Not bad! The "Love" cue has great orchestral moments. At least *** score after the first listen.Conrad Pope was here? That's surprising!Great score, love the action cues and the constant use of main theme in different variations throughout the whole score. Honestly I prefer this one over the Lego Batman soundtrack...Moonlight also reminds me of parts of Chappie!Oh yeah it's great, Moonlight In Vermont even has Beckett's Death from POTC 3 !
ThanksWow! I thought I recognized the name of the channel. Awesome dude. Thank you so much.Thank you.Yeah, Dimitris, it was your channel. Thanks man! :)Where do you listen to this guys? In my channel? I have the album in my channel.
And in the Track 4 isn't that a bit of Inception?Yo dude. Thanks for pointing this out. Listening to it now. Sounds excellent.Holy shit. So I just listened to this album on YouTube and it's FANTASTIC. So much 80s cheeseball fun. And the first track even has the riff in it that would go on to become the First Born theme and then, later on, way way way down the road, 160 BPM from Angels & Demons. It's really incredible how distinct Hans' voice is even as early as 1983. As much as I enjoy the vocals, I'd kill to get instrumental versions of some of these songs.Sure, pal.

Blue female troops theme (heard in "Nameless Order")
Great Wall theme ("What a Wall")
William's theme ("The Great Wall")
Tao Tei (monsters) theme (first heard in "First Battle")
Tovar's guitar motif (briefly heard in "First Battle")

These are the most prominent/identifiable ones.Just a few of the cuesheet titles from ASCAP if anyone is interested, not sure if it's the whole thing (And not in order)

INFERNO MAIN TITLE THEME
ZOBRIST AND SIENNA LOVE PT 1
ZOBRIST AND SIENNA LOVE PT 2
DECIPHER
TED TALK
ISTANBUL PT 1-6
ARRIVE IN VENICE / ESCAPE CHURCH PT 1-6
THE CISTERN
VASARI PAINTING PT 1-4
BOCHARD / DECYPHER IMAGE PT 1-4
LANGDON CHECKS HIS EMAIL PT 1
LANGDON CHECKS HIS EMAIL PT 2
THE MASK IS MISSING PT 1-6
IN FLORENCE PT 1-3
ESCAPE TRAIN PT 1
ESCAPE TRAIN PT 2
TUBE OPENED / FARADAY PROJECTION PT 1-3
EMPLOYMENT OF A MAD MAN PT 1-3
ESCAPE TO ATTIC PT 1-3
MASK RECOVERED PT 1
MASK RECOVERED PT 2
DANTES MASK/INFERNO END TITLE THEME
INFERNO END TITLE THEME PT 2
Can anybody give me a list of the names of themes and motifs in the movie. I would appreciate it.Yeah, just saw it, and loving the score! It's the film score. There's also a 5min clip released this morning with more of the score too.If you watch the live stream video on the official Dunkirk website they have some score which I would put money on is from Zimmer.I received today the CD edition, ordered via WaterTower Music shop, and very surprised that it's not a CD-R ! It's a real pressed disc.

Leviathan, King Dies and Crystal Chamber are little masterpiece. This film is too underrated, so James Newton Howard is

Yes, this score is fantastic. "Touring the City" is also a masterpiece.

How the hell does this have a fan average of 2 out of 5? Incredible score!

I think fans prefer the FYC promo that this one. Some cues like the prologue and the final battle really miss!!

Edmund Meinerts2013-03-07 14:59:26
That's a fair point but I still don't think you should give the score two stars because of it - most of the truly incredible stuff (the Leviathan cue and the tracks from Secret Swim to Just Do It) is on there. Plus the final battle cue and the Leviathan track are kind of redundant.

Most folks here don't like scores that aren't mindless droning ;)

tomPoland2013-03-08 19:13:36
It's better than every RPC score, so Zimmer fanboys rate it low.

Edmund Meinerts2013-03-09 13:02:02
While I don't think the sun shines out of Hans Zimmer's ass like a lot of folks seem to, I do wonder what the pair of you, Trent and Tom, are doing around a site like this if you think so lowly of RCP. Bit ironic, isn't it? ;)

tomPoland2013-03-09 14:40:20
Because it's fun:)

Trent Easton Navarro2013-03-11 15:32:30
Because I do think highly of Media Ventures and Hans' older stuff. And because, like Tom said, it's fun :P
