Main theme is on Youtube. I quite like it. I prefer Hans doing themes like this rather than the stuff he is doing with FIFA.I'm surprised no one is talking about this one, its one of Rupert's best scores imo.Lately I have been listening to the album carefully, and the truth is that I did not quite understand why Hans did not just use a big orchestra instead of the synthesizer.It would have really been interesting to see Ritcher scoring a chase on the photo, although without a doubt his work would not have been anything generic.Richter is a conceptual artist, I love his Leftovers score, but come one, scoring to picture ?

He writes pieces that are used in scenes, not the other way around...

Richter scoring a moon buggy chase ? Hell no... lol you could see from day one it was gonna be replaced...
^ Yeah the edit floating around matches Felix’s almost to a T. Only major difference is

“Our Final Stand - Showdown - United Greece - Finale”

Which is broken up into four separate cues. Realistically you could edit it anyway you want if you prefer the smaller cues. Personally, I like the long suite-like format of this release. Kinda like the album release for “Event Horizon” lol.I hope they at least release Richter's score.My Edit:

01. Rise Of An Empire - Marathon - King Darius - Artemisia - Man To God - War (13:36)
=

M1A Rise of An Empire (09:48)
M1B From Man to God King (03:44)

02. Artemisia Suite = History of Artemisia
Greek Action Suite = Marathon
Xerxes Rebirth Suite = From Man to God King
Greek Sacrifice Suite = ???
Artemisia’s Childhood Suite = Artemisia’s Childhood
Greek Attack Suite = Greeks on Attack
Queen Gorgo Suite = Queen Gorgo
Xerxes Thoughts Suite = Xerxes Thoughts
Greek History Suite = History of the Greeks
Greek Victory Suite = Greeks Are Winning

Hope this helps! :-)Hybrid can you tell us what album cues are the suites ?!well, from what Lorne wrote on Twitter, it should be releasedCool thanks for getting back! I am still a little bit confused though. Do any Basil Poledouris cues go somewhere in that list? It’s been a very very long time since I have seen the film.The Hans cues used are :

1M1 OPENING CREDITS / MAIN TITLE (USED FROM 2:18 TO 3:03)
1M2 GOLDEN STAIRCASE (USED FROM 0:00 TO 1:56)
2M2 JACK SEES WOLVES
2M3 BLACK WOLF
2M6 THE TREK CONTINUES (USED FROM 0:28 TO 1:15)
3M1 THIN ICE
3M2 SKUNKER'S DEATH
3M3 FULL MOON WOLF ATTACK
3M3A MORNING WOLF ATTACK
6M4 THE BEAR
6M4A THE BEAR ATTACK
7M3 IN THE STABLE
7M5 WHITE FANG FIGHTS SATAN
8M1 FIGHT MONTAGE (FIRST HALF USED)
8M3 PIT FIGHT (FINAL 20 SEC USED)

All the rest, by definition, is Basil's score...
Hey hybrid soldier! You mentioned on the ghost in the shell page about white fang so I came here! Can you give us a list of the cues as they appear in the film please? The Basil Poledouris cues and the Hans Zimmer cues pleaseI imagined it ... hopefully this time Max Ritcher does not give him a lollipop and refuses to launch his musicYes Unbreakable.

Exactly like White Fang. Have Poledouris write a score, then HZ do another, then pick what you want from both.

Ghost In The Shell was kinda different...In the credits of the movie, Max Ritcher appears as the Main Composer, meanwhile, Lorne appears as Additional MusicI find that it would be best to accredit both and launch the two soundtracks and all happy.

The complete score is technically the website tracks combined with tracks from the promo and a dvdrip of the end credits

T-Mann0362011-09-08 22:28:31
Maybe, but it's still a complete score.

Karambaru2011-09-09 00:05:49
No it isn't. Cues are still missing, and OST cues are edited/incomplete.

T-Mann0362011-09-09 01:36:30
Do you know which one, Karambaru?

T-Mann0362011-09-09 01:37:23
BTW, this is a film score by Klaus Badelt... not an OST.

Me2011-09-09 02:21:03
Track 43 Finale is not the film version and is also incomplete (hear the cut at the end)and tracks 39 is a mix of another track (Nightwatcher Chase)

Areozz2011-09-09 02:27:09
I think that you do not know the meaning of the phrase OST. What does it mean to you? 'Cause it means Original Soundtrack to me. And this page is not for an original soundtrack, it is for a promotional score. I have plenty of folders labeled as OSTs in my collection; in my opinion, that means it was the commercial release of the score--the *original* release.

pfft2011-09-09 03:04:29
see above

Karambaru2011-09-09 10:41:43
I used "OST" because the "Promo" was originally meant to be the commercial version of the score... Aborted for some reasons.

I think 43.Finale is an edited re-use of 8.Those Glory Days !

