Everan, this doesn't make any sense, actually, "I'm Electro" is the film version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider Theme", if you watch the scene in the movie again, you will notice that the film version has the little fragment at the 0:13 seconds mark of "I'm Electro", while the unreleased "Itsy Bitsy Spider" listed here doesn't have it, better saying, "I'm Electro" is actually the true film version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider", while the version we know is just a Alternate.CedParker and Mandarin, almost all of them are in Youtube.
Just one in specific, I can't find anywhere, which is the alternate of "Electro Showdown, Part 1".
Also, I'm still not sure if the alternate of "Electro Showdown, Part 2" listed here, and the version uploaded by the channel "1M1" are the same...I have two questions, where did you got the alternate of "Electro Showdown, Part 1"?
And the alternate of "Electro Showdown, Part 2" listed here, does it have anything to do with the version of the track uploaded by the channel "1M1"?You can find it easily on Youtube today, by the way, I can't find the alternate of Electro Showdown Part 1.mpolonest123, actually "unused source" is listed here, it's just with a different name "Farewell", I guess it was meant to be used between "Sins of The Fathers" and "Max Electrocuted", also, you've mentioned a film version of Norman's death song (Which is "Sins of The Fathers"), and If I'm not wrong, that track has just one version...
Anonymous, I think he's referring to the film version of "Spidey Logo", the one in the official album releaseDT-2017, The film version of "Harry's Transformation" mixes "Sum Total" with the part between 2:04 and 2:58 from "Special Projects", but with less instruments and a additional electric guitar. I actually like both versions, if you hear the film version, it actually sounds like it was just edited in last hour to fit in the scene, while the version in the album, I'm almost sure it was meant to be used in the full scene, you know, the uncut scene, with the parts as Harry's teeth growing, his column being fused (or whatever is that thing), he looking at the screen, and more...but then they deleted the fragments, and for Zimmer the last hour plan was just throw the intense part of "Special Projects" into the song, and for me, that worked well, I would like to hear the Intense parts of the two alternates of "Harry's Transformation" isolated.There’s a 3-minute clip of the truck chase on YouTube and I have to say the score sounds pretty cool. A lot of string/percussion work with an awesome electronic motif for the new “Terminator” model. Also, Brad Fiedel’s theme is back. ;)Hmmm, where do you have found the alternate of Electro Showdown Part 1? And what is the track "Farewell"? It is meant to be related to the Norman osborn scene? More likely "Sins of the Fathers" track?, I think not, because the track in that scene is 3 minutes long, while this "Farewell" is just 1 minute long
Also, you missed some tracks: Film Version of "Electro Showdown Part 2", Film Version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" (which is actually the original version of the Album mix, yeah that one which was cut and renamed to "I'm Electro), an Alternate of "Truck Chase", and "Sins of the Fathers" which I mentioned before.
There's also two more alternates of "Flying Montage", one which is just 40 seconds long, and the film version, which doesn't have anything to do with the original version and the two alternates listed here.
And yeah, we can't forget about the second alternate of "I'm Spiderman" which is the film version of the track, and it was actually released in the album mix!Isn't his problem when people like Bruckheimer wanted a specific sound and give no freedom in his movies.

He works for what is given.
I think Lorne already has enough noise behind her, for my liking I should start to give way to quality instead of quantity.ASCAP shows that "Farewell To Lilliput" is credited to Jackman/Willis. Is it correct or there is only Jackman? Just thought may be there is a typo on the site.Any news on the soundtrack for Jack Ryan season 2?I was hoping for Ramin Djawadi to compose The Eternals, well Joseph Trapanese is a good composer so its good news.John powell is flying lowkey now which sucks, His X3 score is just jaw dropping. The Eternals would be perfect for him cause he'd make it epic but Joseph Trapanese is scoring that Surprised Jablonsky hasn't tackled DC or Marvel yet either
Damn i miss Klaus, he needs a damn come back. Stupid talentedpush...

please add them...I’ve talked to Lorne (we follow each other on Instagram), he says he’s very open to doing a superhero movie.

Plus, Henry Jackman tackling Black Widow isn’t a surprise, but it’s pleasant news indeed. He’s scored for her during Winter Soldier, so I hope we get an expansion of whatever thematic material there was for her in the Captain America films.

P.S, it’s long overdue for Powell to score another superhero movie. X3: The Last Stand is a solid score and I’d like to hear his ideas for a MARVEL or DC film.He has only had two films get released though this year ?What has IMDB got to do with it ?I mean 7 films and 2 tv shows from his IMDB with upcoming projects.

Per: Hello ;)
"The Wings of a Film" can be compared to the original recordings !
But I think this CD can't be compared to this wonderfull LIVE !
:D

Per reply Replies: 0 || 2007-09-18 00:00:00
I really don't understand the purpose of these re-recordings. They are..., the best (and correct) word I can think of to describe it, is awful !

