@Hybrid why?Will they’re ever be a release score on YouTube and other websites this is a piece of art beautiful score 18 years later it’s still have been published please answer my question if have this score Gmail it to me it’s elijahboy564@gmail.comProbably not happening...Huh. Weird how Harper and HGW worked on continuous chunks of the movie, like Hans assigned them reel by reel or something...any news about Ad Astra score release?
The words mediocre is not something you use when talking about this score. Kamen score is good but not on this level, and Ottman doesn't even come close. But that's just my opinionYi and Everest Duet, The Leshen Buddha...<br>Absolutely gorgeousAnybody else notice that the track "Spider Attack" actually cuts a fairly noticeable section out at the beginning? When you know who is attacked by the Deadlights, there's those low blasts like the "Deadlights" track from Chapter 1.<br><br>It shouldn't be a biggie though: it seems to be an easily-replicatable section.Is "Preparations - Citadel Left Turn (Alternate)" the extended version of Many Mothers on the OST? Noticed I'm missing a track and the times on both match up perfectly.Little credit update.
Happy Birthday MaestroI actually really liked it. Just listened to it on the train home from work. Really enjoyed Kait's theme and the action cues, as well as the dark tinge to the tracks. <br><br>Is it his best? Not at all. And the album has the misfortune of being released not too long after Ramin's phenomenal GoT score which doesn't help things. But as far as a regular score goes, I've heard a LOT worse.<br>Damn, this is wrong on so many levels> Posts the cuesheet and without additional credits<br>> Thats a paddlin'<br><br>Tom Holkenborg<br><br>INTRO JAKE<br>THE NEWSPAPER<br>GUNSLINGER DREAM<br>HOLY SHIT<br>SKIN PEOPLE COME FOR JAKE<br>PORTAL TO MID WORLD<br>MID WORLD DESERT<br>MOM AND DAD MEET WALTER<br>VISIT TO HOMELESS MAN<br><br><br>Tom Holkenborg, Antonio Di Iorio<br><br>WOODEN GUARD<br>MAN IN BLACK CHECKS IN<br>JAKE MEETS ROLAND<br>ROLAND THREATENS JAKE<br>COME AND GET ME<br>MAN IN BLACK IN NYC<br>TRESPASSER HAS SHINE TO KILL DEMON<br>CAMPFIRE PT 1,2<br>DEMON DAD<br>WALTER PUTS TRACKERS ON ROLAND<br>JAKE SHOWS ARRA HIS VISION<br>ROLAND JAKE ESCAPE THROUGH PORTAL<br>WALTER KILLS ARRA<br>MOM IS DEAD<br>GUN LESSON<br>DIXIE PIG SHOOTOUT PT 2<br>WALTER MANIPULATES JAKE<br>FINAL FIGHT<br>COME WITH ME<br><br><br>Tom Holkenborg, Aljoscha Christenhuß<br><br>DOCTOR ANALYZES DREAMS<br>HOMELESS MAN WARNS JAKE<br>JAKE ESCAPES FROM SKIN PEOPLE<br>TAHEEN IN THE FOREST<br>KIDS TRY TO BREAK THE BEAM<br>SOMETHING GOT OUT<br>ARRIVE AT MANNY VILLAGE<br>HE'S STILL A GUNSLINGER<br>TAHEEN DESTROY GENERATOR<br>VILLAGE ATTACK<br>TRACES OF PORTAL ACTIVITY<br>GUN STORE SHOOTOUT<br>DIXIE PIG SHOOTOUT PT 1GEMA Credits:<br><br>WOODEN GUARD	<br>MAN IN BLACK CHECKS IN	<br>JAKE MEETS ROLAND<br>ROLAND THREATENS JAKE<br>COME AND GET ME<br>MAN IN BLACK IN NYC	<br>TRESPASSER HAS SHINE TO KILL DEMON<br>CAMPFIRE PT. 1	<br>CAMPFIRE PT. 2	<br>DEMON DAD	<br>WALTER PUTS TRACKERS ON ROLAND	<br>JAKE SHOWS ARRA HIS VISION	l<br>ROLAND JAKE ESCAPE THROUGH PORTAL	<br>WALTER KILLS ARRA	<br>MOM IS DEAD	<br>GUN LESSON	<br>DIXIE PIG SHOOTOUT PT. 2<br>WALTER MANIPULATES JAKE	<br>FINAL FIGHT	<br>COME WITH ME<br>DOCTOR ANALYZES DREAMS<br>HOMELESS MAN WARNS JAKE<br>JAKE ESCAPES FROM SKIN PEOPLE <br>TAHEEN IN THE FOREST	<br>KIDS TRY TO BREAK THE BEAM	<br>SOMETHING GOT OUT <br>ARRIVE AT MANNI VILLAGE	<br>HE S STILL A GUNSLINGER	<br>TAHEEN DESTROY GENERATOR	<br>VILLAGE ATTACK	<br>TRACES OF PORTAL ACTIVITY <br>GUN STORE SHOOTOUT<br>DIXIE PIG SHOOTOUT PT. 1<br>INTRO JAKE	<br>THE NEWSPAPER	<br>GUNSLINGER DREAM	<br>HOLY SHIT	<br>SKIN PEOPLE COME FOR JAKE	<br>PORTAL TO MID WORLD	<br>MID WORLD DESERT	<br>MOM AND DAD MEET WALTER <br>VISIT TO HOMELESS MAN
Did Powell write Tai Lung’s theme?So I've finished watching the movie for a second time. Here's my input:<br><br>Gap, Amity, Intimate, Negative, & Insertion are pretty much untouched. Dark is chopped up to fit the picture, and Frameshift, Reckless, & Coda have alternative, extended takes compared to what we actually hear in the album.<br><br>Still one of Zimmer's best. It's no Man Of Steel, but it's still a great listen.Yes! Please come!After Hans wrote the theme, Kruger wrote lyrics for the song.<br><br>You can hear Samara's chant :<br><br>- First Viewing => obviously Rachel watching the video for the first time.<br>- Pretty Fly For A White Girl => when Rachel starts making a copy of the video and notices the fly.<br>- Aidan Sees The Tape => when Aidan... sees the tape... lol<br>- Mom, What's With The Baggie? => full rendition of the song, when Samara sings it in front of the well, and gets a bad bag surprise...<br>- It's Going To Go On... => when Aidan makes a copy at the very end.<br>- End Credits Continued => after HZ's Ring Suite, the song plays fully and with the music box background.Interesting, I was wondering what those Ehren Kruger credits on gema were for

