After some research the only thing I could find is a playlist on Spotify, which by the way has an extra track "48 - What's Your Dream? (Alternate)" so 55 total.
The Spotify API shows that the tracks were added on 2019-07-23 but they are local tracks, which means they aren't available on Spotify but probably only to the user who created the playlist (I'm not 100% sure though since I don't know how Spotify works).
That also means they probably have the actual files.
I really hope they get released one day, along with the recording sessions.This is honest to god one of the WEIRDEST songs I have ever heard lolI assume “safe in my arms has still not been released? Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard seriously deserve an award for the movie. I too enjoy listening to it. Especially when im on the road. Hands down, Zimmer is my favorite composer of all time. He and i are both German. Like that has to do with anything. IDK. The "End Credits" from Batman Begins i have and love. All I gotta do now is get The Dark Knight "End Credits" and i'll be happy!

For almost 30 years he gave us the most kitch, all american cheasy empty easy theme music ever. He even steal from other composer, for exemple Gustav Holst, Mars from The Planets for gladiator. And now with this Dark Knight, nothing interesting, nothing new, the score is almost the same as Batman begins. I am a big fan of Batman since I was young and this boring music makes me angry ! I prefer the Elfman score from the original Batman, 1000000 times better.

Hi Roy you can find it in batman begins original score the of the song is ''Molossus'' Or in the expanded score of batman begins too in The ''End Credits'' of begins and because you've heard it in The Dark Knight there are 3 other releases of the dark knight score coming soon i heard i think it will be there but you can find in batman begins score the Original in ''Molossus'' and the Expanded In The End Credits

A Sentient Being, you got me first!! I couldn’t agree more with what you‘ve said in your last post. I was about to post something here too, after seeing the movie..

Well, maybe the guys that posted an answer to what I’ve said earlier are right and I was overzealous/ passionate.. /Apologizes for that.

After seeing the movie yesterday I’d like to add something that you are probably aware of already: THE MUSIC OF Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard FITS LIKE A GLOVE to the Picture of THE DARK KNIGHT.

As for the other subject, you people Sascha and KEN s., perhaps you (think you) have such a strong name as John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Howard Shore or anyone else music composer of our time, that you can criticise and judge Hans Zimmer’s and James Newton Howard’s decisions and work?? Who are you people really? Tell us, so that we recognise you publicly and then you CAN have your opinion HEARD and written.. Maybe then you will compose YOUR OWN themes and the ONES you prefer to what H.Z. and J.N.H. have done here.

Until then, maybe you should KEEP your PERSONAL opinion on Hans Zimmer’s WORK for YOURSELVES..

Because there are a few of us who believe that if there’s something out there in the world that we don’t like, then the first thing that should be changed would be our stance / OURSELVES ...

Greetings!!! : - )

* And by the way, RemoteDead6 you are completely out of the subject... Maybe it’s not A Sentient Being who is an idiot, but someone else...

You are right about what you said on Beethoven’s being deaf, BUT was Beethoven BLIND or incapable to READ too???.....

I have seen the movie 2 times in 24h (yeah thats how good it is my friend) and I recall enjoying that song of some very similar variation of that song during several action scenes.

Hope you can enjoy Heath Ledger's Joker as soon as possible.

Zimmer: Nothing he does seems to be special to him. He seems to have no sense of occasion (which is weird because he's German and lived in England for a long time). He treats everything the same. For god's sake, his action music for the Dark Knight is almost the same as The Peacemaker.

He knew this was going to be a special film and yet he brought nothing special to the table. No great themes. Nothing. Just a vascillating 4-note figure that can only be the musical representation of Bruce Wayne/Batman's singularity of purpose and focus and a siren-like motif in the brass that can be a "help is on the way" idea.

Really I think old Hans has actually just composed himself out and may never have anything fresh to say again (that, of course, if your argument states he ever had anything fresh to say in the first place).

bruceV, thank you so much for your support! You got the words out of my mouth regarding RemoteDead 6's post. He missed my point entirely!

