I'm curious, who do you think mostly wrote 'Tai Lung Escapes'?

I've always loved that track, and always felt that it was mostly a John Powell cue, although that very dark first part could easily be Hans' work. I could also see it being a Henry Jackman cue though... I don't know. :pPaul Manafort time for Balfe: I am guilty of wasting money and providing really terrible and cheap scores for high production value films. It is not my fault they hired me - I blame this on my much more impressive superiors. So, don't come back to me to try claim money. It is not my fault I have no talent.The two note variation on an actual Kramer theme is not Balfe using existent themes. I know Balfe and his boys probably wrote most of these positive comments (I mean who the frigging fuck else would defend this shit unless they were deaf) but even Balfe is gringing thinking about the shit he pulled.

If there was any justice he would be prosecuted for wasting resources and pretending to be an expert.What the two note variation on an actual Kramer theme - you call that Balfe using existent themes. You lot have low, low standards. I know Balfe and his boys probably wrote most of these positive comments (I mean who the frigging fuck else would do unless you are deaf) but have a bit of sense Balfe boys.Have you actually ever listened to film music, or work done in the MI franchise? You might think different if you knew better. I know you are probably 11 and this is the first score you have ever heard, but have some time to think about film music in general.
Yes, Jewen has not listened to ANY action or film scores this year. What is wrong with you, seriously. I actually walked past a shop having renovations done and with the clamour thought someone was playing the latest 'cool' single. Sounded a lot like the industrial noise here. Turned out it was actually industrial noise from some guys molding a hatch. How have we got to a stage when construction workers make better music than actual composers? Seriously. Have a look at yourself, and have an even more thorough look at Zimmer as the embodiment of this retardation.Stairs and Rooftops....WOOOW Easily one of the best film tracks of 2018. Simply Amazing!!!It's the first action score by Balfe i didn't hate this year, thank god!

It's not the best thing in years, but is a fun action score (Free Fall and Escape Through Paris, are good action tracks), plus, altough is 96 minutes, never get boredAnd the link for the CD

https:/ /www. amazon.com/gp/product/B07F3QP2HX/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie= UTF8&tag=filmusrep-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASI N=B07F3QP2HX&linkId=8fcd06899e5999dd491abf60fe6dcf6dTracklist for The Darkest Minds (Milan Records)

1. mvictor: it's funny, 3:10 To Yuma is perhaps the only Beltrami score I really like :-p

In my opinion, what made Dunkirk special is that it's a Zimmer score, so it sounds better, massive, impressive, while most horror scores stay in the background except for a few jump scares that are not pleasing at all when you listen to the album. Dunkirk is a tension-builder, but it's more than that.

You should definitely listen to Gravity a couple more times, it's an absolutely amazing score, in my opinion better than Dunkirk, as it's equally tense and massive, but has more refined electronic manipulation, it's more colorful and it's simply more musical. Go straight to the track 'Shenzou', play it very loud, and you'll see what I mean :-pHats off to Hybrid Soldier dealing with all you ungrateful cancerous rude spammers. I just wish they had included the finale in both the SW story scores all the music complied together would have been greatfinally got to listen to a quiet place. it has indeed the atmospheric vibe i got from dunkirk. although i will give it another listen before deciding. anyways, you have great ears Ds. and you said you listened to the background music during the movie even, wow!

after that i got to listen to 3:10 to yuma, which went straight onto my wishlist. and made me research Marco Beltrami. no idea how i never heard from his scores till now! he is very amazing on those two scores i have listened to so far.

now, i realized that (most) horror movies might have that atmospheric/ambient sound. so i wondered what makes dunkirk special? pretty sure it is that tension that never seems to fade (not the nimrod theme though). most horror movies are to scare you at particular moments. dunkirk keeps the tension constant. so much that you get comfortable with it. that's what makes it so special for me.

will keep looking. oh i tried captain philips and gravity too. will give those another listen.Moggyman, forever friends : )nvictor, I actually think Dunkirk is better than BR2049 for a couple reasons:

1) Even though BR2049 had some interesting themes, most of the soundtrack was too quiet for me and lost my interest during parts of the album. Dunkirk on the otherhand really maintained by interest almost throughout the entire album due to the intensity of the music.

2) BR2049 soundtrack feels like an attempt to mimic Vangelis' Blade Runner score, whereas Dunkirk is original and unique (except the fact that Zimmer's work isn't completely original, which doesn't bother me at all).It is off topic, but I was really wondering. What do you think about composers doing fan mades on youtube? Do you have a favorite one?

I always thought that Hans was heavily (and secretly) involved here as a composer, but it's nice to see that it was indeed Steve who was running the show. He had help on some cues, but he was still involved in every track. It's not something you see every day when it comes to MV/RC scores. So props to him!

Chechof reply Replies: 1 || 2014-07-09 08:16:53
So where do i get this insanely good score? Didnt know it existed, i had the "normal" score which features less than half of this tracks.

Bayhem2017-07-17 13:42:51
Tell me about. I would pay top dollar for this complete score. Over 70 tracks! Amazing.

you won't get this information from here

Kampfkeks462013-09-15 18:32:38
But this Soundtrack is sooooo AWESOME! I Love it so.

Areozz2013-09-16 00:38:01
The fact that you love this soundtrack so much doesn't affect what kind of information is allowed to be discussed on here.

MacArthur2013-09-16 00:42:42
What are the scores Pirated or something, I mean if the guy is willing to pay money to the people who made the score, wouldn't it be fair to let him get it.

Kampfkeks462013-09-16 09:43:10
Yes. I don't care if I have to pay money for this Score. The fact is, that I Love this Score very much!

MacArthur2013-09-16 18:24:47
Cool that will be $1200. lol

Kampfkeks462013-09-17 06:50:59
But then I have to pay it in "Euro" (), because I am from Germany. I hope they will release this Complete Score soon, so I can buy it.

This version is not a real expanded.
I make a version with true parts unreleased from the DVD. The result is very good (with lot of work in cool edit lol) and I publish the tracklist soon. ;)

Rgravity reply Replies: 0 || 2008-01-01 00:00:00
The reason why they post these Expanded Scores is for archival reasons, research, and what the composer has made in his/hers career including that of expanded/promo/complete scores.

Patrick P reply Replies: 0 || 2007-12-28 00:00:00
Can someone give a chronological list of the tracks from the 2 versions (official and bootleg) as they are used in the movie?
I have this 2 versions, but I want to make a playlist in the same order as the movie.
By the way, it's a very nice score, I love the "quiet" pieces.

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2007-10-14 00:00:00
why call it expanded score soundtrack, when all of the new tracks are just longer versions and repetitions of the tracks in the official score? There are still loads of music missing and no plans of release. it's so frustrating..

Rob W reply Replies: 0 || 2007-05-25 00:00:00
Its all very well advertising the fact that there are bootleg versions of scores but for someone like me who loves movie scores - ITS FRUSTRATING!!!! All it does to people like me is annoy me, its a tease to put info on expanded versions of scores on a website and then tell us its not available - whats the point!?! You may as well not bother to tell us if there is no chance of us being able to buy it for ourselves or download it. Giving us 30 seconds of a sample is just as annoying because its just enough time to get into the track and then it ends - AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!! If you're going to show off these great 2 disc versions of scores - LET US BUY THEM - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE

Uluk reply Replies: 0 || 2006-08-17 00:00:00
