would love to help out, but the video/track is blocked :/Think about Gemini Man, the score come out the same day as the movie (in that case, 11th October), and the details come the same week.<br><br>We'll likely get final details towards the end of the week or early next week. I guess I'm just a little surprised that it's taken this long. The movie had surprise screenings either yesterday or the day before, so it seems like everything's pretty final.Sorry, that is the wrong link above (film version)<br><br>This is the track I'm talking about. Does anyone recognize this version.<br><br>https://youtu.be/etkri6OKLpEThere is an expanded score album with the track called "Sniper/Border Post". It is different from the piece used in the film. Does anyone know the true identity of that track. I like the synth sound and the male vocal singing/wailing/crying in this cue.<br><br>https://youtu.be/DbENmej_cH0
But the scores comes out in 1th NovemberThe movie is out this Wednesday in some territories."In the third one he writes the "father and son" theme, it's okay but it's harmonically basic and the melody is UNMEMORABLE"<br><br><br>Aaaaaaaaaaaaand your whole analysis falls flat right there ! :PThanks Edmund.<br><br>@PaulH I am not meaning to say that Balfe cannot compose good music. There are compositions that I like: the Picasso theme is creative and well-written. Just that I find his arrangements of others more compelling usually than his own material.<br><br>An example that is good of this is kung fu panda. His arrangements of themes are really fun and energetic. In the third one he writes the "father and son" theme, it's okay but it's harmonically basic and the melody is unmemorable. Contrast to Hans: the Po theme and Spirit theme are precise, fun, harmonically clever, and memorable. But his score cues sometimes feel lacking: his transitions are clunky, the bridge material is uncreative and basic. <br><br>It must be so much fun to work on those projects together. Coming up with idea and hearing what someone can turn it into, or getting to play with someone's idea without the pressure of starting from scratch.And also, be prepared for more Studio Time for the score
Tom said in his Twitter: 'Details very soon'<br><br>Altough, is only a week awayThe Nils Frahm track was released years agoNo one is mentioning "Says" from Nils Frahm. What a masterpiece of music. Love how it develops and getting so emotional even with that futuristic sound-effect. One of the highlights of this score, with those tracks Cerbei mentioned.Balfe is a great arranger but an even better composer.Beyond Two Souls is still one of the best game soundtracks.<br><br>I must have watched another movie in regards to Balfe filling in the gaps - that makes no sense?The soundtrack released seems not to relate to what was actually used in the film.Balfe “gap” music is featured much more and works brilliantly<br>
Last night I was talking to Lorne, and he told me that in principle there is intention to release the full score.I'd be very interested to hear the supposed Balfe complete score to picture where he apparently sought to elevate it, as someone here put it. The Richter is pitch-perfect and works massively well to picture and, not dissing Balfe at all, his stuff is literally 'additional music' to fill the gaps.Aplusle, that's really well put actually.Don't feel bad. You've just summed up why Hans and Lorne make a good team. Lorne is by all accounts a fantastic arranger and can bring out the best in others' ideas but I sometimes find his own compositions are a bit basic or leave me cold. Hans on the other hand always nails the theme and the concept but his scoring to picture to me feels clunky and a bit amateurish, especially when the music is dense. <br><br>Both super talented in their own ways. :-)Is there anyway o get sheet music for Into the pie machine for orchestra?

@ Link

Listen to them all and then go to your temporary internet files folder and they're there in MP3.

Thank you very much for your explanation Hybrid Soldier!!!
I've a question: about the lenght, is this the same problem of A&D soundtrack?!!!
Thanks...

Woah, in Amazon there's previews for all of them!! Wooo!!!
Too bad they aren't complete or in mp3.

@ anonymous

I'm sorry but that clip IS NOT "Bumblebee".
Have you heard the "Gears of War 2" Score?
If there is something it doesn't sound like is like a "video Game score". Jablonsky did quite a job on that. That clip at his site is, as another anonymous poster said, the track "Dom and Maria", track #40 in the unofficial release. No layer subtraction, no tempo modifications, its just it, the exact same clip is the "middle" section of that track.

It is indeed available on the Amazon.co.uk site in MP3 download.

as i said, the score is out there.

