Comparing the track times listed here, it seems (at first glance) that many of the tracks are edited down from the complete cues as heard on the bootleg. Could the listed track times be simply incorrect, or have edits been made to make the score fit onto four sides? I guess we can find out when the record ships in July.<br><br>Additionally, for those without a record player it sucks that a CD release was not possible for La-La Land. Whatever the reasons are for that, it's a bizarre situation that one independent label can release the same material on vinyl but another cannot on CD. Quite perplexing...@Hybrid, will you make the Scoob Page?Perhaps "The Cistern (Alternate)" is the album version. The music I heard in the film is not 100% the same with the track I heard in the OST.Dang I cant wait to hear the Alternate 'Cistern' cueVinyl only...How dumb can you get
Lol, you’re right! I though that was Rambo III climbing the cliffs for a moment.LLL made MI 1 Complete. So they are trying to make MI 2 Complete. That could move Varese to make MI 3 Complete. But studio (Disney) don't want it.Use the Wayback Machine on Archive.org - it's all there! :)@Zimson<br>404 not found dudeWhy would a studio allow a vinyl release but no CD or digital release? That's utter nonsense. Almost like they're refusing to make money.
Any clue on where to find this Complete Score?.. and people wonder why there's "bootlegs" out there...Next time, we can expect a wax cylinder release... :(@Jerry<br><br>At the Film Score Monthly message board, MV said that La La Land has been trying to release this one for years but got shot down by the studio. So sadly, a CD release won't happen for nowNo.
Any chance of a CD or Digital release?Yes, is coming this Friday, confirmed by TomI really like this score performed by tom holkenborg of the netflix series "White Lines" and my favorite track is "Infinity" which it was awsome and great dance music i ever heard.<br><br>Btw are any news from the Scoob! Original score by tom holkenborg coming out this friday, right?Time to buy a record player guys!<br><br>Honestly couldn't be more happy about this.yes yes yes!!! the best MI Score :) can't wait!

I believe that "Chevaliers de Sangreal" is by far the best piece of music that I have heard in many years. In the beginning of the piece, I have the image of Mary Magdalene quickly leaving Jerusalem, afraid and fearful of her life. She dies an ignominious death somewhere in southern France, but there are people there to protect her, and her daughter Sarah. They love her with all of their heart, truly wanting her to take her rightful place in the world.

The Chevaliers de Sangreal preserve and protect her blood line throughout history, feeling that this is a holy task. Even so, the soul of Mary Magadalene cries out from the grave in firm conviction of who she was, and who she is, proclaiming her divinity. Then the music cresendos, leaving the listener with the feeling that the proclamation is there, but not complete. The music fades, as if to say that Sophie must freely make up her mind what to do.

I understand why one would feel a sense of being incomplete when hearing this piece, but I feel that this is exactly what Hans Zimmer wanted to so. The story is not yet over, and more chapters have yet to be written, but that is for the royal blood to do.

My congratulations to Hans Zimmer in creating truly an outstanding work of art. If there a regret, it is that I want to hear more of the "Chevaliers de Sangreal", but then again, it is in its incompleteness that makes it great.

Zimmer's score for "The DaVinci Code" is far and away the finest neo classical work today. In an effort to reach the viewers' less pedistrean self, Zimmer creates a locus for the meeting of a series of "God notes", a thema that trancends the earthly realm and transports the listner to a more enlightened plain through the absolute beauty of his work. Bravo Herr Zimmer!

I also love this score, especially "Chevaliers De Sangreal". It is a strong track on its own but when watching the movie it unfolds its power even more - just a perfect emotional end track. I love the way how Hans Zimmer raises tension in his scores that keeps you out of breath and then suddenly releases it with a single deep note. it makes me always feel like "wow!".

I`m writing from Poland. I`m a dj and I usually don`t listen classical music, but I must say that I`m impressed and fascinated of Mr Zimmer productions. Lately I went to cinema to see The Da Vinci Code. Music just killed me and blow me out from my chair - so awesome it was!!! I got already soundtracks from Gladiator, Last Samurai and Da Vinci Code.. and these are the ONLY soundtracks that I have. Great job Mr Zimmer for "Chevaliers De Sangreal" (The Da Vinci Code track 13), awesome tune!!! I enjoy listening it in my club at full speakers power :-)

The ability of Mr. Zimmer to find always the right mixture between movie subject and human feelings is a very well done job.
Now, in his best years, the excellent results of his works, show us that also in the future we will have the silent pleasure to listen and to admire the results of the special gift that the nature gave to him, as an exceptional composer.

The score throughout the film is beautiful yet subdued with a soaring gloom. It is less inspiring and more mood than I anticipated. “Chevaliers De Sangreal” (trk 13.), however, knocks your heart out through your chest cavity. It is like riding a kiddy roller coaster, cute fun and all, and suddenly it jumps the tracks and flies through the Grand Canyon.

Have you seen the movie reviews at IMDb? Many people really critize it, drag it through dust and what to burn it, but in the end they always say something like "it was just the music preventing me from walking out of the theater."

This really has to be one of the best soundtracks of the year. A very mysterious music and very well to be performed at an opera. I read the book and I think that the music fits very well with it. I am really sure that this soundtrack will be nominated at World Soundtrack Award and, why not, at the Golden Globes. Thank you, Mr. Zimmer. Keep on the good work.
