Giacchino IS going to be in Spider-Man 3, but if Raimi is in Doctor Strange 2, 100% sure is going to be Elfman (or Christopher Young, which some people spread the rumor before Giacchino get the gig for Doc 1)

But, i'm not big fan of Giacchino's work for Spidey (neither Zimmer's TASM2)I really like Elfman, especially his early work or scores like Alice In Wonderland, Dumbo or parts kf Age Of Ultron.

But please let Giacchino score both Spider-Man 3 & Doctor Strange 2. His scores for the Marvel films and his other work are outstanding. It would be a shame to let someone else take his 2 trilogy of movies in the MCU.Like everyone else, I've been looking for the "Safe in my Arms" song...for over 15 years!

I spoke with Valerie a while back and she did not have a way for me to purchase the song :(

See you guys in another 15 years!Well my bet is that either Elfman or Giacchino will end up scoring the film, and we all know how willing they are to use other composers' themes. :p

I severely doubt either Horner's or Zimmer's theme will reappear. If Giacchino scores it he'll probably write yet another theme or rework his own Spidey theme, and if Elfman gets the gig I expect him to just use his own theme.Well, it's either an edit of these cues, or it's an original one, recorded in that form (theme suite or something like that), and the other film cues are just based on that one!
So more and more websites have been saying that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are going to have cameos in Doctor Strange 2. Which begs the question, if Garfield appears and they do use unique music for him, what theme are they gonna use for him? Horner's or Zimmer's?

Horner's is probably more revered, but neither theme is necessarily iconic among general audiences since they each only had one movie to develop.It happened with Sherlock Holmes 2 OST.Thank you, but I noticed that Tennessee is actually a micro edited hell of End Titles + Main Titles + Danny & Evelyn Make Love :/I think I know what happend here:

They somehow messed up the sampling rate of either the source files or while recording the master.

When I record a part in 48kHz on my computer and play it back at 44.1kHz it sounds right to my ears.

I'm of course not sure if that's a mistake on paramount or mondo's end but i'ts pretty weird that something like this can happen without someone noticing it...The original soundtrack of rebuilding paradise will be release next week in november 6, 2020 at Lakeshore Records and here's is the tracklist

1.Rebuilding Paradise
2.Day Of Fire
3.One Year Anniversary
4.Return To Ashes
5.Fire Reunited Family
6.Aftermath
7.We're Coming Back
8.Memorial
9.Love Of The Land

Total Album Time: (34:40)
timo : unfortunately nowhere...

Mr Tweedy thanks for the explanation !

And you're right, few cues really sound HGW...

Hi Per,

If you look at the same interview, Zimmer explains why he was called : Michael Bay didn't liked the themes of Nick. He loved the music, but not the themes. Zimmer was called to write new themes in order to replace G-Smith's ones, while keeping the overall NGS style.

I'm maybe wrong, but I ever thought that the new Zimmer themes were replacing those 3 themes of NGS's The Rock ideas.
Zimmer also said something like "I wrote a few material, but since it's used many times in the movie, it sounds like I did a lot of the music, but it's definitely Nick's score". Of course, Zimmer must be talking about the main theme which is used so many times in the score. He wrote the themes, but NGS did the arrangements of it, this is why it sounds NGS... any comment? :P

Mr Tweedy said:

"Zimmer said he wrote 3 themes to replace NGS's original ones. If it is true, Zimmer replaced the 3 themes from "The Rock Ideas" : -> main theme, mason's theme & the guitar theme (for goodspeed & his girlfriend)...."

Have he said this in a interview ? (if he did, do you remember which one, and if it's still avaible somewhere, do you have a link for it, maybe ?

I've read Zimmer said in interview(s) that "The Rock was really Nick's score, except I wrote a couple of themes on it.", but if that means 2, or 3 themes, and I don't know if the themes he made for it, replaced the 3 'rejected' (?)/demos/ideas themes by NG-S, i don't know.

Personally i always have thought that The Rock is Nick Glennie-Smith's score ('main' composer), regardless of who's written what, and how much... it's not necessarely the one who has composed the main themes that are the main composer, and the same the other way around (in other 'cases')

But it would have been interesting to know exactly who did which themes, cues etc. on it (along with all the other scores too) ;)

Where can you buy* this cd ?

Mr Tweedy reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-15 00:00:00
Harry Gregson-Williams told once he worked on the Chase music, but he's not credited... maybe Harper just did some part of it and not completely.
Zimmer said he wrote 3 themes to replace NGS's original ones. If it is true, Zimmer replaced the 3 themes from "The Rock Ideas" : -> main theme, mason's theme & the guitar theme (for goodspeed & his girlfriend).