As a conscience thing, i will DL it 'cause i need my fix but i assure Mr. Jablonsky that i have bought the CD and HQ MP3 DL from iTunes. I'll only DL the "illegal" version because i really want to hear tis. And i hope you all BUY IT.

As for Amazon.UK and their "geographical limitations", i quote from the movie;
"Decepticons (Amazon.UK), suck my popsicle"- sticker on the back of the ice-cream truck/Mudflap+Skids

@ Jose

did you manage to get it?

Jose reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-16 00:00:00
This score Is by fare the greatest music of all that i heard in my life.

westfall reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-16 00:00:00
in the official score of Gears of War 2 the "Dom and Maria" track is #21 called "With Sympathy". It's been remixed for the CD and a choir voice added.

you will

about Gears of War 2 - I get what is being said but Ihave to disagree. MOst mainline composers who end up doing a video game score use less layering/orhcestra in their music which winds up making the score sound alot cheaper than say a movie score would be....Obviously because you're talking about a video game and nobody is going to toss in expensive orchestral work or put too much effort into it (especially when they have bigger projects to work on -ie Transformers). I didn't find Gears of War 2 to be anything huge...if anything it sounds very much like his DWAR music, which was very synthy at times - as if he used his cheaper equipment to score it. Composers seem to do this all the time (Harry Gregson Williams is one of them)

I could have worked but the damned AMAZON MP# DOWNLOADER aplication screws everything up.

Infinite White and I Rise, You Fall, look like Gladiator OST. I wish that someone will bring something new. Something revolutionary.

Go to the site, type amazon.co.uk into the URL box on that site and it should let you browse the UK Amazon site as if you were in the UK.

In theory anyway... I dunno if it will let you buy, but worth a try.

westfall reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-16 00:00:00
@ OMG

how does that work?

OMG reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-16 00:00:00
Maybe a UK based proxy site would work, such as daveproxy.co.uk

westfall reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-16 00:00:00
This is another case where these companies just seem to want to lose money. Amazon.uk has it available in MP3 but because of those restrictions many of us can't buy it. I would have bought it as soon as i saw it but i can't. By tonight, i'm sure someone will have this uploaded on the web and i will get it. So, what is the logic when they complain about P2P sharing but don't allow us to BUY the actual product? Go figure...

I really want to thank Hybrid for what you wrote: your explanation is usefull and it makes us understand a lot about additional composers' listing.
Thanks again.

DemonStar reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
Very interesting clips indeed. Too bad the album is a little short, but at least we're getting it on CD and not download-only! Can't wait!

John Steel reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
I'm a little bit disappointed too, but I expected a length shorter than most releases considering the economic crisis.
If you watch carefully, all major releases were this 'short'. Star Trek, Terminator, Wolverine, and now TF2.
I bet that GI Joe will be around 40-45 minutes as well.
Maybe the rights became more expensive.
But I agree with Demonstar, that it is much much better, than a poor digital download, or a 30 min score album.

John Steel reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
Oh, and the clips sound promising! :)

Lee reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
43 min?

Let's hope this will compensated by quality of the score.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
The score is just 53 minutes...

I'm really disappointed... :(

At least the clips sound GREAT ! :D

Hi folks,

visit Amazon.de for 3 excerpts of the new Transformers-Score. Search under "MP3-Downloads" and type "Transformers -Revenge of the Fallen Score". I found 3 cues and could listen to them about 20 secs long each. Not much, but okay. Soon it's Friday, anyway.

Enjoy!
Greetings!

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
Yes, that's true (it's the same motif) but i think 'Transformers 2' will be more powerful than what Jablonsky did with game music.
Moreover , Jablonsky benefits often of a good process in the mix of his cd's. So, quality will be at the meeting.

westfall reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
You are absolutely correct. But as i said it has a really Transformers feel to it. I really have to take a good listen to that soundtrack. Guess we'll have to wait till actual samples come out, though i'm sure Mr. Jablonsky made a good job.

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-15 00:00:00
No, it isn't a 'Transformers 2' cue, this sample comes from the game 'Gears of Wars 2' and the track is named 'Dom and Maria'.
