To whom it may concern...

Is it possible to download or in any other way purchase the Hannibal (Expanded) score somewhere? I have the original motion picture soundtrack, but would LOVE to have them both..

Best regards

Nicholas10 and 16 are missing from the store pack.Most probablyI am not a hybrid, i will try to give my opinion. I think, music in 5 season will come out when and 6 season. But I really want to be wrong!!! :)It's very sad...(((
The 'Allentown Brothers' track is pretty damn awesome (find it on YouTube). It's like a mix between gothic Elfman, Desperate Housewives and Transformers. I love it.

It's one of those scores that people don't talk about much but it's actually pretty cool.

An awesome venue would be the Opera House in Odessa.Want this so bad!!!Does anyone have a breakdown of this with the official score album?
Hats off to Batu Sener for working on many of the score's best cues though!
It all comes to personal preference I think. Personally I’ve moved on from collecting cd’s (or anything really) and would rather have everything digital simply to utilize space.

That being said, I completely understand the appeals of having physical media, it would be sad to see that go away for the people who really love it.It's not only to appreciate the work, its to have something "real" in your hands, for your music collection. I don't like only to have a digital music archive. Of course, i rip all the cds i own to WAV and MP3. But i want to have them in my physical music collection.These day, sure. But we usually get news of the next one by the time he's finished wrapping up the current one.Powell only does 1 score a year.Still no news on his next score? Is he taking a break or something? Working on more concert stuff?
Was pleasantly surprised by this one when I first heard it. Outside of the ‘modern scoring’ portions you get some fun noir music for the squad, solid action writing, and even some good emotional cues.

Also gotta love the rhythmic idea from Antz popping up here...Also, the use of the guitars by Jablonsky, are still the best since the 90sI give a spin (almost 4 years after my last listening), it grown on me (still don't consider of the best of Jab), but much better than Skyscraper (ok score) and Battleship (guilty pleasure, but not a good score by any means), i like the style of Jablonsky in this one, his rhythms (but i still don't care about the 'motif' for Cohen or certain sound design tracks like 'You Can't Shoot Me' or 'You Know the Drill')

But still has such cool action moments (Hot Potato With a Grenade) and emotional/romantic moments, and still enjoyed that from this.<3 Buck Takes the LeadHybrid do you know what cues Mancina worked on here? I read in the Twister booklet that the director heard a cue from this and wanted Hans for Twister but he told him that it was actually Mark.

Any idea about Bobby's credits here Hybrid? ASCAP doesn't list anything for the specific album cues and I got no idea what to search for regarding session names. Bobby is credited on the "Outlander Theme" though, so does that mean that every cue with the main theme present he should be credited?

I just now heard this score and LOVE it! Very good! Reminds me of Pirates/King Arthur but still sounds original. What surprises me is that some people can't hear the difference between a real orchestra and a fake one. Since the Budapest Symphony played this score and you can easily tell it's live musicians! Orchestrated lushly by Bruce Fowler, engineered by Jeff Biggers, both first rate talent! But yes, there are synths in this score too. It's a sci-fi/fantasy movie about an alien monster, so it's not out of place. Tracks 1 and 3 were my favorites.

@Ele:

I never said that you said it was a bad score. I was talking about people like the guy who said that Zanelli was a bad composer and that the Outlander score was "disgusting." I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear at first.

Ele reply Replies: 0 || 2009-12-07 00:00:00
@Miles I never said its bad & complete rubbish and so on. It's mediocre score, its rly badly orchestrated. Strings do not sound like strings, but like synth. Strings should have sound as strings. As so on so on etc.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-12-06 00:00:00
I don't see why some people are so displeased with this soundtrack; it's a perfectly serviceable and competently crafted action score that blends traditional with electronic, just like the movie itself. Zanelli definitely has talent, as his work on Into the West demonstrates.

BTW, Bobby Tahouri's score to Echelon Conspiracy has just been released on iTunes--might be worth a look.

Simply Amazing, Bravo Geoff :)

Yes, its very meh. I'd give it 5, maybe 6. Listen to Into The West by Zanelli, its much much better. Into The West should got 8/10 here :(

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-14 00:00:00
I haven't found any problems with the sound myself, but maybe that's just me...

jo reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-14 00:00:00
disgusting....zanelli: change work...you are a bad composer..

Ele reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-08 00:00:00

Hey people ! I'm in France, and unfortunately I can't find the CD of outlander anywhere :(
Can anybody help me and tell me where I can find it please?
I can't believe there's not the musik from the shield scene on the cd! It was probably my favorite among all the others...But I guess the others are not that bad either :)

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-04 00:00:00
Well... for 27 euros id expect more :)

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-03 00:00:00
As long as the music is good, I don't really think it matters what the cover looks like. Hope to hear more from GZ in the future.

On a side note, do you think that the Delgo score will ever be released? If what I heard in the trailers is Zanelli's music, a CD would be pretty sweet!

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-15 00:00:00
They also need to learn how to design a cover, the front cover is quite nice... but the rest is amateuristic photoshopping.. emphasizing amateuristic!! And poor selection of pictures... Luckely they didn't place a photo of the composer on the inlay like they did with Max Payne...
If this is what you get for a 1500 limited cd release...
Perhaps I'd even prefer the Varèse covers over this, at least they can select good pictures....!

This is a great score. Geoff did a superb job. It is a good mixture of his other scores, and yes there is a slight King Arthur feel throughout the score. I'm listening to it right now and the theme is well done. I really have no complaints about this score.

Aww, how disappointing. This time it's really nothing but noise. The only tracks that stand out are The Moorwen Genocide and Kainan Becomes King.
