Nice!www.youtube.com/watch?v= uzLk1Ar4DHw@Hybrid<br><br>I did manage to manage to listen to the Gelukkige score he did, it’s an interesting mix of horror music, emotional piano stuff, and some upbeat pop elements that reminded me of Megamind lol.<br><br>Btw, was his concert music for the “Battle of Peace” show ever released? It’s a pretty badass mix of 300, Mad Max, and some epic choral portions.Yeah,pretty goodHave you guys ever listened to anything Tom did in Nederland before saying it's "different" ? :P
From what I've seen the score sounds so different because Antonio heavily worked on it (as almost every track is on his soundcloud, or was at one point).Tracklist:<br><br>1. Cobolt (1:42)<br>2. Escape (4:28)<br>3. He’s Gone (3:37)<br>4. This Is What He Does (2:19)<br>5. We’ve Got That In Common (1:22)<br>6. Make It Rain (2:23)<br>7. Attack (2:46)<br>8. Why Me (3:00)<br>9. The Suit (2:16)<br>10. Asylum (3:31)<br>11. He’s Behind You (4:42)<br>12. House Fight (5:35)<br>13. It’s All a Lie (5:27)<br>14. Surprise (1:33)<br>15. Yeah, it is good.<br><br>Score comes this Friday, also vinyl 4th MarchActually, I prefer BB2 more than Pearl Harbor, thanks!<br><br>There is a quite of the trademark style of Tom in this, his percussion, synths and brassBay should work with Jerry Bruckheimer again. Except Bad Boys 2 (which was way too long) they made really entertaining films together.@Mark<br>You composed this? It's pretty damn solid work, man.<br><br>Not sure if I hear a whole lot of 90's Zimmer in there, at least not until the last couple minutes. If anything it gives me modern Lorne Balfe vibes. But it's not a bad execution of that sound. Far from it.<br><br>Could just be me. I'm curious how the more attuned ears around here feel about it.
Not bothering with any more of your bullshit. This already gets down to the crux of the issue.<br><br>"Look at your first comment here, pal. Look at it good! Snarky, dismissive, almost trollish, and with a clear intention to provoke people."<br><br>You chose to take a comment whose only direct provocation was at Bay himself, as a direct insult to YOU.<br><br>Despite the fact that Bay and his work were the only things mentioned, despite the fact that those were the only things being dissed, you chose to take it as an attack against YOU. <br><br>And when I elaborated on my full opinion, and even capped it off with a "you do you" olive branch, you chose to take it as me "unleashing my true self."<br><br>That speaks volumes about your mindset.<br><br>Y'know, we could keep talking and going in circles like this. <br><br>We could talk about how you keep staking the worth of Bay as filmmaker on how much money he's made (and how much less money action films I considered better made) and then turning around and claiming "B-b-but I didn't say box office was a sign of quality!" <br><br>We could talk about how 300 wasn't trying to start a franchise and how you keep pulling that uncited lie out of your ass to write off its merits under the very faint guise of "objectivity."<br><br>But that'd all be beside the point.<br><br>That point being, how people can only shit on a director according to your arbitrary standards, and how your inherent obsession with "disproving" them or "giving them what they deserve" or whatever self-serious crap you've concocted inside your head is dogmatic fanboyism at BEST.<br><br>Nice day indeed.LOL @ 1/5 star rating, before release.<br><br>Good job, Internet.You should credit Trapanese wherever there is an orchestral prescence in the cues as he handled all the arranging and orchestration.I know what you mean. When I listen to this, I basically hear a Hans & Lorne score with some DP stylings.<br><br>It's fairly frustrating for me, as I'm big on proper crediting; I neither want to give anyone undue credit, nor fail to give credit. With this one, honestly, my only strong intuition is that DP did almost nothing.There's not much besides the general consensus that Joseph Trapanese did a lot of the heavy lifting with DP's ideas (though they still contributed a fair bit). Toby Chu doing "Adagio For TRON" is about it, unless you do count the cues that were once listed on JT's website.<br><br>Quite frankly, I'm still having a hard time believing the duo stayed on a project that apparently was primarily managed by someone else. These are guys that have always stressed to have full creative control on their albums and ventures, so to hear that they weren't really driving the wheel here sounds off to me. It certainly would explain why they haven't done a score since, but hey. I probably won't ever know the full story.

Thanks cubsimba! I just tried that with the stampede track, and it rather sounds like Joint Stereo than mono. Anyway, it is a lot better. Thanks so much again!!

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-31 00:00:00
BTW isn't "--To Die For"-- the music from the scene where the hyenas complain to Scar that "--there's no food"-- and he tells them to eat Zazu? That's MY guess...

cubsimba reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-31 00:00:00
You're right, that's where it's been used. I never noticed the little xylophone background beat in the movie during that scene but when I just checked the scene it was there, though barely audible :)

Here's a good and easy trick to enhance the mono tracks in a way they'll sound a lot better:

1) Open them in a sound editor (e.g. Goldwave) and select either of the two channels so you're working with just this one channel.

2) Cut approx. 40ms from the beginning of that channel and slightly emphasize this channel's low frequencies with an equalizer.

3) Now select only the other channel and slightly emphasize just the high frequences.

It's not quite stereo but it'll sound much wider :)

The quality if the stereo tracks is incredible, almost like the original soundtrack! Who needs "--King of Pride Rock"-- from the OST when here there's the magnificent "--The Return / Battle of Pride Rock / Cleansing Rain / The Ascension / End Credits"--? I just so love this track!!!

The tracks are pretty slow.
In fact, the guy who recorded made a mistake.
He pasted tracks from 48Khz to 44,1Khz (CD quality), that' why every track sound slow.
If you want to hear the track as it is supposed to be played, use a sound-editor (soundforge, goldwave, cubase...) copy-paste your actual song directly in a 48Khz file. And then, re-sample it as 44,1Khz.
Now The track plays at correct speed.