Zimmer & NGS worked closely, maybe a great part of the score is from both of them... cannot really tell who did what. HGW's parts are pretty obvious, since he used a lot of the same sound samples in many other movies (Armageddon, Metal Gear Solid, Replacement Killers...), his "sound" is very recognizable. I would say he composed a lot of the fight scenes in the tunnels, the morgue music, and maybe some cues of the last scene (when Goodspeed confronts the last surviving marine).

On the other SFX bootlegs (and even if it is low quality ;-)) missing tracks can be found :

- The "Marriage" track (0:50) in a good quality...
- The "This is not training" track (1:02) in a quite bad quality LOL because of SFX...

I don't know if there's other missing track available on these SFX boots... At least it's better than nothing...

Dawn reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-12 00:00:00
Why adding the End Credits ?
It's only a mix of previously hears cues from this expanded CD in a lower audio quality due to DVD compression...

Unknown reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-12 00:00:00
@D Wade:

This is what i know (not 100% sure):

The Chase - Don Harper
Opening Title - Hans Zimmer
Mine Music - Harry Gregson Williams
Jade Music, Lift Off, and more - Nick Glennie Smith

There also some rumors that James Newton Howard has written some parts :)

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-12 00:00:00
We can also add to this expanded the End Credits track from the 24 tracks SFX expanded (5:33) !

;-)

Mr Tweedy, you said :

"The scene when mason goes through the flames to open the door is also missing, but fortunately, that cue is on the official release."

I really want to know which part of which track of the Official release it is ! ;-)

It's on track 4 - In The tunnels, the first 48 seconds! (the last few seconds are mixed together with the next cue (Welcome To The Rock)
...Like it is usually done on most of the CD soundtracks by Zimmer etc.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-11 00:00:00
Thank you Per...

Do you know where to put this little important cue in the chronological order given by Dawn before ?

;-)

Per reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-11 00:00:00
"Do you know where to put this little important cue in the chronological order given by Dawn before ? "

->
Right before the 'Welcome To The Rock'
(these two cues are actually in the correct chronological order on the CD (although they overlap by a few seconds on the CD)
So because of that, I guess it won't be that easy to extract this short piece from the CD (perfectly), without including the beginning of the 'Welcome To The Rock' - cue.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-11 00:00:00
Yes indeed you're right Per, it's quite difficult ! ^^

I've done what I could...

Anyway it's better than nothing ! :-)

Thank you again !

Mr Tweedy reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-11 00:00:00
I did the mix myself of the beginning of "welcome to the rock" and is pretty well made...
but huuuum... I think I'm better not to give my e-mail, right, or I'll have 20.000.000 asks for the complete score !

But this score is great because we have a perfect relation between Zimmer, NGS and HGW music and styles...

You better hold that Mr Tweedy! We may never know, Hans may come up with something much better than what he's already offered us. Then you'll have to come back to this business again and... well... We don't want to lose our reputation for being the man of our words then, do we? LOL

Compatto, you gotta point there bud but take it easy. Only hardcore fans go after and find these releases and I can assure you that these people know who was in charge! ;-)

Mr Tweedy reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-06 00:00:00
Hey Hybrid Soldier,
Well, as I'm a fanatic of Black Hawk Down, the "patchwork" of both official CD, DVD music, and promo releases doesn't really suits me.
I'd like to hear the music as it used in the movie, and not the collage some guy has made on his computer. lol

Of course Sylvos, if Zimmer (or Gregson-Williams, Powell etc...) does something incredible not released, I'd have to come back (sounds really dramatic !).
But my want list was : Face/Off, The Rock, BHD, Thin Red Line, Armageddon and Bad Boys. I've most of those now... can't wait for the few missing ones !
The only missing cue I've found from The Thin Red Line is an instrumental reprise of one of the melanesian songs, on a Badelt promo, unfortunately the only one :'(

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-06 00:00:00
Hey Mr Tweedy, the 3 CD Black Hawk Down isn't bad... ;-)

But you're right, I can't wait for a Thin Red Line Complete... ^^

Mr Tweedy reply Replies: 0 || 2007-01-05 00:00:00
Yeah, I hope the treasure chest will open again soon.
Can't wait for expanded versions of the two score I love so much : The Thin Red Line and Black Hawk Down.
After those ones, I'll disappear from the complete score trading universe... coz my mission will be accomplished ! :P

Why is write Hans Zimmer in the cover?
The lead composer of the score is Nick Glennie-Smith
