mpolonest123, is there a way I could read your breakdown? I would be really interested on taking a look at it

And yeah, I know there are a lot of themes and their associations are really confusing specially during the first movie, I guess because of the rush job. It's funny how as the saga progressed theme associations became clearer, at least most of the times.oh wow finally... and I like how they finally gave Lorne creditFinally this gets some sort of release outside of China !Well it's complicated cause on the first film it was done such in a hurry that some themes became more "situation themes" than "character themes". But yeah, there's a loooooooooooot !I did a breakdown for the hell of it a while back, the sheer amount of themes/motifs is astounding, not quite as many as Lord of the Rings or Star Wars but very close!

Itís tricky to really place some of the theme meanings in as much as they were repurposed for the other films through temp tracking.
I was recently revisiting all of this scores and I was wondering...

Could anyone help me identify all of the themes from the whole saga and tell mewhat they represent?

I already got a lot of them like the Kraken, Davy Jones, Mermaids, the main theme, etc. But others are still a bit confusing on what they represent, like for example the theme Neely and Badelt created in the first movie that were used in the following movies.

Thanks in advance!why no cd release?Haha! Wear the mask. how fitting.yap. and all of the alternates :PI want that "Final Confrontation" cue so much!
Most of them are done actually and should have been released a while ago !Hybrid why is HZ scoring so many films lately, has he placed a bet with himself or something? lol

Looking forward to it. Boss Baby was a really fun score.I'm confident he would care. Not saying he has any control over it.
I don't think Mondo should be making any money from this release. It ought to be canceled and removed from their website.

It's more than just a tempo issue. The tone is entirely off, and parts that were once pleasing to hear, now sound awful to my ears.

Seems Mondo is lacking the proper quality control. Hopefully this is a wake up call for them. If enough people avoid buying this album or return it, they'll get the message. I like to see capitalism work properly.
Maybe Pope is involved.Great news! The first one is fun, not Zimmerís best animated score imo but itís still pretty enjoyable. I almost wish they got Conrad Pope involved again, ďLoveĒ is one of the most beautiful cues of the past few years.
The first one was quite pretty good.We knew Steve would return for quite some time, but I was surprised Hans would actually return too. But he's very involved with that one.Who is Hans Zimmerman?i want it so much <3I guess it's only fair that they do shoulder the blame, considering again that releases like these aren't really the norm for them. I still wouldn't expect a recall and replacement, since it'd be a lot of money down the drain there. Their loss ultimately at the end of the day.

A bit disappointed about the content being the exact same as the leak, as I would've liked some of the film edits or at least the alt mixes I've seen pop up. I guess I'll just have to hope Disney does end up cooperating with LLL sooner than later.

he has a good main orchestrator - that's all.

The temp track is obvious. They're some inspiration from WILD AMERICA by McNeely and most obviously from STARSHIP TROOPER. The theme we hear in the 4th track is the same as the "--BUG"-- theme composed by Poledouris.

Neverthless, it's a big surprise since it's a Rabin's score and it doesn't sound to his others works very much (except at the end of the track one, when he begins a kind of Armageddon march...).

Really nice surprise !

It's more a peaceful score... not a Pirates of Caribbean stuff... even if it's a war movie...

The orchestrations are incredible considering it's a rabin's score. Nice improvement ! I always knew he was a good composer.

Great Score. Fantastic Orchestration.
Rabin Studied Classical Piano and trained as a conductor and arranger. Finally a great symphonic score here is!
Excellent use of Brass in "--Raid Begins"-- and fantastic Cello in "--Writing Letters"--. Great Work.
Up with Rabin!