None comes even close to the originals. For instance pieces from scores like Crimson Tide, The Rock and the like (actually all, but in particularely these kind of scores), lack the power the originals have, and I'm not sure wether I should laugh or cry when I listen to these re-recordings.

And another thing, when they are doing these re-recordings, why do they always only do the already released stuff, why can't they do unreleased pieces instead. Not that those pieces would be any better compared to the originals, but then we would have some kind of recording of unreleased music to enjoy !

And at least then it isn't that easy to compare the pieces to the originals, where one can hear how bad and simple they truly are...

And to answer my initial 'question'/'comment', what the purpose are... it's all, and only, about money, for sure... What people who decides this don't realize, is that if they had used time and energy on releasing the original stuff instead, they would, and will for sure, make a LOT more money !!!

;)

"Film Music of HANS ZIMMER" ???
Qui a osé appeler ce CD ainsi ?

Quand j'ai lu le commentaire de Bimbo: "This CD is shit,sorry,This is not HZ music.." je me suis dit: encore un blaireau qui critique sans jamais n'avoir rien créé.

-> The Prague Philharmonic:

La musique de film ce n'est pas du classique, on la joue avec les oreilles, pas avec les yeux.

HONTE à vous ! vous avez massacré des musiques parmis les plus belles du monde.

"Film Music of HANS ZIMMER" ???
Who dared to name this CD like this ?

When a read the comment of Bimbo: "This CD is shit,sorry,This is not HZ music.." I thought: what a dumbass who criticize and who probably never created anything.
But after listening, I have to say that his short and ungainly message is a great image of this album.

When I listen this so ugly thing, I want to scream !
What a waste ! It's a disgrace !
Oh my god, how a human could dare to murder so good this so wonderfull music ?
I really hope nobody will discover Zimmer with this CD because I would really upset if I heard someone said: "hmm, so Hans Zimmer is that ?"
No my dear, this thing is classical music where the notes are the same that some of Zimmer themes.

It sounds exactly like conservatory students who get some Zimmer scores and play them in the classroom near the concentrating teacher and his metronome...
Sometimes it almost sounds like quantized MIDI !
No feeling, no nuance, a PC almost could make that thing.

I think the most ridiculous track is "Les Chevaliers de Sangreal".
Damed ! they are robots !!! so awful !
The notes never falls, they always keep the same intensity !
I never could imagine that a so beautiful music could become a so awful thing !
It's a SCANDAL ! and despite big letters this word is not strong enough.

-> The Prague Philharmonic:

Film music is not classical music, we play it with the ears, no the eyes.

You sould be ASHAMED ! you have murder some of the most beautiful musics of the world.

Erm... Well... this ain't my cup of tea. Non of these pieces have the same power and energy of the original recordings. That's the case for all cover versions anyway.

William Raih reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-27 00:00:00
Hans, you are the Man! Your music is just the darkest and most amazing among all movie scores. Scores from PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN, and GLADIATOR are the greatest. What is the difference between a collaboration score and a score done by a single film composer. The difference, especially in the sound. If you have anything to say about this, email me at RaihMortensen@yahoo.com. My name is William Raih, and I'm an 18 year old from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Keep up the good work. Keep doing scores for more films in the future. Don't quit! John Williams scored films up to when he got old.

I love the music from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies. It completely consumes me when watching the movies. I would love to have the music to learn how to play it on my piano. It is exciting and soothing at the same time. Bravo!

Oh my God... Why??!!!
This compilation had great potential but in original versions of tracks... This is the worst cover-version of great Zimmer works I ever heard... :o(((

Cloud reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-12 00:00:00
All tracks are new recordings of course. Some are entirely orchestral, others like Rain Man or Days of Thunder are just re-arranged (btw. some of these tracks suck big time). The orchestral ones are mostly very good, like Chevaliers de Sangreal, Gladiator, Last Samurai, Pearl Harbor or Driving Miss Daisy. Green Card was a rather pleasant surprise too. Tracks like Crimson Tide and The Rock are pretty pathetic as usual, when somebody tries to re-record them with orchestra (and a few low budget synths) - they just lack the power and sound very flat. Either way, it's a relatively enjoyable compilation with some great orchestral moments here and there. Next time they should go for a straight orchestral sound only though.

Theese guys did the same thing with an other guy that i'm a fan of.
Jean Michel Jarre.
They did have a lot of samples and synths, many given by Jarre himself.

That album was a bit wierd, but that is mostly because Jarre normally use symphonic orchestras as an add to his songs on concerts.

So it will be interesting to hear what they do wit this one. Thinking of many of theese tracks allready have been played by an orchestra.
By the way: I thing they may be using some gitar. At least at Thelma and Louse, and Days of Thunder.
