definitely a lost copy of the original material. Cheers!

I love this CD! Listening to it now.

However, I don't know if it will ever be released. The best time to have released these songs was when they released the enhanced soundtrack, which was a couple years ago, and I'm not too sure if they will come out with a third CD... but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

And yes, there's a pretty nice difference between 128 and 192 kbps, 128 is just the CD quality, while 192 kbps provides more clear sound, less hissing, distinct percussion and more quality stereo effect (IMHO anyway :-)

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-20 00:00:00
All music collectors prefer 128 and above, although most of the songs I own are at 320, so i don't prefer mp3s below 192 ---) And BTW this bootleg is not a legal one, if you're a die-hard lion king score fan, i'm afraid you gotta look for this unofficial release. Keep hunting! :-)

Moundchap reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-18 00:00:00
Oh my goodness....I have dreamed, since I was a kid, of finding the complete score for Lion King................

Is there any way on earth to get ahold of a legal version???

Tanbourgi reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-18 00:00:00
Is there a major difference between 128 and 192 kbps? I´m not sure if I hear one.

Excellent music, wonderful re-orchestrations, new themes, nice quality! Must-have for any TLK fan!

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-09 00:00:00
BTW I just got the SFX bootleg and found out that it is actually a DVD rip - the music not only has SFX but also has certain volume and speed variations in places like in the movie, very noticeable in the opening of the stampede track. So, this new bootleg has clearly obtained from some copy if the original material, and is not a rip, confirmed (YAY!) :-)
