Just listened to the whole thing. Unfortunately, like four, this seems to be lacking a really strong theme like the first three soundtracks.Someone probably knows better, but I'm almost certain that "Your Voice", "Did You Forget Who I Am" and "Calling All Autobots" feature theme reprises. Haven't heard the score yet but this is just judging by the movie. It's quite Long ! :) he started at 20:15/08:15pm and they finished Inception at 23:30/11:30pm so You get a 3 Hours Event but I have to say that there is a 20mimutes Long Break but it's still a very Great Time compared to other concerts and it feels very Short !I think we All Love Hans but somehow it would feel Strange to See his Name in the legendary Blue letters. I think balfe would be ok but I have to say that Alexandre desplat would be perfekt when it comes to "writing something Star Wars/John Williams like". He would have been Perfect for rogue one because there he could have used the old themes much more than You could in a han solo Movie. Cause man did giacchino screwed up in rogue one the only good Part is the Star destroyer Crash and the rest is garbage. Can anyone here create a List which titles are actually old themes like "autobots" or "arrival to Earth" ? :)
Totally agree . Balfe or Giacchino. My guess is either Balfe or Giacchino. Giacchino has that Star Wars/John Willams-esque sound and he did an amazing job in Rogue One.

I don't see Hans doing this type of a movie. From what I understand he wants to stay away from franchises with extremely passionate fandoms lol. He seems to want to focus on smaller/more original projects. That what he said.Balfe isn't a big enough name yet ???!!! He had one of the biggest films of the year !!! Also just worked with Howard . Go Balfe !!!Hans is not a good match for the Star Wars musical universe. Out of all the RCP guys current and former, John Powell would be the natural best choice, but given his level of activity right now the chances of that happening are basically zero. Balfe is talented but he hasn't shown that he's worthy of Star Wars if you ask me.

My guess is it will go to what Disney considers the safest pair of hands, i.e. Michael Giacchino again. Which would be...OK...but somehow not that inspiring.

And for all my misgivings, if it does end up being Hans himself, I'd be incredibly curious to see what he does.Tracks 1,3,7,15,16,and 34 are probably suites. Sounds good to me!
Seglass Ni Tonday is a standout track. one of jablonskys best i've heard from him.I'd love to see Hans push himself to write something in that kind of style. It'd be an interesting challenge.

It won't be Balfe. Not big name enough (yet). No need. Found it...C'mon Everan....It did, but not telling where. Still downloading my itunes version tomorrow though, original always wins.
It could leak out already, come on! I don't want to wait anymore!!1. Sacrifice (6:46)
2. The Coming of Cybertron (4:58)
3. Merlin’s Staff (5:49)
4. No-Go Zone (3:28)
5. Did You Forget Who I Am (1:56)
32. We Have to Go (5:48)
33. Calling All Autobots (2:55)
34. Sir Edmund Burton (4:10)I have to agree. As great as Zimmer and team is/are, The star Wars id is without doubt romantic symphonic. Giacchino it should be.

Now that Ron Howard is involved, I really miss James Horner right now. Can you imagine his interpretation of the Star Wars Universe if he got the opportunity?Balfe would be my choice also . Genius was a cool scoreGiacchino would be the best choice. Hans shouldn't do a Star Wars movie because Star Wars needs a specific kind of music and that's not hans' type of music. I think giacchino has done an amazing job on Rogue One and I think he will do a great job on Han Solo

Leviathan, King Dies and Crystal Chamber are little masterpiece. This film is too underrated, so James Newton Howard is

Yes, this score is fantastic. "Touring the City" is also a masterpiece.

How the hell does this have a fan average of 2 out of 5? Incredible score!

I think fans prefer the FYC promo that this one. Some cues like the prologue and the final battle really miss!!

Edmund Meinerts2013-03-07 14:59:26
That's a fair point but I still don't think you should give the score two stars because of it - most of the truly incredible stuff (the Leviathan cue and the tracks from Secret Swim to Just Do It) is on there. Plus the final battle cue and the Leviathan track are kind of redundant.

Most folks here don't like scores that aren't mindless droning ;)

tomPoland2013-03-08 19:13:36
It's better than every RPC score, so Zimmer fanboys rate it low.

Edmund Meinerts2013-03-09 13:02:02
While I don't think the sun shines out of Hans Zimmer's ass like a lot of folks seem to, I do wonder what the pair of you, Trent and Tom, are doing around a site like this if you think so lowly of RCP. Bit ironic, isn't it? ;)

tomPoland2013-03-09 14:40:20
Because it's fun:)

Trent Easton Navarro2013-03-11 15:32:30
Because I do think highly of Media Ventures and Hans' older stuff. And because, like Tom said, it's fun :P