Celice is a single from the latest album "Analogue" by A-Ha (composed by Magne Furuholmen/ Martin Terefe -- lyrics by Magne Furuholmen). They just used this song on the film -- it was not composed specially for it.

Sobky reply Replies: 0 || 2006-05-06 00:00:00
Does anyone know if the music from the site of the movie will be in the score.

P Lomax reply Replies: 0 || 2006-05-05 00:00:00
Celice by a-ha should have teamed up with the film,A-ha are a very misunderstood band but they had a great track for the Da Vinci code which has sadly lost its way,I'l bet there was money invloved or Lack of?Hans is good though but A-ha Would have been fantastic!

S Hughes reply Replies: 0 || 2006-05-05 00:00:00
The a-ha track"Celice" should have been on this.Hans is good but a-ha are Great!

On our News from February, the 27th, we put an extract from a Jim Dooley's Interview ; we could read :
"Hans has all ready... pardon the pun... cracked the code, so to speak. Before I came in to lift a finger, he'd written a 700-bar suite for this score, it's pretty breathtaking, my participation in this is not so much the upfront writer, but more the extension due to the slightly accelerated schedule of production, we've been scoring four weeks from yesterday, so it's pretty tight."

Ron should hired Arvo Part to do the scores.

Carter reply Replies: 0 || 2006-05-01 00:00:00
Myotis , Hans is the composer of the soundtrack so he's of course an arranger of the score :)
Dooley's an additionnal composer ( additionnal music) for this score right.

Richard Harvey also composed the last song "Kyrie For The Magdaleine" ( strange this track isnt listed on this page )

NICOLAS-----WEBMASTER---ONE QUESTION FOR YOU, PLEASE

JIm dooley is credited to the cd as Additional arranger or as additional music?
Is Zimmer credited as Arranger?

(If you have the cd released)

From here you can find quite a lot of information on the soundtrack:
http://www.iclassics.com/productDetail?contentId=64530

And here I have gathered the sound which I hope is from the Soundtrack by Hanz Zimmer which is played as background music for the site of the film. The Style is Zimmer's Style and if the vocals in the soundtrack are going to be this smart, therefore we're in for a big one from Zimmer. Here are the highlights as one mp3:

http://www.geocities.com/mauro3589/HansZimmer-DaVinciCode.mp3

Mauro reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-19 00:00:00
Those who are interesteed in this score should visit the da vinci code site: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thedavincicode/

There are some really good excerpts from the score in the background and if you give some time and then click on the da vinci gallery you have some more music. Some very good vocal parts of the score could easily be heard in the trailer.

To finish up the tracklist given in the site contains another track: 14. Kyrie For The Magdalene

I still have my doubts about some names altough they are in Latin, I could still follow them and they don't seem to follow the book. I hope that the film is truthfull to the book... This might be one of the best scores Zimmer might have produced considering the parts I have listened from the site

Jesse Stipek reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-18 00:00:00
Here is an audio excerpt from the film that could possibly be the music from the film:

As for the dialogues? I personally don't think so.

Jesse

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-17 00:00:00
Oh and by the way, does anyone know if they're having dialogues in any of the tracks of this album? I really hope not.

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-17 00:00:00
I'm wondering why Soundtrack.net is not having a 'First Listen' for this highly anticipated score...

8-5-2006 means May 8th --)

Jesse Stipek reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-14 00:00:00
Ah. We read it a little different here in the states. :p

Jesse Stipek reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-14 00:00:00
Any idea as to when he will release some samples? Because if I remember right, Harry Gregson-Williams did that with his Narnia score before the soundtrack even came out.

Because August 5 is a bit far off.... usually soundtracks are released before the movie. (In my experiance, that is).

Jesse

Nicolas, Webmaster reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-13 00:00:00
ok, guys

I'd like you to explain how this score can be rated 85% ? It's not released yet !!! ---)

Please, try to give an evaluation just when you listened to the score, it would be better for the credibility from this rating place !! :-)

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-11 00:00:00
I do hope that they won't include any dialogues into this one like they did for Hannibal. No matter how well it's performed, the dialogues never really work for me and I find them irritating.