T-Mann0362011-09-09 16:17:36
Yeah whatever...

I hope rest 12 tracks will be available soon.

T-Mann0362011-06-26 19:00:23
I hope so too. I tip my hat off to Klaus for composing this film. Including the works of POTC: CotBP, Catwoman, and Poseidon, he's truly one of the greatest film composers of this generation.

Levente reply Replies: 0 || 2010-09-03 00:00:00
Yeah sure it can be done, but I like the way it is. Besides I saw this movie only twice, so I don't remember the chronological order.

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2010-09-02 00:00:00
@ Levente - Isn't that done on most of these soundtracks, like the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and Batman Begins? With a proper audio tool it should be possible to edit the music as originally intended

Levente reply Replies: 0 || 2010-08-07 00:00:00
It is hard to give chronological order, since most of the 1, 2 and 3 minutes tracks were put together.

"Excuse me for a lame question, but since this is a "promotional release", is it going to be released officially in some time? If so, does anybody know the official future label?"

There were plans for an album, I read an interview with Badelt that he was in negotiation for a release. This album here is unofficial, the promotional release gives the whole things away, to you.

To anyone who has this score: does it include the music featured in the two cues on the soundtrack? I loved that string solo on I Love Being A Turtle!

DemonStar reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-22 00:00:00
They're not present identically in the promo, but the music is present in other tracks on here...

"I Love Being A Turtle" is very similar to "Stars Align" on the promo.

"Nightwatcher" is a shortened version of "Love Being A Turtle" on this promo.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-22 00:00:00
The 2 OST tracks are just montages, nothing which is not in the promo...

OK, thanks!

Deakins reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-22 00:00:00
This score is so 'Piratish'! Good job of Badelt&Co. A pure remote control score with a good-equilibrate mix of chinese trend like Kung-Fu Panda and rock riffs.

Cloud reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
An hour of pure fun and definitely one of Badelt's better scores. Too bad it will reach only hardcore fans.

Lil' Man reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
I gladly deleted my sfx ridden bootleg. It is sad that there is music missing, but to hear it without sfx is worth the cut.

loph reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-14 00:00:00
The music is great. Anyway, it seems - if I am listening correctly - some quite good tunes from the movie are missing - the almost opening jungle theme for instance. Well... still keeping my "complete score w/ sfx" along with this one ;)

Wow, I see some heated discussions in here. I think the enthusiasm is fully understandable/commendable but then folks, seriously, when was the last time that some album got added on this website and failed to surface on the WWW later on? :-D

(P.S. There might have been some, but I doubt they were of high importance)

OMG reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-14 00:00:00
lol this is so easy to find if you use Google

It's even available in lossless

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-05 00:00:00
TMNT Fan, I'm not the source of this promo, and I'm not the only one who has it, though it hasn't leaked...

But I don't decide anything, it's not up to me... (:-|)

Skyler reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-05 00:00:00
Klaus Badelt is credited for the first POTC - While he didn't necessarily compose most of the music for that film, that soundtrack is one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time and he is credited for it. After that, one would think the general public would be begging for more Badelt soundtracks!

When I discover an artist or composer and enjoy their work, the first thing I do is try to find other stuff by them.

It seems to me that Klaus would have an *advantage* over most film composers in that he was actually recognized by the mainstream population (a rarity these days). I can't imagine why the labels think people wouldn't want to buy scores like this one.

TMNT Fan reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-05 00:00:00
Let me ask you this though, and I don't think this goes against any rules, are you the only person who has the score or are there others? Besides Klaus himself of course. Again, I'm just curious and don't want to know any names or anything like that.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-04 00:00:00
This promo CD page is, in my opinion, a way to show that this music actually interests some people...

Maybe some labels will react one day... who knows ?

I asked Andrew Raiher, from Klaus's team, who wrote additional music for this score, why so many of Klaus's scores don't get released...

His answer was clear : "Because it doesn't sell..."

:S

It would be kind if the CD owner can share this awesome score with everyone else...I really do want to listen them!

Bondo reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-04 00:00:00
I'd actually like to THANK Hybrid Soldier for posting this information, even if it isn't readily available. It's informative to know it even exists. And besides, we have to come to terms with the fact that we'll never have most of this music at all! But it helps to have track names when discussing the music itself.

TMNT Fan reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-03 00:00:00
The only people who have this score won't even upload it for others to share. It's not like we can go out and buy it, what's the point of a promo then?! I'm ridiculously frustrated by this and to be honest, I don't even care about it anymore.

Alexander Schneider reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-30 00:00:00
Oh please! I am waiting for this to be released since the movie came out! I am currently listening to the songs from the movie but what I liked was the score, not the songs!!! When is this getting out and be available for purchase? It cannot be that hard to produce... Or put out to download! Please!
