Damn Powell is doing a lot of music on his own now a days with not many additional writers. I hope he takes on more project that aren’t just animated. I really miss his music, he’s so ridiculously talented.And even then, people rate before listening to it...The version on this page is actually sound effects-free!Sehr Geehrter Herr Zimmer, du hast viele Fans in Polen. Lassen Sie es uns wissen, wenn Sie nach Polen kommen. Wir haben mehrere Orte, an denen Sie Ihre Arbeit präsentieren können. Sie sind hier herzlich willkommen.<br>-------------------------<br>Dear Mr. Zimmer, you have many fans in Poland. Let us know when you come to Poland. All sounds really good!<br>Tracks 1, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 16, 19 are wonderful.Macejko: i do tooI for one believe they should not allow user ratings until the album has been released.I really like it! It's like a HTTYD with a twang to it.I do. And other collectors too. LOL.
Felix: some people buy CD-s yet nowadays, some people thinks, if a music is a masterpiece in it's own, then they can appreciate the composer's work with some money, even that money going to the publisherWho needs CDs?? LoLAs far as I know, no.<br><br>Sadly. <br><br>I would love to get my hands on a "clean" version. Love the score!Well ok, but how to get the song itself on physical cd, if its not on this soundtrack. There is now official Single CD yet for the Song ... :/Are there any versions that movie sound effects, such as car noise, have disappeared?
I really hope that for the inevitable sequel they dump the songs and focus a bit more on the actual score. I listened to the album again and there's definitely a lot that they can expand upon. <br><br>Mike Bay (through his movies) is one of the "founders" of the MV/RC sound so it sucks to see him relying on so much freakin' songs nowadays. And it's not only him.....<br><br>That's why themes have disappeared. Composers just don't have the chance to create more. And I'm sure it's frustrating for them to deal with all of this. So don't blame ONLY the composer when a score doesn't feel satisfying enough. God knows how many other people have a say in all of this...Bay should work with Jerry Bruckheimer again.<br>================<br><br><br>That is something a lot of people are hoping for :)<br><br>The days of The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor and Bad Boys 2 were awesome. You saw trailers that simply said "From Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer" and audiences knew exactly what they gonna get. Those were some very exciting days. <br><br>I don't think we will see another Armageddon-sized reunion of Michael and Jerry but hey......at least we have their previous movies to enjoy. I'm grateful for that :) <br><br>P.S. Armageddon NEEDS to be re-released in IMAX 3D. It's the perfect movie for this format.doesn't look like it but per the announcement on 007.com an 'epic sweeping instrumental orchestral version' of it will beWill the Song "No Time to Die" from Billie Eilish on the CD release of this Album?If you care about Ben's work in horror, you gonna like this (the strings and themes sounds mostly like A Cure for Wellness), and lots of abrasive electronics.<br><br>If you don't care, that's other story.

Celice is a single from the latest album "Analogue" by A-Ha (composed by Magne Furuholmen/ Martin Terefe -- lyrics by Magne Furuholmen). They just used this song on the film -- it was not composed specially for it.

Celice by a-ha should have teamed up with the film,A-ha are a very misunderstood band but they had a great track for the Da Vinci code which has sadly lost its way,I'l bet there was money invloved or Lack of?Hans is good though but A-ha Would have been fantastic!

S Hughes reply Replies: 0 || 2006-05-05 00:00:00
The a-ha track"Celice" should have been on this.Hans is good but a-ha are Great!

On our News from February, the 27th, we put an extract from a Jim Dooley's Interview ; we could read :
"Hans has all ready... pardon the pun... cracked the code, so to speak. Before I came in to lift a finger, he'd written a 700-bar suite for this score, it's pretty breathtaking, my participation in this is not so much the upfront writer, but more the extension due to the slightly accelerated schedule of production, we've been scoring four weeks from yesterday, so it's pretty tight."

rsfun2000 reply Replies: 0 || 2006-05-03 00:00:00
Ron should hired Arvo Part to do the scores.

Carter reply Replies: 0 || 2006-05-01 00:00:00
Myotis , Hans is the composer of the soundtrack so he's of course an arranger of the score :)
Dooley's an additionnal composer ( additionnal music) for this score right.

Richard Harvey also composed the last song "Kyrie For The Magdaleine" ( strange this track isnt listed on this page )

NICOLAS-----WEBMASTER---ONE QUESTION FOR YOU, PLEASE

JIm dooley is credited to the cd as Additional arranger or as additional music?
Is Zimmer credited as Arranger?

From here you can find quite a lot of information on the soundtrack:
http://www.iclassics.com/productDetail?contentId=64530

And here I have gathered the sound which I hope is from the Soundtrack by Hanz Zimmer which is played as background music for the site of the film. The Style is Zimmer's Style and if the vocals in the soundtrack are going to be this smart, therefore we're in for a big one from Zimmer. Here are the highlights as one mp3:

Mauro reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-19 00:00:00
Those who are interesteed in this score should visit the da vinci code site: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thedavincicode/

There are some really good excerpts from the score in the background and if you give some time and then click on the da vinci gallery you have some more music. Some very good vocal parts of the score could easily be heard in the trailer.

To finish up the tracklist given in the site contains another track: 14. Kyrie For The Magdalene

I still have my doubts about some names altough they are in Latin, I could still follow them and they don't seem to follow the book. I hope that the film is truthfull to the book... This might be one of the best scores Zimmer might have produced considering the parts I have listened from the site

Jesse Stipek reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-18 00:00:00
Here is an audio excerpt from the film that could possibly be the music from the film:

As for the dialogues? I personally don't think so.

Oh and by the way, does anyone know if they're having dialogues in any of the tracks of this album? I really hope not.

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-17 00:00:00
I'm wondering why Soundtrack.net is not having a 'First Listen' for this highly anticipated score...

Jesse Stipek reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-14 00:00:00
Ah. We read it a little different here in the states. :p

Jesse Stipek reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-14 00:00:00
Any idea as to when he will release some samples? Because if I remember right, Harry Gregson-Williams did that with his Narnia score before the soundtrack even came out.

Because August 5 is a bit far off.... usually soundtracks are released before the movie. (In my experiance, that is).

Jesse

ok, guys

I'd like you to explain how this score can be rated 85% ? It's not released yet !!! ---)

Please, try to give an evaluation just when you listened to the score, it would be better for the credibility from this rating place !! :-)

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2006-04-11 00:00:00
I do hope that they won't include any dialogues into this one like they did for Hannibal. No matter how well it's performed, the dialogues never really work for me and I find them irritating.
