Isn't his problem when people like Bruckheimer wanted a specific sound and give no freedom in his movies.

He works for what is given.I think Lorne already has enough noise behind her, for my liking I should start to give way to quality instead of quantity.ASCAP shows that "Farewell To Lilliput" is credited to Jackman/Willis. Is it correct or there is only Jackman? Just thought may be there is a typo on the site.Any news on the soundtrack for Jack Ryan season 2?I was hoping for Ramin Djawadi to compose The Eternals, well Joseph Trapanese is a good composer so its good news.
John powell is flying lowkey now which sucks, His X3 score is just jaw dropping. The Eternals would be perfect for him cause he'd make it epic but Joseph Trapanese is scoring that Surprised Jablonsky hasn't tackled DC or Marvel yet eitherDamn i miss Klaus, he needs a damn come back. Stupid talentedpush...

please add them...Iíve talked to Lorne (we follow each other on Instagram), he says heís very open to doing a superhero movie.

Plus, Henry Jackman tackling Black Widow isnít a surprise, but itís pleasant news indeed. Heís scored for her during Winter Soldier, so I hope we get an expansion of whatever thematic material there was for her in the Captain America films.

P.S, itís long overdue for Powell to score another superhero movie. X3: The Last Stand is a solid score and Iíd like to hear his ideas for a MARVEL or DC film.He has only had two films get released though this year ?What has IMDB got to do with it ?
I mean 7 films and 2 tv shows from his IMDB with upcoming projects.@James Lorne did 7 films this year and last project will be 6 Underground in December 2019. Also, He has 9 projects with 6 films and 2 tv shows, I checked out from his IMDB with upcoming projects. How many films has Balfeís done this year ?Whatís wrong with Gemini Man?I would love to see Lorne in a superhero movie, but the truth is that his calendar is very changing and that is not good, since it gives the feeling that one day he is making a movie and the next day a different one, and it gives me the feeling that you don't just squeeze the potential of a movie. (I prefer to make a series and a movie and make it spectacular, to make eight movies like Gemini man)
Yeah, I always thought that would be the case for the Academy Awards. Don't know about others but if it's not eligable for the Oscars I can't see Disney submitting it for consideration at any other awards either. Could be wrong - I have the vague notion BATB got an FYC despite being ineligable.

Best thing to hope for is either a leak of the 'sessions' or a future official expanded score release.John Powell composing the eternals would be a dream come true. Itíd be so amazing. I also want Lorne to compose a super hero movie but he has yet to do one which is very odd considering how popular he isvery underrated score - you can't change my mindHenry Jackman seems to be composing Black Widow, it's great news. The bad thing is that Joseph Trapanese composes The Eternals, would have preferred Powell or has one of the Gregson Williams brothers (preferably Harry).Zimmer himself confirmed on Facebook that this score wouldn't be eligible.

Hey,

to all wandering about the song at the end of the movie - i think it is the Beastie Boys (transitions) song. I might be wrong though...

--== THE LAST SONG AT THE END OF THE WEATHERMAN ==--

Hi Hans, I have read all the comments in regards to this song in particular, yet I don't see any answer on any of them. Are you emailing the answers or what's going on?

Please be kind and share the knowledge.

I've been waiting to find out the song at the end of the credits and even in the movie. It's a very tight groove that's just irresistible. Every time I watch the movie and this part comes out I'm going crazy. And it's not the song from Izzy Top, which many people think it is.

Anyone, pleeeasse, Crustation came very close but no cigar. I think I need to call Hans meself.

chris reply Replies: 0 || 2008-01-25 00:00:00
quick question for Hans--

the song during the credit has exactly the same sample/melody from a 1996 Crustation song "Purple" from their "Bloom" album (Crustation was a trip-hop project with a group of producers and a female singer named Bronaugh Slevin).

just wondering Hans... where did you find that sample? it's the one that goes

AB-Ab-Ab-----Ab-Gb

and sounds a bit like a Wurlitzer electric piano or a Rhodes?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

huge fan (and no, I'm not affiliated with the band... just dying to know!)
Chris

I can say that this is the best Zimmer soundtrack of 2005. I really love it. It should be really released as a official CD. The songs are really wonderful. To be honest, I am trully surprised that the music is composed by Hans Zimmer.

it's weird, i've been looking for the song (reggae flavor) and it's not iggy pop cuz it has a slower tempo, no words just plain ambient vibe.

if someone can clarify this and tell me the artist it will be much appreciated.

thanks :)

Big Fan-
Is the main theme based on other music? It reminds me of some thing i heard years back the lyrics at the of the piece that (I think) said; "Don't Hid the Sun". Just curious.
thx

Track 2 is my favorite.

Overall this score is like the icy version of "Matchstick Men"
