I have a question about a song from this documentary that is not on the soundtrack. Could anyone please tell me the track at approximately 47:35? Thunder is cracking, Pantani begins his attack on the Galibier, and Matt Rendell is there with eloquent narration. I got so swept up in the score at this point that I spent over an hour rewinding and Shazaming and looking up all of Balfe, Aruj, and Dworetsky's music I cound fine. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thaks,
SamThey all sound the same. Bland.So what do you think about the westworld competition and what is your most favorite entry?In sound quality (regardless of what certain peope might say about how great LPs sound; it's an analog format) the bootleg already trumps it I guess...I have the same question as well
It could be possible, but there would be too many seconds of overlap between some of these tracks for that to be a possibility in this specific case. I really hope they haven't cut down the tracks to fit on vinyl, otherwise the bootleg will trump it in terms of content.Maybe the different time lengths is due to tracks slightly overlapping each other (as in many HZ soundtrack releases)?Comparing the track times listed here, it seems (at first glance) that many of the tracks are edited down from the complete cues as heard on the bootleg. Could the listed track times be simply incorrect, or have edits been made to make the score fit onto four sides? I guess we can find out when the record ships in July.

Additionally, for those without a record player it sucks that a CD release was not possible for La-La Land. Whatever the reasons are for that, it's a bizarre situation that one independent label can release the same material on vinyl but another cannot on CD. Quite perplexing...@Hybrid, will you make the Scoob Page?Perhaps "The Cistern (Alternate)" is the album version. The music I heard in the film is not 100% the same with the track I heard in the OST.
Dang I cant wait to hear the Alternate 'Cistern' cueVinyl only...How dumb can you getLol, you’re right! I though that was Rambo III climbing the cliffs for a moment.LLL made MI 1 Complete. So they are trying to make MI 2 Complete. That could move Varese to make MI 3 Complete. But studio (Disney) don't want it.Use the Wayback Machine on Archive.org - it's all there! :)
@Zimson
404 not found dudeWhy would a studio allow a vinyl release but no CD or digital release? That's utter nonsense. Almost like they're refusing to make money.Any clue on where to find this Complete Score?.. and people wonder why there's "bootlegs" out there...Next time, we can expect a wax cylinder release... :(

In response to Will Scott, dated 2007/11/02--here is the first verse to Little Ducks from the soundtrack of Crimson Tide:

Eternal Father! strong to save,
Whose arm doth bind the restless wave,
Who bid’st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;

O Saviour, whose almighty word,
The winds and waves submissive heard,
Who walkedst on the foaming deep,
And calm amid its rage didst sleep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
Amen.

This soundtrack is truly amazing. I heard "Roll Tide" on a YouTube video and loved it so much, I had to find where it came from. Now I have the album, and what can I say? It is perfect. Thank you Mr. Zimmer!

There are some lyrics in the second verse that differ slightly from the official Navy hymn. I was curious about that too. There are many versions, and this particular hymn has been adopted by many with changes and additions. Here is the closest match to what is in the soundtrack.
-----------
Oh Saviour whose almighty word,
The winds and waves submissive heard,
Who walkest on the foaming deep,
and calm amid it's rage did sleep
Oh hear us when we cry to thee,
for those in peril on the sea.

This was the first soundtrack by ANY composer I had ever bought. I was fifteen. This was the soundtrack that made me a Hans Zimmer fan. After I saw the movie, I went right out to buy this album. The main theme in this soundtrack is my favorite of his, because it started my obsession with his music, and becoming a composer myself. I always feel great when I listen to it. I will forever be grateful that I chose Hans Zimmer as my favorite composer. Thank you, Mr. Zimmer for your passion, and influences.

No additional lyrics were used for Eternal Father Strong to Save simply Zimmer used lyrics which are not after each other.

Hi - I am curious to know the lyrics that are used in the "Little Ducks" track. I know that it is the hymn Eternal Father Strong to Save but there appears to be additional words in the verse that I have not been able to find on the net and are indistinct on the track... anyone able to assist? Thanks!

The best part to this CD was both Mutiny and Roll Tide, both which tell the movie, but with music and not words or pictures. 10/10, hands down. The others were passable, but Mutiny and Roll Tide embody the words Epic, Heroic and life.

Keep going Zimmer!

Roll Tide is also a "chant" for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. That is where the term "roll tide" came from - when the team began wearing crimson-colored jerseys and took the field, they looked like a "crimson tide" and the fans would cheer, "roll tide, roll!"

The main theme from Crimson Tide is actually the first piece of yours that I'd heard. We played Roll Tide for my senior band concert. (Sadly, we didn't do it justice) After I heard the piece I fell in love with your compositions. I went out and bought several of the soundtracks with your music on it. This got me hooked on your compositions. Its a great CD.

It is a great score Zimmer. I really love the Male choir. It gives magic to you music. This is another big one and like The Rock it is refreshing every single time I listen to it. The Expanded is also lovely and when I need some good music with action &-- splender of perfection, this is one of those scores I would like to pick. It is a well &-- truly a perfect score &-- even goes hand-in-hand with the motion picture. Keep on giving us more music like this one Zimmer. --) 5 stars of 5 without doubt