Such a thing is pretty strange... was it intentionnal ? Was it made for a longer album ?

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-27 00:00:00
Yes - in fact, I used GoldWave to find out that the tracks have been slowed down by 0.10 <--insert units>-- so I sped them up again. I don't think changing from DAT quality to CD quality causes much loss in quality. Although I still don't understand why some tracks had to be mono....

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-27 00:00:00
Some tracks were okay but the Battle ofn Pride Rock track sounded horrible without speeding it up...it almost made me go to sleep, so slow! :-P

Sicronis reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-27 00:00:00
i have the score 2, but the mono tracks aren't very noticeable unless you turn on the mega bass, isn't it?

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-25 00:00:00
Owners of both the original soundtrack and this score, compare the both and you'll realise how heavily even the little bit of music released on the official album was cut, mixed and edited :( "--This Land"-- is a mixture of the music from "--The Once and Future King"-- and "--You're Mufasa's Boy"--, the stampede music "--To Die For"-- was cut in more than 4 places and thus left out some sensational music, "--King of Pride Rock"-- skips out all the wonderful music from the battle scene. Probably "--Under the Stars"-- is the only track which escaped major cutting and editing.

Lord Villacio reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-24 00:00:00
It seems that all the tracks dealing with scenes from the Stampede to Simba's meeting with Nala are in mono, not just tracks 9-15 or something like that. The proof is that the "--Setting the Trap"-- track, though at no: 2 here, is also in mono.

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-23 00:00:00
By the way did you guys notice that the "--hyenas"-- track from the french version of the Lion King soundtrack is a mixture of the music from "--Plotting"--,"--The Elephant Graveyard"-- and "--Alternate 1"--. And the opening of the official "--King of Pride Rock"-- track is the opening of "--Kings of The Past"-- and the rest of the notes is from the Track 19.

Sure, I just got all the tracks, here's the table to help you:

Misnamed Track Exact Name
------------------- -------------
Track No: 2 "--Setting The Trap"--
Track No: 8 "--Be Prepared"--
Track No: 10 "--The Stampede"--

I don't think any other track is misnamed....but I don't know what scene is the music "--To Die For"-- and "--Hyenas"-- from. Can you guys please tell me?

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-21 00:00:00
And yes, most of the tracks have been slowed down. I first sped them up using GoldWave and then burned them onto another CD :) and unfortunately, Track 2 and Tracks 9-15 are in mono --) but the blazer, Track 19 is of very decent quality, and that is what is important :)

X__Alien reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-20 00:00:00
In fact, most of the tracks have wrong names. I'm hearing right now track 10 "--What Have You Done ? / Run Away"--, and it's the Stampede music (not like the original cd, but a close one).

Can someone post here the correct track names?

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-18 00:00:00
hey, what music is the track "--To Die For"-- from this CD play?

jamadam reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-18 00:00:00
that's right but the overall quality of the album is very good...........even if many tracks are in mono..........at least the whole score is there.......blablablablabla............etcetcetc........

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-16 00:00:00
That's right, you can't expect a bootleg like this to be 100% good quality, and sure many tracks are in mono, but, nevetheless, this is the best bootleg released. I'm going nuts over it, I love it so much!!

Joey reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-15 00:00:00
Tracks are not correct. some are mislabeled, the alternates are not alternates, but songs like "--be prepared"-- and "--can you feel the love tonight"--. with words, tracks exactly like the OST. "--circle of life"-- is just like the OST, alternate 3 is "--This Land"-- from the OST, alternate 4 is "--Under The Stars"-- from the OST.
some tracks are just mislabeled.
For example, some tracks, such as "--Life isnt fair, is it"-- (which, correctly should have been titled "--Life's NOT fair, is it"--) is not from that part of the movie. it is actually the Stampede Introduction.

after weeding out the OST tracks, renaming/reordering the tracks, you come out with a, 16 track 10-star, 192 bit rate, lion king extended bootleg score. Its not the Entire movie, but Totally worth it for Lion King Super-fans like me.

After hours of hunting I found the stampede track and lo! it was in mono.....I was do dissapointed!

Lord Villacio reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-11 00:00:00
the Stampede track would have been better if they removed the loud gong strike and let the awesome percussion rule in the beginning, as it was in the movie (and of course made it stereo)

Lord Villacio reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-11 00:00:00
isn't "--Life isn't Fair..."-- the music played just before the Stampede begins (Scar signals the hyenas)?? I thought it must be from the mouse scene....

Caephalo Trecca reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-07 00:00:00
hey guys i found some tracks from this cd, I nearly fell in a swoon when I listened to Track 19!!!! It is SO wonderful!! The expanded Stampede track is cool too, only if it wasn't mono....k, see ya!

I wish the quality of this CD was as good as the Dinosaur Complete Score CD....

z67 reply Replies: 0 || 2005-06-30 00:00:00
Oops, never mind. Alternate 3 is "--This Land"-- and Alternate 4 is "--Under The Stars"-- (the songs from the original soundtrack). I'm not sure why those two songs are included, seeing as they're both already on this CD anyway (You're Mufasa's Boy, The Once And Future King).

z67 reply Replies: 0 || 2005-06-30 00:00:00
To the hans-zimmer.com team, I was wondering if you have a higher resolution version of the front cover, or even a back cover. Or anybody else who has the score - does anybody have bigger front and back covers?

z67 reply Replies: 0 || 2005-06-29 00:00:00
Okay, I figured out that Alternate 2 is actually "--Can You Feel the Love Tonight,"-- Alternate 3 is actually "--I Just Can't Wait To Be King"-- and Alternate 4 is "--Hakuna Matata."--