Truly, guys, we may love it or hate it, but it sure does not mean it's bad.

Here, in Serbia, The Dark Knight has its premiere on July 23. I'm gonna eat my shorts (and everything that's in it) until then!!! Hopefully, my copy of TDK score arrives from Amazon.com on 22nd!

is the music that in the trailer of The Dark Knight in the end credits of The Dark Knight??????

bruceV reply Replies: 0 || 2008-07-18 00:00:00
Right….

I suppose, Sascha, (who you are a big fan of H.Z.) you are angry - about the soundtrack of The Dark Knight, is that so??

Well, since I consider myself too as a ‘fan’ of H.Z. and his music, I’d like to state a little something here too…

First of all, Sascha, would it be possible to indicate to me how many of these people that post a comment here are ‘angry’ with the soundtrack of The Dark Knight?...

Furthermore – and most important – is my second question to you AND to ALL of those ‘so called’ fans and big lovers and collectors of H.Z. music:
Beyond those comments of yours about this particular music (The Dark Knight) is there anything hiding?? I mean did you HAVE to pay (a lot of money) or had you been paid to criticize Hans Zimmer’s music and NOW WITH THIS SOUNDTRACK all of these stop to function and make your life so miserable that you can’ stand, despite the fact that you are a fan of H.Z. and judge his choices in this way??..
Because if it is so, you could simply stop hearing to this (insulting) soundtrack, TOSS IT AWAY and never buy a H.Z. soundtrack in your life again….

To sum up my comment I’d like to ask you Sascha and all of those people I mentioned before: Do you REALLY think you NEED to pay/ get/ hear to this soundtrack?? Or else something really serious will happen?....

I think there is still freedom of choice and there’s not an obligation to hear this PARTICULAR CD!!!!! If you don’t like it for some reason go on and hear anything else and don’t criticize the work that has been done here.

Greetings to ALL HANS ZIMMER and his Music fans!!!! : - )

hey great track but I am looking for the music in the trailers and also in the End credits of the movie.

Anyone has an idea which track that is?

Renan reply Replies: 0 || 2008-07-18 00:00:00
Zimmer and Howard talked a lot about that THEME in many interviews...

I was really expecting something really COOL...as Howard keep saying "Zimmer wrote a wonderful big theme...". But it seems that the THEME wasn't used in this score.

At least I couldnt find it.

There has been, indeed, some evolution in Batman's Two Note Motif. In track 2, there is a Bass/Cello line added to the main Motif. Its very beatiful, emotional and touching. But it doesnt really made any difference. It worked more as a fulfilling line.

Someone said that track 8 "Like a Dog Chasing Cars" featured the THEME. Thats not true, what we have at track 8 is Variations on Track 2 (I'm not a Hero) motifs and "themes". The opening for track 8 is a motif very similar to what we heard at 44 seconds on track 2, but now its fast-paced and harmony is more tense.

For the Joker theme, come on! We cant even say its a theme. There is no such thing as an "One note" theme. Its a motif...nothing but that.

I loved the score, thats true. Its a masterpiece, on its own purposes. But there are definitely many flaws.

Steve reply Replies: 0 || 2008-07-18 00:00:00
I don't like it. The joker theme is the worst. The rest is just reprise of the "molossus" theme from batman begins... Very disappointing.

I dont care about his ways. He makes music for maney and for as and he must do it well,but this score is bullshit. I think time of Mr. H.Z have past. ########

KEN s. reply Replies: 0 || 2008-07-18 00:00:00
I like this Batman Dark Knight soundtrack, but only the hero theme song (Like a dog chasing cars and Introduce a little anarchy).

But somehow I think H.Z. work is not as good as before. I'm a big fan, but I think Pirates of the Caribbean 1,2 (not 3), Gladiator is a lot better than his latest work.

Just a note, I don't agree that "if i don't like his work, don't buy and stop listen" I think if I'm H.Z. I will listen to the angry people, try to find the problem and fix it, rather than listen to the big fan that always say "H.Z. is the best composer in the world" He will have no improvement, if he don't listen to comments
