It would be great to see someone the people on this site that mock composers having a go at this compatition !!!I am enjoying this soundtrack a lot. Lots of very nice Middle-Eastern instruments and tone colours throughout. Only things that are holding it back from being as good as Uncharted 4 are memorable themes and no real orchestra (just orchestral samples). I understand that not being able to have the score recorded by a real orchestra is not Henry's fault, but it does detract from the overall sound and impact of the music (in a few areas). However, Henry does do a good job using other ambient sounds and pulses to cover up noticeably synthetic parts, which I think works well and is not too much of a distraction. A solid 3.5 / 5 from me.Yes, I knew it! The night isn't full of terrors after all.The Lord of Light is watching over us!Good news guy! It releases this Friday Ramin confirmed on twitter.<br><br>https://twitter.com/Djawadi_Ramin/status/900139465129172992
Does anyone know where you could find the variations on Duck Shoot, specifically the one during the King's death in Episode 2?Wanna go see Hans and/or Lorne ? Here's your chance !This score is growing on me more and more every day :DWill there be CD by La-La Land Records as well?Lol I avoid spoilers at all cost! I checked the ost after the finale last year!
Spoilers ? haha I stopped avoiding them. With al the leaking and people on social media who seem to forget that others are watching it a little bit later than airing time it's impossible to avoid them. They did release it last year in front of the final episode. With Light of the Seven as a big surprise.I'm not sure they'll release the album this Friday already because I guess they're very cautious about spoilers, but it would be stupid if they didn't release it digitally before the 29th of september.<br><br>I'm sure that new theme will be on the OST at least once and I want the creepy Jon Snow variation in episode 6. And the battle version of Light of the Seven when Drogon goes for Bronn in episode 4!That's right, I forgot about the Jon & Daenerys theme. It's beautiful.<br>Hope this will be in thereAny chance the soundtrack will be released this friday ? ;)Where can I get this soundtrack? I need it badly.
Also (to answer the question at the start of this thread) the cover art uses a portion of an unofficial poster by Ruiz BurgosI suspect that the music from the Clint Mansell sessions that ended up getting used in the soundtrack is too intertwined with the final score to separate the cues between the two composers' teams. Check out "The Leap" from Kevin Kiner (it's on his website and also on Youtube), a version of that is in the final score.<br><br>In other words, I don't think there are easily separable "Clint Mansell cues" and "Lorne Balfe cues". There is just one final score. There is a major and beautiful new theme this season! The Jon Snow Denaerys Theme!! It was heard in it's greatest version yet in the end of episode 6!<br>He means he works on many scores these days... :P4 Cues are not everywhere...lol

Just curious: are the string parts in this score synthesized, or were the string parts live recordings in front of synthesized percussion?

(I just always wonder about those kinds of details)

Sounds like a mix of live orchestra (strings + portion of brass) and samples.

I saw the movie yesterday and love it a lot. the soundtrack is awsome. for a long time that i don't jump scared in movie so I can say that I really enjoyed it. except the ending... it could have been resolved in a different way...the end made it look like it was some romantic comedy, which it wasn't. but it was great. and shia labeouf was perfect, as always. is a great actor!

Just seen the movie, it was fantastic, what a surprise. The score works wonders in it, I gotta say it's a perfect match. Great work by Zanelli, can't wait to hear more from him.
